- Room and common areas "worn" and room not the cleanest. Beds somewhat uncomfortable.
“Hotel is in an excellent location in downtown Akron. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, "Sleep Number" beds were difficult to adjust and room housekeeping was not the best, although not terrible. Overall would recommend this hotel for business travelers and others looking for convenience at a reasonable price.”

“It was a very pleasant hotel, very nicely located downtown, with excellent parking. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel is showing its age in several areas which could use refurbishing, i.e., carpets and draperies. I would stay here again.”

- Maintained with minimal quality - needs a lot of upkeep maintenance.
“As a 3 Star and the Radisson name, this hotel falls far short. Yes a competitive price but such a basic hotel with poor maintenance workmanship for what I thought should have been a better experience. The parking Garage and entrance into the hotel needs work. The bathroom fixtures were very old and worn.”

- The restaurant was ok. wait staff nice.
- Not enough space here. Bad place.
“The hotel was really dirty, the rooms small, the bathroom tiny. We were put into room 1009 after traveling for 10 hrs and just getting into bed, we heard what sounded like a freight train, we called the front desk and the man proceeded to tell us that it was probably the elevator that needed greasing again. So, at 10:00 pm we were moved to another room on the 12th floor. The room itself was no better, just no freight train. Bad Experience.”

- For a Radisson, it was inexpensive.
- Like perhaps a lot of Akron, this hotel's physical plant has seen its better days.
“This is a Downtown hotel that is well on its way to obsolescence. Just getting to the front door of the place was a challenge. The hotel's main street entrance is the only opening in what looks like a fortress's cement wall, located on a one-way street that can only be reached by circling around a non-square block or by approaching from whatever highway overpass branch dumps out immediately west of the hotel's front door. The parking garage and its attendant entrance to the hotel was under construction/reconstruction from an apparent fire, so directions in the garage to the hotel's main desk were spray painted onto either pieces of plywood or directly onto the cement walls of the garage. The front lobby furnishings, such as they were, amounted to mostly stacking chairs and folding tables left over from, or in preparation for, some apparent conference. The room was clean, but my half of the fabulous (not!) "Sleep Number" bed would neither inflate nor deflate. It wasn't awful.”

- It was 5-minute walk to the John S. Knight Center where the function we were in town for was held.
- Carpets and upholstery in our room somewhat spotted and lighting in hallways could be brighter.
“It was a perfect location for the function we were attending. Our room was large and quiet and the parking garage was convenient and reasonably priced with the hotel validation. There were not many restaurants nearby that we could see but the meal we had in the hotel restaurant was excellent.”

- We had a Jacuzzi room, which was beautiful! And it felt really private~ nice and quiet.
- Its currently under reconstruction, so if we would have really wanted to sleep in, the jack hammers would have been obnoxious.

- Limited parking spaces in garage near lobby, near clearer arrival directions.
“This hotel is nested in Downtown and provides safe parking/access. Rooms are clean and accommodating although bathroom/dressing areas are very small for two or more people with only one mirror at the small vanity. Also, the heating unit didn't allow for the fan to run all the time with the heating system on auto. I would stay there again because it was a good value and just deal with the inconveniences.”

“This is the first year our family had to stay in a hotel over Christmas. Holiday cheer was not abundant in the hotel. The hotel was not very full, but those there got very poor service. Christmas day there was not housekeeping service at all. There was neither advance notice, nor any apology for this. The restaurant food was average, most of the staff rude. I understand working during the Christmas holidays is no one's idea of fun, but they really lost the meaning of hotel "guests" there. We won't be staying there again.”

- It's a little confusing as to where the front door is located.
“Although it was a little tricky finding the front door, once I was in, I immediately felt both comfortable and safe. I welcomed the attendant's resourcefulness and helpfulness as I had never been to Akron nor the University of Akron. I would stay in the Radisson Hotel Akron City Center again if I ever have another opportunity to be in Akron.”

- Nothing much to say. A very mediocre, blah hotel, good highway access.
- Dingy, run down room, broken furniture, tatty.
“Room I had was run down and tatty. The fitness room at this place was horrible. One treadmill (junk) an exercise bike (worse than junk) and an "all in one" Nautilis machine that looked as if was manufactured in the 50s. Location of the hotel is dead after 5 pm and on weekends. You have to drive or take a cab to get anywhere. For the money, I would have much rather stayed outside of the city center at an airport hotel or someplace closer to shopping/restaurants. Plus for the money, Im sure you can find a newer and cleaner hotel.”

- I am seeing a trend of being assigned rooms that are in poor condition and are former smoking rooms.

- The Inside of the hotel looked nice.
- The parking was Inconvenient and In a bad neighborhood. It was not family friendly from the outside at all.

- Very poor value - expensive, but dirty/unattractive.
“The only real positive thing I can say about this hotel is that it has a good location being right in downtown Akron. The room was kind of ugly and not maintained very well. There were stains/spots on the chairs and bed, and the drain in the shower was clogged. I guess they figured that the hotel's location was enough to justify the high cost of the room, but that is not my opinion. This was a poor value and I would've rather stayed somewhere less convenient, but with a nicer room.”

“There is only one choice of hotel in downtown Akron: the Radisson. If you need to stay in a central location to downtown facilities, the Radisson is a good choice, but it's currently your only choice. Front desk staff is mainly semi-rude college students. You will be charged $5.25 for parking each day no matter what, even though there is no where else to park.”

- Pool was cold, food overpriced, ice machines only on select floors, no vending machines.
“Had booked 2 rooms. One room with 3 people. Requested rooms on same floor. Hotel did not have any clean rooms for the group of three; they had to stay on another floor. Bed was comfortable, shower for short people only, pool was freezing cold. Easy parking, friendly staff.”

“A fairly nice Hotel in a run down urban environment. Pool area could use a coat of fresh paint. Exercise Room could use an expansion - a treadmill and a weight machine don't make an "Exercise Room". Bathrooms could use some updating. I've stayed at Holiday Inns with better amenities.”

- The room was clean, well-decorated and had comfortable sleep number beds. Healthy breakfasts are offered also. The hotel exceeded my expectations.
- It is somewhat confusing to get to the hotel once in Akron without clear directions.
“The hotel greatly exceeded our expectations. The down comforters were great, the movie selection was great. The hotel is near many of Akrons best attractions and near blossom music center also. We were visiting during a rainy period and so we stayed in the room a lot. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at the Radisson in Akron again. The employees were always helpful, the parking was only $6/day and there is a gas fireplace in the hotel lobby to enjoy during winter stays! I can't recommend this hotel more!”

- Centrally located downtown.
- Poorly controlled AC in room.
“Located in the heart of downtown Akron, its best amenities would be free wireless internet, exceptionally cheap parking, and the pool and exercise facilities on the 20th floor. The room was clean although the bath and sink areas are small as is common in older hotels. The AC left much to be desired and the restaurant could best be described as average. Overall, it didn't disappoint but it didn't wow either.”

- The location for the excursions we took was excellent.
- We had to pay for parking and were not advised until checkout.

- Parking was easy.
- Room was a fifthly mess.
“I did not appreciate the attitude or the dirty room. Sheets were not clean from the last person, toilet had been used, and trash still in the room. The carpet and blankets were stained, sticky and disgusting and they did not give us another room. They said they would re-clean it, and when we went back it was still worse then a flee bag motel. If a hotel refuses to give the quality room at a great rate then just stop listing them. You cannot get a refund and are just stuck sleeping in the filth. To make matters worse I had my three young children with me. Pay attention to this and other reviews on this hotel and do not stay here ever!”

- Parking - garaged but free on weekends.
- Food in restaurant were like delivered cold and tasting old.
“This hotel is a great location for the Akron area. The room was great and bed was extremely comfortable. The food in restaurant not good eats elsewhere.”

- It was very quiet and the staff was very nice.
- It didn't feel clean! The bed was horrible.
