“The hotel surpassed our expectations. The location was great. Room service was on time and convenient. Accomodations had been updated, however, it is an older hotel, but very well maintained. Overall, It was GREAT.”

“The room I got looked like it was from the 60s. it was shabby and somewhat dirty. The door did not feel like it locked right and even with the safety latch I felt a bit unsafe. The lobby looked okay but it was not any reflection of the room.”

“Entire hotel other than lobby is in dire neeed of upgrading. Hallways to rooms are not well lighted and dirty. Bathrooms have 1970's tile and fixtures. Rooms are dirty. Sheets on the beds had hair on them. No way this is a 3-star hotel as advertised on Priceline's bidding system.”

• Clean, Large Rooms, Friendly and Professional Staff.
• Double Beds Rather than Queen Beds

“The hotel rooms were generally clean and everything worked. The rooms were large and thus helpful travelling with a large family. We booked three rooms and were able to request connecting rooms for two, and a change from king beds to two double beds in each room. Staff were able to quickly bring a refrigerator to the room for storage of medication. All in all a very positive experience from this hotel.”

• I loved the spacious rooms as well as the location.
• The carpets need to be updated as they were quite stained.

• Good location, good pool.
• Rooms in need of major renovation.

“This hotel is near the Galleria mall, close to the airport and highways in Buffalo. The pool is deep, which is a plus. However, the rooms are in need of a major reno, beds were squeaky, and not really comfortable, and the walls and bathroom were very 80s.”

• Location. Lobby area was nicely done.
• Unclean room, cheap furnishings, chipped bath, moldy bath and carpet, and paint were peeling out.

“Would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were small and had a very cheap feel to them in terms of unfinished walls, low hanging ceiling, spotted carpet, chipped bath, hairs and grime in corners, could not use the elevator because of smell. The restaurants and the lobby area looked nice though.”

• Location is just off I-90.
• The place is very worn and not very clean.

“I am sure that at one time this was a nice place. First of all, the area around it is a somewhat run down mall. The hotel reflects the same status. It has seen a lot of guests and is in serious need of a renovation.”

• Room was clean, nicely designed and staff was friendly.
• Unattractive common areas and hallways.

“I was unimpressed by the exterior and common areas of the hotel. The room however, was a pleasant surprise. It was comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean. Bathroom was on the small side, but that was not a huge issue for myself. I thought the hotel needed better lighting and some redecorating of the common areas, especially the pool area which was really interesting architecturally.”

• Helpful and friendly staff.
• Needs remodel badly and room was very noisy.

“While the staff and the location were good the hotel badly needs to be updated. The room I was in was over the pool/atrium and it was very loud. I was awoken at 1:30 a.m. by a group of men talking in the atrium one night and the second night at 2:30 a.m. when my neighbor turned on the TV. I could easily make out both the conversation and dialogue from the set.”

• The location and proximity to malls, shopping, and airport.
• The furniture in the room was dirty and old. Bathroom had no fan and was dated.

“Although I am overall pleased with my stay, as I received a great price, I would have to disagree that this hotel is a 3*. The room was very basic, and had dirty furniture and old, scratched woodwork. The walls were very thin and could hear TV's in the room next door. The bathroom was too basic and had no exhaust fan. Also, the TV was probably 15 years old and small. I know other 2 1/2 * chains that offer nicer, cleaner and more welcoming rooms.”

“Overall, somewhat disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The rooms are no better then any other average hotel - in fact the facitilies are in need of renovations - especially the bathroom in our room.

• It was right beside Walden mall and close to the airport.
• The towels were the crunchiest I've ever had.

“Excellent location, clean, walked through the pool and had we stayed longer, would have used it for sure. Staff was friendly. Room was clean, bathroom was spotless. Towels were like sandpaper.”

• Hallways and doors need some upgrading.

• The public areas were very attractive and well maintained. The pool was the best aspect of the hotel.
• The rooms could have been a little nicer.

“The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. I had no problems at all when I requested a room change, and the hotel staff was very accommodating. There was a nice ambience in public areas, and everything was very clean and well decorated. The pool area is the best part of the hotel. I expected nicer furniture and linens in the room, as well as decor. I was located on the first floor, and although it was convenient to have a door that led directly to the parking lot, it was also very drafty in the middle of winter. I had to place towels by the foot of the door to keep the cold at bay.”

“The hotel overall was fine for a last minute, inexpensive stay near the airport. The lobby looks just fine. The room itself needs updating. There were a few things in need of repair but the room was relatively clean.”

• Great .
• It is the worst 3 star hotel we have stayed in, ever.

“The hotel location was very good (right next to Walden Galleria Mall). Parking for the airport with a free shuttle was very handy; but, this hotel is nowhere near a 3 star.
By far, the worst 3 star hotel I have ever stayed in; and, I have stayed in a whole lot of 3 star hotels.”

• I liked the balcony of the room to the courtyard.
• Service in the Walden Restaurant was a little slow.

“The hotel was very convenient and the staff was friendly. The entire hotel is non smoking!! Which is great? It was nice to open the balcony door and relax with a beer overlooking the pool and courtyard. The room size was quite large and everything was spotless.

• Nice decor, pool, and location.
• AC unit was broken, made wierd noises and couldn't sleep.

“My AC unit was busted and making weird noises, this prevented me from sleeping well, and as I had to be up at 4:30am provided a poor start to my vacation.”

“This is a very good hotel with a great location. Superior shuttle service. Across street from great dining and shopping and less than 10 minutes from airport. I did not receive a requested wakeup call the next morning causing me to rush to airport. Thank goodness for an excellent shuttle service the hotel offers free of charge.”

• The staff is great, The pool area is relaxing. It reminds me of a good resort.
