  • The 2 rooms and the spa tub in the master room, the continental breakfast.

“The rooms were very clean, both had flat screen TVs that worked. My husband and I enjoyed the King size bed and spa tub, the children enjoyed having a separate room from us and their own beds. Our children are 14 and 15.”

  • Clean modern rooms, well equipped with sofa bed, mini fridge, microwave and comfort.
  • Parking lot is not customer friendly and the location is tricky to actually get into the parking lot, signs are lacking.

“This hotel was very nice, decorated pretty. One thing I think would of been nice is to have a few benches outside the entryway. We had to wait for people but had nowhere to sit. Standing is difficult. A few benches outside would of been nice.”

  • After traveling all night, they allowed my family and I to check in early.
  • Nothing negative at all.

“The location was perfect, for us. There was hardly any traffic noise (an occasional load motorcycle or car) heard from the highway. And Murrells Inlet traffic was far less busy than down town Myrtle Beach. This was our first time in Myrtle Beach and if we return we will most likely stay at this hotel. Very close to Huntington State Park, which you do have to pay to get into, but the beach was less crowded. Fast food and Sit Down restaurants next to the hotel and a shopping center across the street.”

  • The hotel was quiet and very personable.
  • I added an extra day which caused my door card to stop working until reprogrammed.

“It was a well kept up hotel. You had to drive 20 minutes to get to myrtle beach, however, there was another beach that I had found closer. There were additional areas of dining for business associates and they had an updated news paper everyday. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.”

  • The staff was willing to change my room to a non-smoking room, even though they were not required to do so.
  • No internet access in the rooms. This should be standard in this day and age.

“We have stayed at this hotel before and always find it to be clean, quiet and the staff to be exceptionally friendly and accommodating. My only request would be that they enter the 21st century and install internet access in the rooms.”

  • My room was comfortable. It was better than expected.
  • Locate near two highways. No public bus system. Taxi very expensive, no place to walk. A car is essential.

“The hotel was worth the price paid. Staff was friendly and attempted to locate information for me. My main problem with the hotel is the location. Its miles from anywhere. I went there because of the proximity to the National park and the Brookfield gardens. I thought I could use the public bus only to find out it only travels every 4 hours, if at all. Never did see the bus. I never got to either the garden or to the National park. It is essential to have a car. They even have drive-in pharmacies. Due to the location the hotel did not meet my needs.”

  • It was by far the most comfortable bed I have slept in, in a hotel setting. I loved the bedding.
  • The only complain I had was that I had placed the do not disturb sign on the door before we left for dinner and the maid came in the room anyway.

“I will stay at this hotel again in the future. It was very clean, private, away from the crowds and the room was very nice and the bed was wonderful. Mattress and bedding excellent.”

  • Rude owner say one thing then do another. Get your act together!

“Terrible. Pool was only heated by the little sunlight from the tinted windows. Housekeeping went through my luggage. They didn't speak much English. I was given shaving cream and then was charged full retail price for each bottle! I guess the owner needed another gold bracelet and chain for himself. But you know what they say "If you got it flaunt it." Yeah right. Trust me spend your good hard earned money elsewhere!”

  • The breakfast was great. The room was clean.
  • Staff was rude. The hallways smelled of cat urine.

“The hotel was not bad overall. The staff was kind of rude, even at check-in, and became even ruder when I had a problem. When we went out, I left the "do not disturb" tag on the door. When I came back, not only was my hotel door standing wide open, the room had been cleaned. I spoke to the front desk about it and the housekeeping manager told me that she had been in my room herself and there was no way the door was left open and that it was their policy to clean a room no matter if the "do not disturb" sign was hanging. As you can imagine, I was absolutely outraged. I finally just walked off - there was no reasoning with them.”

  • The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable.
  • Not enough lighting in the bathroom, no overhead light above the shower, and no fan.

“This hotel was very nice and conveniently located to everything. The room was clean and comfortable. It would have been better if the couch were a little bigger, as it is a sleeper that is supposed to be for two but only one of my teenagers fit comfortably. I didn't like that the shower was so dark because there was no light above it. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very helpful and courteous. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.”

“Location is good; 5-10 minutes drive from the Inlet and restaurants and Bars. Right off of Hwy 17. Staff was not friendly when checking in or checking out. Little to no hot water when showering. Room was nice and clean, however the AC was not strong enough for room size; woke up three times throughout the night because it was too hot in the room, the air was on high.”

“This hotel is located on the south end of myrtle beach and was convenient for our needs. Both the rooms and lobby were very clean and well kept. The continental breakfast was well stocked during serving hours.”

  • size of room and pull out sofa comfortable for 2 adults and four children, ages 9,7,5,3
  • heated pool was "ice cold". We were insulted by the manager when after 3 complaints, he said that we must be expecting a Jacuzzi.

“Many positives at this hotel, however one reason we picked this place was that it had a indoor, heated pool. I was bringing 4 grandchildren who would want to play allot in the pool after spending time at the beach. The pool temperature was intolerable. Other guests agreed. I requested three times for a warmer pool and it never was any better. Then I was told by the manager that it was better and he would not listen to me. I did request some compensation and he refunded & 50.00. I was very disappointed with the lack of customer service and the manager's attitude.”

  • There's a quirky little statue in the decor downstairs that's a fun touch.
  • It was confusing to find.

“The Holiday Inn express was good for our purposes. My kids really enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was well done. The cinnamon rolls are very good. I would have liked to spend less money but this was a quality place near my son's campground with the safety and swimming pool features that we were looking for.”

  • The rooms were large and spacious and clean!
  • The bright lights aimed at our back windows in rm #307.

“Thank you for making a special wedding weekend great. There were laundry machines and ironing board as well as a gym and indoor pool. The only mark I have against your particular gym was that when we entered for the first time after checking in. None on the equipment worked.”

  • Nice in terms of location, cleanliness and staff helpfulness.
  • We were stuck in a smoking room with two double beds. Lysol took care of the smell.

  • My family and I really enjoyed the free continental breakfast, which was served from 6:30 - 9:30 a.m. daily.
  • I reserved two rooms. I was a little disappointed that the rooms were not adjoining rooms; they were not even on the same floor.

“Overall, this hotel was wonderful! It was the perfect size. Everything was extremely clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great because it was close to the beach and all the action but not too close.”

  • This hotel was perfect in location. It was close enough to Myrtle beach and also was close to other very nice beaches and restaurants
  • Nobody seemed to know where anything was. We would ask for directions for certain places and nobody knew where things were around town.

“The hotel was very clean, and the people were friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice place to stay. The location of the hotel was great. I would choose this hotel over any beach front hotel anyday.”

  • It was VERY Clean!!!! & most of the staff were pretty Nice People
  • It rained the whole time we were there... ha ha
