“Valet took 15 minutes on average to get a car (26$ a night). 3 elevators - 2 for guests, 1 for employees, employee one and one guest elevator were not working and staff was using last one, so guests were waiting 30 minutes for elevator or using stairs. Room faced construction which starts at 7 AM. At the pool sign said 2 towels per person, towels were in plastic bag and guy who gave em did not speak English at all and would not give more than 1 towel beach chairs are 10$ etc. Not the best experience overall.”

- Close to the beach, nice pool and friendly staff.
- Elevators were very dirty for 2 days straight.
“Very nice hotel and in a nice location off the strip of South Beach. There is a beautiful beach a short walk from the pool and a nice view from the room. All in all it was a nice hotel except for the fact that there was a huge, I am talking a hundred if not more international teens there and that made the pool and the elevators a bit chaotic. The only real negative thing about the hotel I have to say is that the elevators were filthy dirty, as if no one had vacuumed them in days, but I guess it was probably because of the amount of kids running around, but it still should have been noticed by staff and cleaned up. Its not the most beautiful or modern in south beach but good for the money.”

- Much better and on an upswing.
- Rooms are a bit small. Elevators slow. Need to avoid valet parking.
“Very comfy and much better. Great restaurant. Hotel right on the beach. Good pool, boardwalk, tiki bar fitness center pretty good. Avoid the valet parking and use the garage across the street in front and mention you are a guest. I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are small though and the elevators are slow but are scheduled for repair. I think the chains trying to restore this hotel to a high standard. Enjoyed it!”

- They hotel had good looking male guest.
- It was far from Ocean Drive and South Beach. It's about 3 miles away from all the night life.
“The hotel was gorgeous inside and out. We fit five girls in one room. It was comfortable and spacious compared to other hotels that on South Beach. We enjoyed the gorgeous looking hotel guests. Parking cost more than the other hotels and the location is about 3 miles away from night life.”

- Dirtiness of room, room is in desperate need of updating. Things falling apart.
“The hotel staff was great and upgraded my room because of my status with Star wood. Everything in my room appeared to be from the 80s. The vents were falling out of the ceiling and contained much rust, the bathroom sink did not drain well, the floors were old and worn out. In the morning I realized there were many long black hairs in the tub/shower and on the shower curtain.”

- They need to hire someone to clean up around pool, common areas.
“Room was somewhat clean but old. Common areas (especially around the pool/grounds was littered and messy. Hot tub was full of chemicals and too strong to sit in. Loved being so close to the beach. I thought the staff was friendlier than expected. Over all it was a good experience.”

- Elevators didn't work, one person got stuck for 15 minutes. Fitness center felt unsafe and only one of the machines worked.
“I was not happy because of the elevators not working and the fitness center not properly equipped. For a three star hotel I would expect more. The bathroom was not clean and the cable kept going out.”

- Too much construction nearby, no close restaurants.
“Has the appearance of being a very good hotel at one time, no old and needs remodeling. Elevators, TV signal quality and remote operation just awful. Called housekeeping to replace remote - after the 4th remote - we found one that worked intermittently! No or few services within walking distance - stores, restaurants, etc. Parking situation is bad. Nearby construction of hotels/roads may bode well for the future, but now just adds noise and congestion.”

- The hotel lobby, facilities, pool, restaurant were very nice. The breakfast buffet was pretty good with a variety of breakfast items.
- I did not like the room at all. It had a musty smell that indicates the hotel is older with the stucco walls and ceiling.
“If you don't mind musty rooms, then you will like this hotel, the bed was comfy and the hotel itself had a nice lobby, facilities, pool area and restaurant with good food.”

“This hotel is really a very old 1950 hotel that has been given a quick face-lift by 4 points. The water pressure was horrid, the A/C barely worked, the vending facilities were broken (ice), and the staffs were completely ignorant about the Miami Beach area. Definitely not a 4 star hotel and not up to Sheraton's standards.”

- Lack of parking available. Vending machines not working.
“The view was awesome and compensated for the elevators that took forever to come. Also there is no parking available other then valet which cost $19 a day a bit steep for parking. I did enjoy the complimentary coffee in the morning it was delcious. It would have been nice to have the vending machines working so the kids could have some snacks. The hotel doesn't really have any nearby restaurants within walking distance and is surrounded with construction at neighboring hotels.”

- Dirty shower, hallway, room and elevators.
“When we booked this hotel it was rated as 3 stars. However, when we arrived after a long cruise our room was not ready, and when we sat waiting for our room, they pushed the time back again and again. In the end we stayed in the lobby for two and a half hours. When we finally got to our room, it was dirty in the shower, in the hallways, in the elevator, and everywhere else I looked. We were very unhappy with this hotel...except for the lobby. Maybe we should have stayed in the lobby!”

“The first room I was given was disgusting. My window view of that room was a filthy roof top filled with green water and trash. The ocean view room I upgraded was nice my only complaint was the freezing A/C, I finally had to get up & stuff the A/C opening with paper since we still needed air because of the weather. I would never stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.”

“This hotel, and hotel room, was much more than I expected. I knew it would have a great location (right on the beach), but the hotel room itself was perfect! We got a king sized bed, couch and mini-fridge. Also, our room overlooked the pool and the ocean, which we could see from our enormous patio. The hotel itself was clean and more upscale than I thought it would be a for three-star hotel. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in the Miami Beach area!”

- Very pleasant, great beach access, difficult parking.
- Expensive valet parking mandatory.

- It was on the beach.
- Not well located, very poor parking situation.
“The hotel is poorly located, it takes you 30 minutes to get your car from valet, and they charge $18 a day for it. The hotel isn't clean, the rooms are missing the specific amenities that the hotel promises in every room, everything from 'In room safes' to 'Complimentary bottled water'. Just a very poor hotel and not very well run.”
