“Will not stay again due to the extra cost for the internet. The parking is free is bad enough but no matter what the overnight fee the internet access should be included. Was kicked off several times while using. I need to find another hotel for my upcoming business stays.”

  • No coffee maker in the rooms. Had to pay even for the first coffee of the day. Inadequate gym; long walking distance from self-parking area.

  • Comfortable, nice sized room.
  • They charged for internet use. Also, parking.

“While the location is strange, I found the Hyatt Regency to be an attractive, comfortable, clean hotel. There's an atrium restaurant in the center of the hotel with trees that was very pretty.”

“Fire alarm went off at 6:30 am, staff was very unhelpful in the evacuation procedure and with the announcement of all clear. They seemed ill prepared for the situation. Room was old and tired.”

  • The atrium lobby was spectacular.
  • Room was located farthest from the elevator.

“Great lobby, I arrived late and dinner at the Gazebo was maginal. The mashed potatoes were cold and lumpy, the chicken was just ok. The bed was quite hard. There is one bank of elevators. My room was the absolute furthest from the elevators.”

  • Rooms were too hot and temperature could not be lowered.

“Everything was great! Bed was comfortable and the hotel was very clean. Only complain was even though my thermostat was set to 65, it was 73 in the room. The pillows were also too soft for me.”

  • Located close to my business facility.
  • Although the hotel was nice, the room was worn with torn furniture, horrible view.

“It was apparent that a different service is given to "regular" paying customers. I overheard a couple checking in being offered a choice of a view -- my room looked out onto the roof and all of its mechanics. The walls were dirty all over - the room smelled musty.”

  • Beautiful indoor garden courtyard.
  • $10 to self-park is steep for suburban CT.

“Conveniently located about a mile off of I-95 in Greenwich. Easy check-in and excellent customer service. Room service arrived on time, and was very good. This is an excellent hotel.”

  • The staff was very helpful. I almost got lost and they gave me directions over the phone.
  • I didn't like having to pay for parking.

  • Overall very nice, central atrium with greenery, waterfalls, etc.
  • Breakfast was very good but expensive (buffet $27, entrees $16 - $18). Parking $10.

“Overall a very nice hotel, very pleased. Rooms and common areas very nice. Easy to find, less than a mile off Rt. 95. Self-parking is outdoors, don't think there's a garage. Four-story central atrium with trees and waterfalls; that's where breakfast is served. Breakfast was good but pricey.”

  • Rooms were old and very dusty. One also smelled quite bad.

“Beautiful atrium, but rooms were very old and dusty. Massive dust caused my sinuses to prevent me from sleeping, then I switched rooms and the second room, while a bit less dusty, smelled really bad. Overall atrium is beautiful, but rooms are dated and in need of maintenance. Recommend - avoid.”

  • False fire alarm pulled at 2 in the morning had to leave.

“The hotel is very quiet and secluded. You don't hear people running up and down the hallways. I kind of felt like we were the only customers there. I do think that the hotel should get updated TV's like flat screens in the room. I also think that some new furniture is needed. The rooms are kind of dark. They need to be lightened up a little. We also ran out of face cloths like everyday. Always had to ask for extras. They only give you two a day. We like fresh cloths for our nightly showers. A nice mini bar would be nice too. Staff was always nice.”

“The hotel is one of he best in the area. Rooms are starting to get dated they need to redo soon. No coffee in room you have to march down the hall to the elevator area to get a cup, they use Starbucks so may make up for the walk prior to a shower.”

  • Excellent hotel in a so-so neighborhood.
  • The only elevator was inconveniently located on the opposite end of a long courtyard from our room.

  • I liked how the hotel was very comfortable with a nice pool, with friendly staff.
  • They said there was a crib, but only a Pak and Play. Also the shower did not work so had to take baths.

  • Front desk staff were great!
  • Ignored by bartender, left after 10 minutes of waiting.

“Hotel is beautiful, front desk staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Room was very nice, clean with plenty of room. The one bad experience we had was at the bar. We wanted a drink after our long drive, we sat at the bar for 10 minutes waiting for service, the bartender who could clearly see us was on the computer the entire time. A waiter came by and helped two other women but then left. We finally gave up, had to leave or miss our train into NYC.”

“The beds were very comfortable. The rooms are clean and the hotel is gorgeous outside and in. What a lobby! The only thing that bothered me was the room given to us with a bathroom, that had the shower ceiling fan rotting. The stairs to the rooms on the second floor looked unkept. Other than that, the location is excellent we were in NY in no-time. The staff is excellent and they have Starbucks coffee in the morning at the lobby. I would still recommend this hotel because these details can be repaired. The overall hotel is worth the stay.”

“This is always a great hotel one of the best in the area, but is starting to show age in the bathrooms. The floor of the bath was so smooth I almost fell several times. The feel of the Atrium is still nice to sit in and work.”

  • The Hyatt took good care of our family during several months of caring for an ill family member afar, and then accommodated us well for the funeral.
  • Everything else was outstanding.

“By far the best place to stay in the Stamford-Greenwich area. Beautiful approach, lobby, atrium and restaurant/bar. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful. The staff is pleasant, professional and very accommodating.”

  • The lobby was nice and the location convenient along with the restaurant, bar and salon/spa.
  • The staff. All except one, did measure up to a 4 star level, however the one front desk staff was rude and offensive. Valet did not stack up either.

“I have to go retrieve my car myself twice, while paying $18 a day for valet. After asking for a hairdryer, since it should have been in the room before I arrived, I received the response of "what do you need one for, you don't even have enough hair" and upon check out with the same front desk rep, did not receive a thank you or did you enjoy your stay after he handed me my receipt, however, he did pause his conversation with another staff member to hand it to me and carry on with his conversation.”
