• Great hotel entrance and great parking for handicap.
• They did not vacuum and replace plastic in ice buckets and did not put and napkins in the room, no plastic cups 2 cardboard cups for coffee.

“I loved the location but think they could put plastic fork knife and spoon and Scott towels they rug had a spot in front of couch and if was there when we left.”

• Excellent location to Sanibel Island bridge/toll. Front desk provided maps of the area.
• The smell outside of dead fish, smell of bedding was too flowery/scented heavily.

“Excellent location to Sanibel Island. Nice grounds. Convenient side entrance to parking lot. Nearby restaurants/stores or food delivery. Worth it to stay on Priceline.”

• Not only the hotel room was clean, but the hotel over all was clean and decorated nicely.

“Enjoyed staying at this hotel, location was great to any section of Ft. Myers, especially Sanibel Island and Pine Island. Close to shopping, restaurants. The interior and exterior of this hotel was very clean. Complimentary breakfast was great. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful they printed out driving directions from Ft. Myers to Orlando.”

• Great location, quick efficient check-in, and comfortable room.
• Bathroom could use some upgrading.

“Provides what is expected for value and comfort - comfortable standard room, efficient check-in from friendly staff, convenient breakfast in a great location minutes from the bridge to Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach. Bathroom could use an upgrade, but was clean with plenty of towels.”

• Location was close to shopping and the beaches. Hotel staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great.
• The breakfast room was being renovated and no bathroom storage.

“The Country Inn & Suites Sanibel Gateway was very nice. It appeared to be rather new and in great condition. Hotel staff members were very friendly and helpful. They offered fresh baked cookies every day and the continental breakfast was better than most. We chose this hotel because it was closest to Sanibel Island and Captiva. It was perfect!”

• The hotel was priced right & was convenient to a resort where I was attending a wedding.
• The Target Job fair lines out the front door & in the way in the breakfast area.

“Good hotel, noisy family next to us, but that's not the hotel's fault. The Target Job Fair was a definite turn off, the lines out the front door when we arrived, the extra people in the breakfast room and the lack of parking for hotel patrons wasn't a good thing.”

• Comfortable atmosphere and availability of food and drinks around the clock.
• Mattress was not comfortable.

“The front entry was inviting. They had freshly baked cookies available in the lobby and the breakfast was ample for our needs. The room was fairly spacious, but the mattress was uncomfortable.”

• Great location for beaches, shopping and dining. Staff was excellent!
• You need a car because there is not much within walking distance.

“We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. Very comfortable friendly staff, clean hotel and beautiful landscape and pool. We stayed on the 2nd floor which was nice because we didn't have to wait for the elevator each time. We love the bed and breakfast feel.”

• The entire experience was great! I enjoyed my anniversary & that says it all!
• The shower head was not to my liking.

“Overall, the hotel was wonderful! The staff, though not completely on cue, was very polite & helpful. The room was great, except for the showerhead. I would stay there again & recommend it to others. Thanks!”

“We had a problem with the hotel telling us that we were not pre-paid. The employee cleared up the entire situation. Did not appreciate the customer service provided by the hotel.”

• Parking convenient to entrance and hotel location while near the highway, was very quiet.

• It made us feel at home, relaxed.
• If you don't like people and want to be alone, this is not the place to go.

“We felt like we were visiting in someone's home. The lobby was so beautiful and cozy with the fireplace that people sat in there and we talked like we were old friends. There was such a welcoming atmosphere when we first entered and it was a feeling that stayed. The breakfasts were wonderful.”

• A/c not very cold; limit on total volume on TV, hard to hear.

“This was a great hotel with an excellent free breakfast service. The pool is nice; you're very close to beaches, restaurants and the "island"; probably less expensive as we're outside the island so there's a $6 toll every time you go to the island.. but savings in the hotel is worth it.”

• This hotel was nice & clean for the price. Breakfast was a plus.
• Other guest had dogs that were left in the rooms alone.. Barked until midnight.

• The hotel was very convenient to Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach, very nice and pretty hotel
• We liked and enjoyed everything about our stay.

“New hotel, very friendly staff, very clean rooms, nice breakfast, pretty pool, located very close to the Sanibel causeway and Fort Myers Beach. Rooms were large enough, two beds, table and nice chair to sit in. Bathroom was large and clean. Very quiet which surprised us, it has a retirement community behind it and is not too close to a shopping center or other hotels.”

• Quiet, very clean, 24 hr coffee and hot beverages in lobby.
• Malfunction of magnetic key to pool area . Problem resolved within a couple of hours.

“Very clean, quiet, and within walking distance to shopping outlet mall. Nearby to Ft. Myers center of town. Enjoyed our stay and recommended it to our nephew and his wife, sister and brother in law. Hope to return soon.”

• The location was perfect for our plans.
• Staff was UNABLE to answer questions about charges on my credit card

“The hotel in general was satisfactory. However, the fact that the staff was unable and unwilling to answer my question about credit card charges was very disheartening. Unfortunately, the problem I had with the important topic of charges put a dark cloud over my overall experience.”
