• Breakfast included. And not just continental. Eggs, sausage, yogurt, etc. Beats some breakfasts at B&Bs.
• Fitness room was badly maintained.

“Overall what you'd expect from this chain. Fitness room was only real complaint. Badly maintained, and the treadmill was possibly dangerous. Breakfast was nice, and saved some money as we were full enough to skip lunch.”

• The front desk staff was very accommodating even when very busy.
• Getting in off the interstate you had to make a u-turn from the direction we were coming. Very dangerous.

• It was fine.
• No shower chair in handicapped room.

“The hotel was just right, no complaints--ample accommodations. We got a wheelchair accessible room, but no shower chair in the shower or anywhere in the hotel. How can an established hotel chain of many years doesn't find a shower chair essential to an older or disabled guest?.”

• They were very accommodating with early check in and wonderful breakfast.
• No pool or spa.

“This is an excellent routine hotel. Nice rooms, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, but not a travel destination. Only a place to stay.”

• Great location, accommodating and caring staff, very convenient parking.
• Forgot to leave coffee in the room once, but front desk clerk remedied. No pool or exercise facilities.

“Rooms are quiet and spacious with little extras (like little bottles of lotion and mouthwash in the bathroom). Staff is efficient and takes the time to make you feel at home and appreciated as a guest. Parking is incredibly convenient and nearby access to restaurants, gas stations, the expressway and even a shopping mall made the stay even more enjoyable.”

• They had a very nice continental breakfast.
• We only got one bed for my husband, four year old and myself to share. We also had to make room for our infant in the portable crib we brought.

• Free wireless internet.
• Horrible TV.

“The hotel was in a nice location and was clean, however when I got in the room there was a roll away bed in the doorway. Not sure why. In the morning we noticed that there were not any towels in the bathroom so we called the front desk and they said they didn't have any towels either. So we were told to walk around in the hallway, find a cleaning person and ask them. The first person we found had no towels so I went to another floor and finally found some. I just thought that was a little tacky on the front desk's part. I am not the type of person who complains but I thought this should be brought to your attention. Thank you.”

• The room was large and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
• It is sometimes difficult to pull onto North Avenue because of the traffic.

“I found this hotel to be clean and well run. The breakfast offered was more than ample and very good. The staff was friendly and always ready to help. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Fiberglass insulations was exposed under restroom sink.

• The cinnamon rolls and continental breakfast in general.
• Bathroom too small with light & fan on one switch.

“The stay was quite satisfactory and I like that they now deliver daily, even on the weekend, the Milwaukee journal sentinel.”

• They tried to correct problems quickly.
• My first room had not been cleaned at check-in.

“I had a late check-in. However, the room had not been fully cleaned. The second room was cleaner. Electrical outlets are hard to access; as a business traveler, I need to get my hardware plugged in and get to work quickly. Internet access is handy, though.”

• The location in respect to the place I was visiting that weekend.
• We were given a smoking room ,when we were both non smokers.

“I certainly would have not paid the price that I overheard the front desk quoting guests. I was also disappointed that we were given a smoking room. Although I can't prove it, it is my opinion that the woman at the front desk gave us this room because we had gotten such a good rate. Again, that is just my opinion Overall I would do it again.”

• Great location, outstanding free breakfast with variety, clean large room, friendly people, what more can I say...great!
• Nothing! I am planning to write to the hotel and tell them how great it is.

“As seniors, they accommodated us on the first floor. Parking was convenient, the hotel clean, the staff friendly. And the free breakfast the best we've ever had in our travels. Free local calls was another plus. Our stay at this Holiday Inn Express was the best part of our month-long trip. I've run out of acclamation! Thanks for our stay!”

• Breakfast Bar was open until 10am. Very close to the mail expressway.
• Desk clerk not very helpful, check in, or information about local attractions/parking/public transportation.

“Great for 2 stars! Met expectations. Let the management know that the local Baseball stadium has been Miller Park for several years and County Stadium no longer exists. (We were in town for a festival and a baseball game).”

• The bathroom was huge. Lots of counter space.
• Elevator was a little slow.

“This hotel is about a fifteen minute drive from downtown Milwaukee. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was excellent, roomy, big bathroom, really good lighting and plenty of it which is a rarity in many hotels.”
