  • The lobby was the best thing about it, but it was not great.
  • The interior was ragged and rooms incredibly austere and unattractive.

“ I found this hotel to be quite disappointing! The website clearly paints a picture of a much better kept property. This hotel was severely worn and dated in it's decor. It gave the appearance of being cheap and sleazy, especially the rooms. I would never recommend this property to anyone for any reason.

  • Great location, great staff, good value for the money.
  • A little noisy from being so close to the airport, but is well insulated.

“I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is not a 5 star hotel, but everything was great. It is so close to the airport, I walked! They have a nice free shuttle, too, that I used on the way back.”

  • Check in was wonderful for the long lines due to cancellation.
  • Carpet, decor, freeway noise (tower room), bathrooms were not clean.

“It was very charming and quiet. Nice comforatble bed and really good breakfast in the lobby restaurant. The staff was very helpful getting me to and from the city with directions on how to use public transport. I loved the free shuttle from LGA.”

  • The staff was completely professional and very help giving directions to the places I needed to go.
  • The toilet clogged, the tub faucet leaked, and the sink was held together with clamps.

“The hotel was just what I expected. It was inexpensive. The room was clean but need some fixing. Mainly the toilet and the bathtub faucet. overall it was a decent place to stay.”

  • I did not like the fact that I had to pay an extra $18 for parking. The hotel room was extremely small and not worth the price.

“This hotel room was in a very unsafe location. The room that I stayed in was extremely small and the hotel was unattractive and old. The attendant the next morning asked me to pay $18 for parking, even though it was their own parking lot and the hotel wasn't even in proper New York City.”

“I stayed at this hotel with my sister and the room was less than stellar. Room was very small; walls were grimy and kept in good condition. The toilet ended up clogging on us in the early morning and we had requested additional pillows and it never showed up. This hotel did not meet my expectations. Will not stay there again.”

  • Beware using hotel limo service - undisclosed charge.

“This hotel's name says it all - it's a place to stay that is very convenient to La Guardia airport, but poorly placed for most other purposes. Staff was very helpful to out-of-towners seeking to navigate NYC's mass transit, and provided excellent service to and from the airport. Housekeeping staff was a little slow but competent and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, but not fully equipped. Only black mark: We called for a cab, and instead got a hotel limo with undisclosed and inappropriately high charges.”

“There is a reason that Wyndham (no great shakes on quality to begin with) dropped their name from this place. It is worn out, needs a complete rehab, and needs it fast. There is really no excuse for stains on the wall, is there?”

“Upon check in the front desk clerk talked on the phone the entire time she was checking us in. It seems as if she was on a personal call. There was a dirty tray in the hallway the day we checked in, it was still there the day we checked out. Which was a real eyesore since it was the first room you see when you get off of the elevator.”

  • Easy access to airport, shear stadium, and fiends in queens.
  • Shower water pressure was not strong. $18 per day parking fee.

“With easy access for travelers from new England, the Wenham is located minutes from LaGuardia airport, shear stadium, and locations in queens. Easy on/off highways to Manhattan also. The hotel has a personable and professional staff. My room was clean and spacious. Even though it was new year's weekend, the hotel and my room were quiet.”

“Nice place to stay if you are a tourist, just looking for a place to crash after walking around Manhattan all day. They do have a small restaurant and bar, and the food was pretty good. The staff was great. I was a little scared by the other comments, but was pleasantly surprised. I recommend it for a safe sleep facility.”

  • The staff was unorganized, unfriendly and not at all helpful, and the room smelled of mildew and old cheese.

“My reservation was misplaced by one of their incompetent workers, and I had to pay for 1 extra night even though I told them that I had my reservation on email. So when I printed my confirmation, they had to refund me for the 2 nights that were not even necessary to charge in the first place would they have listened to me. I will not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Terrible service. A shame to all Wyndham hotels.”

  • The lobby was nice. It didn¿t smell as bad as the second floor where our room was.
  • Stained carpets, bad smells, rooms hot as saunas, opening windows since a/c didn¿t work. Hotel rooms out of the 60's.

“It was a terrible stay for my family and me. The rooms look like they haven¿t been updated in decades. The hallways smelled like curry or Asian food. Stains all over the carpet that looked like feces stains. When I called the desk about the a/c not working they told me that the heat stays on till 4/18 because they are on a budget and that if you want cooler air to "open a window". Of course by doing this the noise from the freeway and the airport is unbearable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They promote themselves as a 2.5 stars but I would rate this dive of a hotel as a 1 star and that¿s being very generous.”

  • Room was dingy. Torn wallpaper, broken tile in bathroom. Lobby was nice though and friendly staff. Room was quiet which was most important.
