• The staff was pleasant and helpful.
• In going green, the hot water in the showers could have been a little hotter.

“The hotel was located in an easy accessible location off the freeway. Overall environment was comfortable. Rooms were clean but slightly on the small size with not a lot of maneuverability for a 3-star hotel. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Lobby area was medium-sized, with few places to sit, but efficient.”

“I stayed at this hotel for three days while my son attended a private summer school on Thursday and Friday. While leaving early Sunday morning and dropping my son back off at his summer school, I headed to the airport. As I reached the rental car agency, he called and said he had left his phone at the hotel in the bed which he does every night. I called the hotel and provided them with information and explained I was catching a flight but my son would be back to pick his phone up. We were told they checked and there wasn't a phone. I know this was inaccurate because I saw him using the phone in bed and I dropped him off ten minutes down the road. I will never stay at this hotel again and we're in Connecticut each year, sometimes twice. I think it's poor business!”

• Convenient to my child's college.
• Only would give me king bed.

“I was traveling with my mom. The hotel did give me a (horrible, lumpy) roll-away but would not budge from the king bed no matter what I said, did, offered to pay, etc..”

• Towels were omitted from room, but taken care of with a call.

“Courtyard by Marriott is always good and no surprises. The showers drain, the water is hot, the iron works, the thermostat works. I don't need much, but the stay was good!”

• It had everything
  I wanted, and was very clean, friendly staff, coffee in room, super.
• I like a free breakfast, this had a warm buffet but it was very pricey for breakfast.

“Everything was great, clean, convenient and courteous. . It had a full warm breakfast buffet that was nice but not homemade, and it was pricey. We ate it one morning and then went out for the other mornings to get breakfast. Spent half as much and got better food. Very helpful staff and beautiful facility. Lots of restaurants in the area too.”

• Night manager was sincere and helpful.
• Signs in the hotel lot exclaiming no responsibility for car theft or vandalism should be a dead give away of an ongoing theft problem.

“I felt unsafe. I normally patronize only reputable hotels for the safety and comfort of my family. Never would I imagine that the hotel would not have adequate security in place to protect the guests as well as employees. Security may not always prevent a crime but it may act as a deterrent, and surely would be helpful to police investigating a crime.”

• Great room for the negotiated price. Nice location.
• Wish it had mini fridge and microwave.

“This hotel was clean and in a quiet location off of the highway. The hotel overall was clean and neat. A small snack pantry was available, as there were not restaurants within walking distance. Overall a nice place to stay for business or leisure. Nice indoor pool and Jacuzzi!”

• Typical Marriott chain quality - something you can depend on.
• Note in rooms advising to remove GPS units from your car and bring them inside.

“This is a typical Marriott Courtyard hotel. Well run, clean and very comfortable. Close to the Interstate for easy on/off. All major restaurants can be found within 2 miles.”

• The pool.
• Hot tub was broken, fire alarm malfunctioned at midnight for 2 hours. My children and I had to evacuate the building.

“Hotel room was comfortable and clean. However, the hallway had dirty linen & dishes from the previous night for the whole weekend. We were disappointed that the hot tub was broken for the weekend but had a good time in the pool.”

• Fast friendly service, clean, quiet.
• TV volume stink, room a bit small, crowded pool, need adult swim time.

“Comfortable beds, TV volume and location we not great. Pool was crowded with kids until 10 pm, pool closed at 11. Would like to see kids swim stop at 9 pm so adults can use. Would like to see small microwave in room. Staff was fast and courteous, very clean hotel. Never did find exercise room, but never asked either. I would stay again.”

• Rooms were very nice and they put on a great breakfast.
• Pool and hot tub needs cleaning very poor water conditions, never had a hotel leave water in bottle and charge you if you drink it /bad taste of serve.

“I think its a nice place but they just need to improve the pool water quality/ the jets on the hot tub were lousy and paint chipping/ no towels and when I asked for some they only brought 5 towels in.”

• Internet wasn't wireless.

“We were in Walling ford for a quick over night to watch a hockey game in nearby Cromwell. We had 2 double comfortable beds. This is a 3 story hotel. 2nd & 3rd floors all offer balconies. Plenty of work space. Just down the road was some shopping centers and many restaurants. Chef's--a huge cooking store is about 10 minutes away. Although we arrived about an hour before check-in, front desk was very helpful in finding us a room that was available. There is a large open lobby with plenty of spots to get together (if you're traveling with a group). I thought it was a nice touch to have a microwave available to the guests. This was located in the business center. Coffee was available all day.”

• The beds were very comfortable and we loved having a refrigerator and internet service in our room.

“It is very pretty, but nothing is nearby. You have to drive a few miles to a grocery store, gas station or restaurant. The beds were comfortable, they provided the hookup for internet access and the staff was friendly. The maids did a great job keeping our room clean. We were happily surprised to have a refrigerator, especially since courtyard hotels do not have a free continental breakfast. We felt we got more than our money's worth at this hotel.”

• Bed was very comfortable and location quiet.
• I got as good a room etc at a Comfort Inn the following 2 nights.

“The Courtyards are always very nice but too pricey for my travel allowance. I have a hard time understanding why they think a night at a hotel and a shower in the morning is worth $100+ a night.”

• I liked that it had a grill area.
• I did not like that there was no dining/bar.

“It was a very nice hotel. I would go there again. There was no dining, except $ breakfast, but it is within a couple miles of many restaurants. The beds weren't the best but for a night, ok. The hot tub was cold. Pool was warmer.”

• The outside courtyard was very relaxing for everyone.
• I found a crawling mili/centi-pede in the bathroom. Not a good way to start the day.

“My kids and I were very happy with this hotel. We travel on vacation every year and this was one of the nicest. The indoor pool and outside courtyard was very clean, and the staff was very friendly when we arrived at 1:00am.”

• Very modern accommodations, including linens, furniture, high speed internet, etc.
• The location! The hotel is right off 91 in the middle of nowhere. Was okay though for my business trip would not be good for a vacation.

“This hotel was more than I expected. Furnishings and linens were new and modern looking, bed was very comfortable. Location was convenient to 91, not good for a traveler without a car as it was a couple miles to restaurants.”

• No electricity during stay, fire alarm went off twice in very early morning.

“An awful stay, no electricity afternoon of arrival and no elevator during entire stay. Fire alarm went off at 5:40 a.m. causing evacuation of entire building and again around 7:00 a.m. after we tried to get back to sleep. Management offered free breakfast that day for what was essentially a worthless stay at the property. they really didn't try to make things right.”

• I did like everything - the only comment I would have is in regards to the air conditioning. It kept turning on and off.

“We only found 1 bar of soap and no shampoo in the bathroom. I feel 2 bars was not too much to ask and also to have a small shampoo for this quality of a hotel. Otherwise everything was great. Breakfast buffet Sunday was superb.”

“I arranged to have my parents check out 1.5 hours late after the usual check out time noon, which was approved by the staff and manager. However, the cleaning staffs still went to the room and my parents had to leave at before noon.”

• It is easilly accessed from highway, not too large and has good distribution of facilities
• We expected a double bed room and got a king size bed in a smoking room ,we asked for non smoking and were moved.
