  • Allowed pets and breakfast choice.
  • Loud bar area with an arrest being made. Had to be reminded to clean room.

“The cleanliness was less than acceptable. The hotel is very ran down and needs some major updating. The front desk was very helpful. One night we were enjoying the pool area with another family and ordered pizza all of a sudden the custodian kicks us out and says no food. However we had been there for hours beforehand with snacks and stuff! Just very rude! I had to call and ask for our room to be cleaned and was told everyone lest so they could only replenish.”

  • Lobby was nice.
  • Sleep number beds are not good ,we stayed up most of the night.

“Girl at check-in was sorting papers on the counter and was annoyed with me checking in. Halls were not clean and worn out. Restaurant hostess was more interested in her phone call than the customer. Food was good, portions were more than adequate. Lounge was nice. I am a business owner and I understand employee problems, You have some!”

  • The desk staff was friendly.
  • The room, bathroom, and gym were tiny and old!

“I would have been fine with this hotel. It is a 2 star hotel at best. The food was cafeteria quality, the staff was great. The "gym" was horrid and I was unable to run on the old, wobbly treadmills stuck in a 10X10 room right off the pool with no ventilation. The location is convenient to the highway, there is no place to walk from the hotel, it is load and very old. There is one small elevator and the stairs are in need of refurbishing.”

  • Beautiful riverside restaurant with good breakfasts.
  • Except for lobby and restaurant, other public spaces were dirty and trash-strewn.

“We stayed here 5 nights, but would've gone elsewhere if we would not have lost our prepayment. We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and enjoyed it, but the quality of housekeeping has sharply declined since then. We found litter on the floor of the room when we checked in (including a pair of men's briefs under the bed and a computer floppy disk under the desk chair), so the room obviously was not being vacuumed. One day the housekeeping staff skipped our room entirely, and we had to make 3 follow-up requests for them to come. They brought no clean glasses, so the desk clerk told us to go to the restaurant for clean ones and to put our dirty glasses outside the door. (Those weren't picked up for 2 days.)”

  • Woman at front desk was nice when we checked in.
  • Woman who was there when we checked out didn't care our experience was bad, bad food, musty room, pubic hair in room, dirty pool, definitely not a 3star.

“The worst part about the hotel was the food, it was late, was not good, it made us sick, not to mention poorly managed, wait staff was not friendly, room was musty but they switched our room, there were pubic hair in the second room- we had to clean it. Pool and hot tub was very dirty, elevators were down, hallway and entry ways were very dirty. the only redeeming factor of this hotel was the pleasant. Woman who checked us in she was nice and tried to help us. We had more problems after she left. Then I tried to explain some of the challenges we had to the woman who checked us out and she didn't seem to care , we felt blown off by her , she made no attempt to address or help us with our problems and walked away.”

  • Convienent location just off US 131.
  • Shower drain slow, ice machine on floor broken, stairway lighting very dim, hallways not cleaned frequently

“Rooms have the necessities needed, sleep number beds in rooms are a plus. Location is convenient, right of US 131 just north of downtown. Star rating was slightly overstated....nothing spectacular about the place.”

  • Easy to get to from the freeway
  • Area around the hotel was somewhat depressed

“It was very busy at the time of my visit. The elevators were always busy and somewhat slow. The room was smaller than expected but clean and in good repair. The bed was a sleep number bed with controls but no instructions. With some guesswork it worked well and was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and, for the price, I would repeat.”

  • Easy access to the highway.
  • Overall a dirty and disgusting hotel. Mold in the bathroom and tub was black with dirt.

“This hotel was clean and comfortable, but I wasn't thrilled with the sleep number bed. The lobby is very nice, hotel staff was very pleasant and they have a restaurant with an outdoor deck that had music on Friday night.”

  • Great lounge, nice pool and workout room. Clean rooms with comfortable beds.
  • Was not as close to downtown Grand Rapids as I would have liked.

“We were there on a 1-night getaway, and it was very nice. Had everything we wanted - restaurant, lounge, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, workout room. Staff was very friendly, as we asked them several questions throughout our stay. Rooms were nice.”

  • Staff was friendly, and was very pleasant during check-in.
  • Hotel is outdated even though rooms have been redone. Location is also not downtown. Can not walk to downtown district.

  • The dining room was very nice and pool also.
  • We were expecting a refrigerator and it was not in our room.

“We liked the hotel except for the fact that we were left with the assumption that every room had a refrigerator. The staff was very accommodating when we found a dirty comforter, mold in the tub and a broken sleep number bed.”

“For business travelers, its a medium level property. For anyone else, the location is poor; its a rough, industrial neighborhood. It overlooks the river, but there are no features to allow you to enjoy it, it seemed more like it was overlooking a swamp. OVERRATED!”

“Hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous at all times. They are the best thing about the hotel. Hotel is located about 2.5 miles north of downtown, so walking to venues takes some time. For leisure travelers like myself, this hotel really was not suited for my liking. I do, however, think this hotel is a great stay for business travelers.”

  • The staff was incredible! They went above and beyond at each and every step.
  • The glasses in the bathroom were dirty, and the door hanger menu for room-service breakfast that was on the bed was crumpled and dirty.

“Even with a couple minor setbacks in the room, I was overall impressed with this hotel. The crowning aspect was the incredible staff! The bartenders were very friendly even though we came in 15 minutes before closing, and the young lady at the front desk, I have to say, was the best employee of any company that I have ever dealt with. Very friendly and super helpful.”

“This is a 2-star hotel experience. From the tiny room, to the restaurant that felt like a geriatric center and the lounge that featured the styling of an awful cover band, you're in for a real treat. Enjoy.”

“When we checked in, our room was filthy. The bed had been made but the used towels were crumpled all over the floor and there was urine on the toilet seat. We were then placed in another room that was quite dingy. There was mildew in the shower and the bathroom cleanliness was less than ideal. We had a very poor night's sleep as the snow plow had been burning tires since 4:30 a.m.”

  • Poor water pressure, no breakfast offered, pool needed to be cleaned.

“Easy check-in and check-out. Was shocked to not have even a small complimentary continental breakfast offered! The pool needed to be cleaned. Bathrooms had poor water pressure, no exhaust fan and some dark stuff in corners of shower stall. As far as I am concerned, the staff was friendly and helpful but the hotel itself was not a three star hotel.”

  • The staff working on August 17 was excellent. Room service was great!
  • The woman working the desk on August 18 was very rude!! Very loud on august 18!

  • The pool.
  • Room was not cleaned two out of the three days we stayed, was expecting select comfort beds. Got cheap economy mattresses.

“I was expecting much higher comfort and service from a Radisson (a name which I always thought expressed comfort and attention). The restaurant (The Landing) put on a great Face/Act but failed in delivering dishes worthy of the price.”

  • The bathroom could be updated, but the room was excellent.

  • They came and sprayed the room with refreshers rather quickly when we requested it.
  • It was not a 3.5 star rating. The carpet was very dirty, worn that your sandals stuck. The room was small, smelled musty, Smokey and stuffy.

“I have always been very pleased with 3 or higher star hotels. This one fell very short. It needs some work and cleaning. I would not stay again and now am wondering how it got that rating...maybe because it was the only one in that area, maybe? It had a strange odor. They came and sprayed but it did not help after awhile. We thought of requesting another room but did not. I wish that we had now; we just did not want to make more work for them.”

  • The maid we're wonderful, the front girl on Saturday was the best of them all.
  • The supervisor short changed me money, and they didn't provide coupons for breakfast.

“I will not stay there again, the staff for the most part was rude, and a supervisor short changed me money. My car got hit in the parking lot. The 2 start hotel that I stayed at in Marion, Indiana. Was much better then this place.”
