• I liked the location and the staff.
• The pool was outdoor and closed at 9 pm firm. The fitness room was a joke it was jammed into a tiny room.

“Great place to stay for a quick in and out. Not a great place to stay and relax you hear alot of noise from the PA turnpike right out back.”

• The bedding was comfortable, soft and clean.
• The mattress was too hard.

“Overall, this is a lovely hotel. The rooms, especially the bathroom are little, but enough for one or two. A family of four might be cramped, but still OK. The bedding was very nice, but the mattress was a bit hard. I slept here just fine, and that's what counts. The hairdryer and tiny coffee pot worked. No fridge in room. TV was fine. I liked this place.”

• Large room, very comfortable bed and great shower.
• Bathroom was a bit small and dated.

“Great place to stop, quiet and comfortable. Excellent layout allows parking close to your room, yet all internal hallways. Very easy access to the toll road and points east and west. I will positively stay here again when in the area.”

• It was quaint and I liked the lounge.
• The bathroom was very small.

“I enjoyed my stay for the most part. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed having a cocktail in the lounge at the end of a long day.”

• I didn't like there was no indoor pool only an outdoor one which we couldn't use in December.

• Friendly helpful staff - everyone - even in offices.
• Nothing.

“Staff greeted us and were happy all shifts. Pool was out of towels more were brought. Beds comfortable, room clean. Hotel solidly built - it is right next to Turnpike but you don't hear it.”

• Free parking, USA Today.
• Old Style decor not really clean and good smelling.

“The pool was outdoors. The hotel is easy to locate off the Turnpike. The room was small and cramped. The bathroom was even smaller with not much sink space for a family of four. Overall it met our needs but I would not return back to it again after staying there.”

• The hotel was clean and easy to access from the highway.
• We asked our room as non-smoking king, When we arrived they had only a king smoking. Neither my wife nor I smoke and the first night was horrible.

“I want to make sure that I get a non-smoking room next time cause someone sure messed up and it was very unpleasant first night there.”

• Falsely claimed to be 3 star hotel.

“The single paper cup provided for the single cup-coffeemaker leaked. The ice maker was broken. The breakfast is over-priced at $10 per person. There is no indoor pool and no hot tub. We stayed at a Courtyard that was 2-1/2 star and had ceramic cups, real glasses for water and a wide screen plasma TV, indoor pool and Jacuzzi.”

• It is in a convenient location and near the turnpike.
• Since it is a 3 star hotel we feel it should offer a continental breakfast.

• The staff was very helpful and friendly.

“I do not think this hotel was a 3-star hotel. It was dated. It smelled musty. The carpet was stained. All in all, it was not up to 3-star standards. I was disappointed.”

• My room was stinking - had plumbing problem, they changed my room on request.
• Allotted room was in basement, corridor smelled of smoke, had plumbing problems, yechhy stuff was bubbling up from the sink.

“This is the second time I have had a bad experience at Holiday Inn. Last time they gave me a smoking room, this time the room was in the basement, smoking section and had a really yechhy plumbing issue.”

“The three star hotel rating was way overrated. I would believe this type of hotel should not get more than two star. The elevators smelled of smoke. The carpeting was dirty. The room was small and the bathroom was even smaller. Good thing was that I promptly got the traveler kit.”

“This was a rather ordinary hotel room. Nothing special just a good, clean room and a comfortable bed. I expected more from a 3 star but not disappointed at all because I only needed a bed for the night and a high speed internet connection.”

• The bathroom had many hairs throughout.

“The hotel misses the mark for anything above 2 stars. They lack the little touches found at competitors - items like Styrofoam cups, only a single bar of soap, no conditioner, charging $3 for the bottle of water in the room all speak to cheapness and no thought for the guests comfort. Statements in the hotel such as "welcome to OUR home" make one feel like an outsider. Just a little better than a motel 6 but at a much higher price.”

“Excellent room for the price. There was a in experienced bartender who over charged for drinks. When going back and saying the price of drinks were high and the bartender stated that he was new and over charged but did not even offer a free drink or to do anything about it. A little disappointing.”

• I liked the cleanliness, ease of finding, staff cheerfulness, and location as staying to pick up son for spring break.
• The only negative was the fan for heat/air was a bit too loud.

“The rooms were comfortable, newly decorated and clean-the hotel was quiet (except for the fan) and the staff very eager to please. I would stay at this location again if visiting Pitt or on business.”

• The staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt very welcomed and they went out of their way for me.
• We were unable to get a handicap room. The bathroom was too small, lotions and soaps insufficient.

“The facility was nice and clean. There was a lot of noise from the turnpike the first night, kept me awake much of the night. The staff was very amenable and changed our room the next night.”

• It was a terrible experience.

“The accommodation was so terrible we were not able to stay. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. No one should be expected to try to stay in a room and floor that smelled as the one at the Holiday Inn. The manager agreed that it really smelled bad but said, "That's the way smoking rooms smell." It is unfortunate that the hotel was so full that they could only assure us that we would be placed in a non-smoking room that first night. Our business involved work all day Friday and Saturday and allowed no time to move from room to room after we were settled. In most circumstances they would have had a non-smoking accommodation, unfortunately they were completely sold out. I was very disappointed in the manager's attitude of it being my problem.”

• Clean Hotel and nice décor.
• Needs a sign by the road.

“The hotel was convenient to the highway and there were a lot of things close by for food and convenience items. The decor was very nice, not so far over the top to be pretentious. I was very surprised to get a Sunday paper, most hotels stop on Friday. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers coming through this area.”
