• Lobby and room were just fine.
• We left somethings in the drawer. Security was very nice but when daughter went to pick it up, was not available, had to go back again.

“We would be pleased if we were put there again. Liked it much better than another St Paul Hotel. It was quiet and the room was attractive.”

• Very clean & much more contemporary than I thought.
• Very rude front desk employee. Some were nice, but one was awful.

“I was very surprised at how nice this hotel was! It was very cool & contemporary inside, which I was not expecting. So clean & very well maintained. I really liked it & would definitely stay here again. Parking was more expensive than I expected at $14/day, but it was convenient. Only draw back was a very rude front desk employee,
other than that I would rate this hotel 3.5 stars!”

• Sort of sleepy, but downtown St, Paul on weekend tends to be that way.

• The room was excellent for the price. Amenities were also excellent and very comfortable.

• Convenient to XCEL Energy Center.
• Housekeeping staff was rude.

“Very convenient through the skyway system to XCel energy center for events. Breakfast Buffet was good. Decent business hotel. Attached food court was really nice, but hours were very limited. Housekeepers were inflexible and rude, kept pounding on door even when I told them I would be leaving in 1 hour.”

• All staff; front desk, valet, waitstaff, and housekeeping were consistently pleasant, engaging and helpful.
• Heating/cooling system was noisy and didn't work well - the room was too warm for my comfort.

• Great room and new T.V.
• No hot tub or sauna at pool, pillows too big.

“Staff was friendly and the dining room served good food. The pool does not have a hot tub or sauna. A necessity it Saint Paul in the winter. Exercise room looked very modern and had a good selection of equipment. Designed for business travelers but good for a weekend trip.”

• Great location, easy parking (even though we paid for it), walking distance to food and shopping and kitchenette in the room was terrific!
• I thought $12 per day for parking was accessive.

“The Hilton Garden Inn St. Paul is just right. The room is very nice - soft linens, nice toiletries, easy chair and desk, nice view of the city. It's not a luxury hotel, but it is really clean and well appointed and feels new.
I would highly recommend it for business or leisure travel.”

• The rooms were very nice and the beds were extremely comfortable.

“The direction to the Hilton Garden Inn was very easy to follow. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient (although expensive). The hotel rooms were very nice and the beds extremely comfortable. The pool area was all right, but there were no steps or pool for small children.

• Both the public spaces and the rooms were very clean and newly decorated.
• Upon check out the customer service representative at the front desk was very rude.

“Great location, very easy to get to and from even with the one way streets. The lobby is very welcoming and well maintained. The room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable - loved the duvet and great pillows! Check in was very efficient and friendly - check out not so much.”

“It is nice, the restaurant had good food. The beds were not comfortable and I wish they would have told me that I had a room with twin beds would have preferred 1 queen or king bed. Otherwise a good experience.”

“The hotel was fine - located downtown St. Paul, MN. We didn't need to be in a specific area of the Twin Cities, so the location was fine. However, we did not anticipate that we would have to pay an extra $12.50 for parking our car. That greatly changes the cost of staying overnight.”

• Very nice accommodations, very quiet, very romantic!
• Small bathroom. We like the sinks on the outside of the bathroom.

“My wife and I worked the weekend at the State Fair and this hotel was very accommodating. We were close to the St. Paul College park and ride and it was very easy to get around St. Paul, even with the streets blocked off for the RNC. Would definitely recommend it to others!”

“This hotel has a great location. 1 block from the Children's Museum and just a few block from the Science Museum, theaters and other downtown attractions. The hotel it's self is clean, room with fridge and a friendly staff. Nice restaurant as well. Only drawback was a small pool and no hot tub. But given the great location this hotel is a great place to stay.”

“The guy posed as a hotel employee and tried to force me to give him $20 to park our vehicle. Luckily, I thought fast & grabbed my hunting knife from the truck counsel and the guy ran off. I was very shaken up. The hotel staff was great, however I do think you need far better security!”

• Difficult to find, I am not used to city driving.

“We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even the custodian and attendant in the parking garage were wonderful. The cookies at the registration desk were a very pleasant surprise. We will be happy to stay here again if we get the opportunity.”

• Bed was extremely comfortable and having a refrigerator and microwave was priceless.
• The bathroom was so cramped you couldn't close the door and use the toilet.

“This hotel is okay. It did not have a continental breakfast and for the price, I expected that. Service was great except for the front desk staff lying about the best rate. The bathrooms are way too small for anyone. The bed was magnificent. The entire wall was single paned glass with no security features - except a wood hand rail, definitely not kid friendly. Loved having the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The pool was entirely too small and not family friendly (all pools should be zero entry).”
