• Location.
• Staff at front desk, delayed remove of the dirty plates and utensils from the hallway.

“I do have complaints about the front desk staff. They are very unfriendly and not helpful at all! One of them seemed to be on personal phone calls every minute.”

• Easy parking access and free.
• The front entry area (outside the hotel) was filthy, elevators disgustingly dirty.

“I have stayed here before several times. This is not a 3.5 star hotel. The Hyatt Regency and Westin Princeton are also 3.5 stars and this is no comparison. Not comparable to the Hyatt or Westin!”

• Pool table and football. Hotel had a nice setup.
• Smelled musty and needed to be cleaned the elevators were very dirty .

“If your looking for an inexpensive safe place to stay it's fine. If you want upscale and clean look somewhere else. They tried to be upscale by giving you bath, body works shampoo but the laundry didn't work and it almost had a deserted feel to the place.”

• Location, health club and
  first floor room.
• No in-room movies, breakfast was average, front desk people were clueless with directions.

“I hope to stay there again the next time I visit Princeton. It is in a great location, minutes from the campus and I liked the health club a lot.”

• The public facilities are phenomenal.

• The staff were extremely helpful, polite, accomodating.
• The room was not properly cleaned or maintained.

“The excellent staff and the terrific breakfast and excercise facility almost make up for the shortcomings in the cleanliness/maintenance issues of the rooms, which we found were dated, had plumbing issues and were not properly/thoroughly cleaned.”

• I loved the atmosphere of the lounge - very friendly for adults and children.
• Front desk staff need to communicate more clearly. We had a lot of confusion over our additional night's stay.

“This hotel was wonderful. Very old fashioned building which was absolutely perfect for my husband and myself and my daughter and nephew. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The lounge area with food service and bar was comfortable and relaxing. There is a pool table and games for the kids (pre-teens) and bar and couches for adults. Very pleasing, calm quiet and comfortable just the way I like it!”

• The staff was very friendly.
• It's old and it looks old. The decor or what decor there was is dated.

“This place is better suited for large groups. Nothing fancy about it. It looked more like an institution or a dorm than a hotel. My room had no hotel information folder so I had no idea where the restaurant was or even if there was one. All I had was breakfast which was ok. It was bare - no flowers anywhere. In fact it looked very empty when I arrived. I wouldn't stay there again but for a group traveling together maybe with a company - it would be ok.”

• Problems with key entry several times.

“Only problem with the hotel was coming back to the hotel late at night only to find out the key to the room was not working again. Not good when you have tired children who have to get up early. Other than that, the place was very nice. Cost of food extremely high.”

• Beautiful campus and facilities along with generally welcoming, helpful staff.
• Room was not the best; air conditioner was extremely loud.

“Great place but expected a better room for the price. In the midst of a huge lacrosse tournament, staff managed to keep things running smoothly and were extremely helpful and friendly (except one person). Staff gave printed directions to tournament, provided box breakfasts at a nominal fee and dealt well with the huge number of teens and preteens (mostly boys!).”

“This hotel is under renovation. Everything is disrupted. The beautiful location and great workout facilities are the only good things. No place to eat except the bar, where the service was terrible.”

• It was very quiet, private, and felt very safe.
• There were no eating establishments near the site.

“The hotel was very nice and clean. The clock in my room didn't work and I had to remind the staff twice to fix it. Also they had forgotten to put towels in the room. The room was very nice, clean, and quiet. I was very happy with my stay.”

• Location and work out facilities.
• My room was dirty and I had to switch rooms.

“Hotel was being painted and having new carpets installed, so everything was messy and not at full speed. My room had beer bottles in the trash, toilet paper on the table, wet towels, an old bar of soap, so I had to switch rooms. The next room was clean, but it looked like the maid did just the minimum. I was very disappointed.”

• No ice buckets, restaurant far away, under construction, tons of teens everywhere.

“Very odd hotel, front desk staff barely acknowledged us, hotel under construction and room smelt of mold. No ice buckets in room, although housekeeping brought us one. There are ice machines but nothing to put the ice in. No glasses in room only 2 cardboard coffee cups. Location fairly remote but there are some restaurants/shops about 5 minutes drive. Hard to find hotel, it is off Rt. one but not well marked (sign is too small/under lighted). Bar was fine, did not find restaurant. Starbucks coffee in lobby was good.”

• Proximity to event we were attending.
• No crib, no service, no access for stroller, next to mechanical room, noisy.

“Absolutely horrible. Over 4 hours to get a crib. Room was next to boiler. Had to change rooms at 11 pm. Stairs everywhere - no access to pool with a stroller unless going through a dirty service way. Didn't give wake-up call. Overcharged for room service-20% room service fee, plus $5 delivery fee, plus $3 gratuity, plus $7.89 for in-room service for a $10 sandwich. They did reduce these charges when I complained but $32 for a $10 sandwich did seem a bit excessive!”

• Nothing much. Some dislikes like does not have internet, continental breakfast, little bit difficult to locate the hotel in the area during night.

• Complete exercise facility, flat screen TVs, comfortable beds, great location.
• Outdoor parking (no garage) had to walk to hotel entrance in inclement weather.

“We have stayed at the hotel twice in the last few months, visiting family. The gals at the desk were very helpful and courteous. The area it is located in is very quiet and off the beaten path, which was great for a good night's sleep.”

• This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I asked for a quite room and was given just that. The pool & hot tub were bigger than usual.
• The pool was far from my room and down a long staircase.

“This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The staff was extremely accommodating. The common space was huge, with lots of places for cozy chats. There were several pool tables, a large screen TV and a fireplace above the lobby desk area- great for bored kids (and adults!). The pool and the hot tub were very large compared to some hotels. The workout area & locker rooms were great too. I heard the Sunday brunch was amazing too (I had other plans so didn't eat there myself) I would highly recommend this hotel!”

“I had a terrible experience on Saturday night someone tried to break into the room, first with a cardkey and then with a wire snake to unlock the security bar; calling the front desk provided no help; it turns out that it is likely that it was the building engineer who did not check to see if the room was occupied.”

• I liked that it was large, open and had a business computer center with free printer.
• The lighting in my room was very dim, no available way to watch movies, not able to access the wireless connection on my laptop.

“It was a friendly, large hotel-it seemed in need of a really good spring cleaning and refreshing. Since it is larger, the dimness and the lack of a "polished" look make it seem uninviting and a little deserted.”

• Great sports facilities and quiet wooded setting.
• The maintenance level at this hotel has dropped to a very low level. It was filthy.

“Desk staff is poor and unmotivated. The rooms are overall nice and well appointed, but after coming to this hotel for 5 years, the place is going to the dogs. Carpets are filthy in the halls; the elevators were really gross, and had filth everywhere. The stairwells had trash, empty drink containers, plumbing parts, and broken furniture strewn everywhere. There was litter and garbage all around and on the tennis courts. The room did not even look like it had a cleaning and needed a vacuum badly. Wyndam has taken this place over and is killing it. The property is very nice, but even the desk staff rolled their eyes and sounded very frustrated, like they were not being listened to by management. This place needs a management shakeup big time. No one is minding the store.”

• Arrived very late, restaurant was closed; exceptionally friendly staff provided milk and cereal at 1:00 AM, no charge.
• Failed to recognize I was staying 2 nights and failed to clean my room until asked.

“Good location with secluded setting. Staff very accommodating. Decor needs some updating but hotel was very clean. Would enjoy staying there again.”

• Hotel is located a few miles off of busy US 1 highway and is quiet.
• No help with bags.

“This hotel is a perfect spot for someone who has to be in Princeton area on business because its location is a few miles off of the busy and noisy US 1 highway. It also features convention services and some recreation (tennis, spa, gym). I've stayed in other Princeton area hotels that cost just as much but don't nearly meet the quality and cleanliness levels of this hotel.”

“This hotel did not quite live up to the billing as a 3 star hotel. Less expensive hotels I have stayed in offer more amenities. The rooms were average and the stairwell, which I use all the time rather than the elevator was very dirty.”

“This hotel was great. The front desk was very helpful when I requested a handicapped accessible room, quickly changing our room assignment. The rooms were nicely appointed and comfortable. The fitness center was excellent but I was unable to access the pool due to it being down one flight of steps. Overall the stay was excellent.”
