“I had to pay for parking. Nor did I know there was not going to be any A/C that week. They didn't tell me the fire alarm was going though testing all day long. The room was very dirty. That bathroom floor didn't look like it had been cleaned in months. Rude lady at the desk!” Feb 20, 2009 by
Laura from Newnan , GA
“We were shocked the lady at the desk was acting all put out to help us. Got to find out later she was the manager! The main thing for us was to get out to the beach, a quick change and out we went. The beach was beautiful and clean. When we went back in to change for dinner. That is when we saw the true colors of the room. The bath room floor was so sick, hair and dirt, sand on the beds. Then just a simple thing as an ironing board. We had to call room service twice! It was just a dirt room. I couldn't sleep all night wondering about the things that may be crawling around. We left the next day. We will never go there again!” Dec 9, 2008 by
Christine from Plantation,FL
“This is a great hotel with great rates. I had an ocean view room which looked straight out on the ocean and the broad, sandy beach. The beach was beautiful, I went for an early morning walk and had the place all to myself! Heaven! The room had a fridge, a microwave, an electric flattop warmer and a coffeemaker which is a lot more than I usually find in a comparable hotel room. I had a complimentary newspaper and a complimentary breakfast, both of which I appreciated as I was going straight to a meeting. Nice place, I would definitely stay there again.” Oct 27, 2008 by

“I went to the hotel for a business meeting and was please with the excellent location and friendly staff. The meeting room was comfortable and the free wireless internet is very convenient. My room was clean and big with a huge balcony and a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator. The pool and beach areas are very nice, the restaurant at the pool is convenient and the food is delicious. The included breakfast is a nice treat and has a lot of variety for everybody. I definitely will like to come back with my family for a vacation.

“I work there myself and I m ashamed to say its very true I m in school. I need the cash. I've been working for about a 4 weeks (month) and I make 90 dollars sale and I work from 4pm 11pm no weekends (couldn't be better). I make at least 1000 a week. No lie. (at least 2 sales a day get me this and I get bonuses for full cruise sales). Anyways ask for a mail in of the information or simply say not interested or don't call again and hang up. They will remove you from an automatic dialer system. The system is cheap and petty and I myself plan on Leaving very soon. Well once I destroy the offices Network and Dialer. I been working on it since day 2. S I am the mole. Just know when u get a call from me. Make the call as short as possible unless one of you fools sink in and don't notice my signals to hang up.” Feb 15, 2008 by
Christy from Montgomery, IL
“Great location on the beach. Great complimentary breakfast beyond the usual continental. The employees were super helpful, especially at the concierge desk. The rooms were nice apart from some warping due to the native humidity.” Feb 13, 2008 by
Steve from Anamosa, IA
“We had a fairly positive experience overall. When our flight was delayed twice, we called the hotel both times and alerted them to our new arrival time. Both times we were told ok. Overall, however, very good experience.” Feb 3, 2008 by
Eddie from Redford, MI
“The receptionist was very helpful and very accommodating. Front desk.” Jan 27, 2008 by
Leah K. from Jacksonville, FL
“Seemed to be popular with senior citizens; lobby smelled not unlike a retirement home. A half-hour drive away from metropolitan Miami. Valet parking would take 10-15 minutes to bring your car and personnel went through the belongings in my car - they left compartments open and took toll-booth change.” Jan 22, 2008 by
Vasant from Allentown, PA
“I paid the hotel 110 for parking and resort fees, hotel is economy hotel so should not charge for resort fees 8 per night. Hotel feel like you are staying in senior citizen house, 24 hr senior citizen in lobby. Some time with all oxygen with them and feel like hospital. I do not have anything against senior. I am also 58, but I was on vacation with one year old grandson.” Jan 12, 2008 by
Jim from Orlando, FL
“I was happy with the room and the price I gave for the room, but there were hidden cost I did not agree with. They charged me $8 addition for amenities I did not us ,like the spa, exercise room and pool. I did not have a option of paying although I did not check into the room until late and then immediately went to eat and checked out before 8:30 am. When could I use the amenities they charged me for. I also think $14 a night for parking is way too high. I would not stay in that hotel again.” Nov 19, 2007 by
Karen from Algonquin, IL
“The older hotel motif was beautiful. The rooms although older were clean and well kept. Lobby was beautiful and looked to be from a bygone era of hotels. However there was a mandatory extra charge for use of the pool, exercise equipment etc., even though we got there too late to use any of it. The manager was not overly friendly to us regarding this matter. Also there was an extra charge for use of computers.” Nov 1, 2007 by
Ana from Oregon House, CA
“I would not recommend this for the business traveler. Nice that it has a kitchenette, but not very clean. The fitness facility, so called, resort, closes at 6 so very little chance of enjoying the steam room. The beach was littered. The whole feel of the hotel is very low end, good if you're on a budget vacation as many of the guests from Europe or s. America seemed to be.” Oct 27, 2007 by
Hank from Holiday, FL
“Like many of the older hotels in the area this one needs to be completely redone. Being considered a resort hotel it had hidden costs. The included breakfast was minimal.” Oct 26, 2007 by
Heejun from Chapel Hill, NC
“Too old and humble.” Oct 14, 2007 by
Stanley from East Bridgewater, MA
“My family and I traveled from Boston to Miami on vacation yearly, the Marco Polo made the experience that more enjoyable. We have a 9 and 2 year old boys, the ability to walk them to the pools and the ocean was wonderful. The front desk staff was not very friendly as reported on other reviews (that is true), but who cares. The room was great, the housekeeping department did a great job for us, we stayed 6 nights. Valet parking and our inability not to self park was an inconvenience and became costly. Overall, I would stay there again on future trips. Great, well kept property.” Oct 12, 2007 by
Phil :. from Naples, FL
“This hotel is a nightmare; I would never stay at this hotel again, even if they offered me a free night, week, and month. Parking is horrible, $14.00/day for mandatory valet parking, $8.00/day resort fee (this hotel is by no means close to anything resembling a resort). Room was unsanitary, moldy, hot, dirty, outdated, like a bad scene out of a horror movie. Hallways and common areas of the hotel are depressing, dark and extremely dated, and his whole hotel reeks of must and cheap air freshener. The pool area is dated and un kept, the beach was full of trash and seaweed and the pool bar looks like a run down shed with a few bottles of liquor in it. Please believe the multiple bad reviews of this hotel, again, I would not stay here again even for free. This is my second and last stay at a Ramada hotel; both hotels were in deplorable condition. Stay away, this hotel needs to be demolished, absolutely disgusting, I have stayed in hostiles that were 1000% better than this hotel.” Oct 12, 2007 by
James from Ocala, FL
“Staff was not friendly, in fact rude. Want to charge you a resort fee after explained to you the night before it was removed. The $14.00 valet fee. Charge so much to just park the car at night and bring it back in the morning? Then wants a tip? Was not satisfied. Valet parking should be optional not mandatory.” Sep 8, 2007 by
Mariette
“It was very clean, it was smoke free. My son had Asthma and the room was very clean and he breathes well without coughing. I had a good experience, I would go again.” Aug 27, 2007 by
Alice from Holyoke, MA
“Elegant, great kitchenette; accessibility; overly expensive valet parking; safe; seemed in need of renewal of energy, but architecturally beautiful nonetheless.” Jul 19, 2007 by
Julius from Pensacola, FL
“The hotel is good for a quick trip but not a place that you would want to spend a week. Pets are allowed in the rooms. Staff very quick but efficient. Nothing spectacular as hotel.” May 11, 2007 by
Brandon from Severna Pk. Md
“Nasty hotel staff, had to switch rooms to get something tolerable, furnishings old, half finished repair work, nickel-n-dimmed me with valet and pool fees, multi-cultural mix with very little English spoken. Very noisy in room (adjacent rooms and coming from the dining area on main floor). Beach has lots of litter and is very crowded on weekends. Stayed at many hotels over the years and this one rank at the bottom of the list. Would not recommend. This dump to friends. ” May 4, 2007 by
Michael from Pasadena, MD
“I was very surprised and impressed. I have been to Miami Beach many times and passed this hotel often, but I was surprised at how clean and well run it seemed to be. I would have expected to pay more for this level of hotel than I actually did.” Mar 10, 2007 by
Ed from Cumberland, MD
“My room was dirty and they charged me an $8 "resort fee" and $14 for "parking fee". If I had known about these hidden fees, I would have chosen another hotel. I know that other guests had more attractive room.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 6, 2007 by

“O.k. I must admit that it took 2 room changes before my family and I felt comfortable. Let's just say that we were not going to sleep in the first 2.miami beach has not changed in that it attracts a much older crowd (in this area) but I was surprised to see a lot of families. The pool was wonderful. Large and heated. The location, right on the ocean (and down the block from star bucks!) Could not have been better. I did not experience "rude staff" which almost every motel/hotel in s. Florida cites. My children enjoyed the outdoor ping pong table and the small gym was just fine. And luckily there was no extra charge for this. But there is the 'ole resort fee and $10.00 per day parking fee. While most resorts do charge for parking it was a bit inconvenient having to wait for the valet to retrieve the car. So if you're in and out allot the cost can add up every time you tip the valet. Just because the resort charged for parking I couldn't justify not tipping the valet. An added plus: the resort is 10 mines. From a state park. My husband & I were able to mountain bike and kayak a stone's throw from the beach. This was a wonderful surprise. All and all, I¿d return. Plus there was a pizzeria on the premises!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 27, 2007 by

“The worst experience in my life. I have stayed in several hotels. All kind of hotels and motels, but never in my life I imagined that something like what I found in this room was possible to be found in a hotel in north Miami beach. The first thing I saw when I came in to the room was a roach in what they call kitchen, the shower was full of mold, and there was a broken old couch. And this was the second room they gave me. They also like to charge 8.00 for having a pool (and believe me. I won't put a toe in that pool). Also, I left my dinner in my car while unpacking. When I went to get my pizza, the valet guy only left me one slice. I took pictures of everything because I know my friend won't believe it without proof. If you want to have a good time. Do not ever come to this place. This is a nightmare...” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 24, 2007 by

“Property is a condo for the elderly, hardly could be called a resort. Rooms are outdated, without hot water or heat. Windows do not open, nor do blinds. Rooms are not clean. Property has foul smell. Have had much better experiences at 1 star inns and motels domestically. Similar experiences to lower grade hotels I have stayed at in third world countries. Lowest recommendation.” 2 of 3 people found this review helpful.Feb 18, 2007 by

“I did like the look of the place, there was a strange smell in the air that came from the carpet, but that was in the lobby mostly. Being right on the beach was also a plus.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 17, 2007 by

“This hotel, at least the room I was given was Nasty it looked like an efficacy, the bathroom had stains, there were holes in the walls, the a/c vents had dust the windows raddled and they would not change my room. I knew there must be nice room here. But this was a horrible experience and the staff had no regret. They did not have record of my reservation so they made me go to their "business room" and print my conformation for.” Dec 24, 2006 by
Michael from Vero Beach, FL
“I was not happy having to take cold showers. When I checked out they tried to make me pay an $18 "resort fee" which I was never told about. I refused to pay it.” Nov 15, 2006 by
Amanda from Rockledge, FL
“In an excellent location so good value if you have an ocean view room. Needs updated decor and to be cleaned better.” Nov 12, 2006 by
Ernestine K. from West Palm Beach, FL
“Well , if you want to pay an Extra $8.00 a day for amenities you don¿t use, plus $10.00 for parking, and bad service, the go to Marco Polo, its not worth it,. Wish never to be booked here again.” Sep 7, 2006 by

“I was charged overprice by priceland, the room was horrible, and my baby was sick, and by mistake I took wrong address I try to stay on Miami beach, nor north Miami, I try to switch to another location. I was very uncomfortable, do I check out, when I try to get my money or credit for unused nigh priceland refused to give my credit.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 12, 2006 by

“This is a very interesting hotel in the different kinds of people who stay and use it. Everybody is very friendly and helpful to each other but do not get it your business.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 21, 2006 by

“If you do not mind staying in a motel, this place is for you! It hides behind the name and prices of a resort because it on the beach and in the beautiful Aventura neighborhood, however this place is a dump! The rooms are old and dirty and so are the linens. I had to go to the local market and purchase bleach and Lysol to clean and disinfect the room. The Patios and patio furniture was also dirty. Most of the Ice machines were out or order and the air conditioning did not work. I would never recommend this facade to anyone.” Apr 26, 2006 by

“You get what you pay for. Not as good as most beach resorts in the area, but still the same beautiful beach. Improvements are being made.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Mar 14, 2006 by

“The hotel is set among shopping and restaurants, sits right on the beach. Pool is large, also has a kiddies pool. We had two rooms, one painted nicely the other painted bright orange but clean. Nicely appointed lobby.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 7, 2006 by

“It was not kept clean and the staff was very impersonal. I can't believe they get away with the rate they charge if I was staying more than one night I would have left.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 21, 2006 by

“The hotel is located close to the beach and the Ventura shopping mall and easy to reach by car. Parking is only possible by valet. The rooms are nice but the restaurant is poor.” Feb 20, 2006 by
Cliff from Marion, IL
“There was an additional $8 "resort fee" per day that I was unaware of. The lobby was under renovation (that can't be helped) but the entire rest of the hotel needed it, too. Faded carpet, paint coming off the walls in the room. There were breadcrumbs on the countertop in the room. The shower knobs did not work properly and the water temperature fluctuated to dangerous levels (hot). The breakfast buffets were disgusting because they weren't kept clean.” Feb 11, 2006 by
Jason from Penfield, NY

“Overall a nice hotel in a good location. The lavish complimentary breakfast, kitchenette in room, and heated pool were the highlights of the hotel. However, be prepared to pay for mandatory valet parking and a daily resort fee.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 19, 2005 by

“Value. Two nights, 8th floor, beach view, acceptable room, parking, taxes, etc. We're talking Miami Beach, not Flint, Michigan. Great value.” Jul 25, 2005 by

“The hotel could have been nice 20 years ago. Today it is old and poorly maintained. Too expensive for what you get.” Jul 3, 2005 by

“Ramada hotel is good for people with families because it is in a quiet area, but it is far away from South Beach. All the Vending machines were broken. The free Brekfast food and restaurant staff were terrible. Hotel has a huge overhead in staff and it seems like a lot of services were useless, for example the singer in the swimming pool. Too much staff hanging around without use. I will hardly rate it as a 2 star hotel!” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.
