- The casino staff was friendly.
- I felt as though I was not very important at all.
“What a disappointment - Let see where to begin - I have stayed at the Flamingo before and have been impressed with hotel and casino. This experience left me with many doubts. My room wasn't far from the nearest elevator. I had a nice view of the parking garage across the street. The walls were so thin that I was able to hear everything, and I mean everything, from my neighbors next door. I noticed a stain on my bedspread and it only took three separate phone calls to have them change it. Shoot I thought it was a holiday when actually cleaned the room with out me asking. When I tried to use the food credit, the computer did not show I had the credit and I had to spend another 30 minutes waiting for them to figure it out. Even though it took them a day and half to change the bedspread, when my check out time came, I got no less than three drop-ins in under 15 minutes letting me know I was late. By the end of my week, I was so ready to leave the hotel it wasn't even funny. I guess what concerns me most is how my previous experiences at the hotel and this time were so different.”

- Cleanliness, inability to complete express checkout, cold water only in bath.
“Although the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was tired looking. The carpeting was worn and faded, the furniture beat up, etc. The bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned and we woke up to only cold water in the shower. Because we had a flight very early in the morning, we attempted to utilize their express checkout. This did not work either by TV access of phone. I would suggest visitors stay at another hotel.”

- Line to check in. Not safe for older children.
“We had to wait till 4pm to check in and then the room was still not ready. They gave us a different room. This hotel wants everyone to be in the casino, closes the pool early, not much on free TV, no fridge, coffee maker or microwave not a good place for staying 5 days with a teenager.”

- The location.
- The rooms were old and dirty. Lights did not work.
“I will not stay there again. The rooms carpet was so stained and dirty. The shower looked like mold. The lights did not work in the bathroom. After maintenance came they still did not fix the problem, even when they said they would come back they never did. No impressed at all.”

- The go rooms were amazing!
- The guest services people were very unprofessional.
“I loved the room we stayed in, the new go rooms are the perfect Vegas rooms. Although we had problems with the guest service people hanging up on us the manager made sure we were satisfied for the rest of our stay at the Flamingo. I enjoyed the hotel very much and I can't wait to go back and stay there again!”

- I really liked the go rooms, very clean and comfortable.
- The rooms weren't to sound proof.
“Nice outdoor pools and nature walk, with great rooms with a great view. Not the best service in the world. i.e.. They told us that our rooms would be ready by about 1:30 PM to about 2:00 PM. When we went to check they were rather rude and told us it would be much later, around 5 to 6 PM. It took some arguing to get us into a room a little quicker. Other than all that, great location, plenty of shows and a well worth the price buffet!”

- It was okay but not as nice as other Las Vegas hotels we had stayed at before.
“I had read reviews of the hotel not checking you into the room that you had paid for and sure enough the first room we were checked into was substandard and not what we paid for. It was way back into the far corners of the hotel and just okay. I called and informed them of the mistake and they gave us another room. This room was better but it was a huge inconvenience to move from way back in the far corners and they hardly even offered an apology.”

- Tee room, we stayed in, was brighter then the Mandalay-bay room.
- The carpets looked as if they needed upgraded they looked dirty.
“In overall my girlfriends an I had some real good laughs the minute we walked into the room from the frosted glass bathroom to the ceilings, with the mirrors, with the lights in them, oh the girls loved the huge TV. We were there for a wedding at the West Lawn. The employees tried but quit a few of your employees had no clue as to where it was. Oh, so comfortable were the beds. We all slept like baby and the view was good, as a matter of fact, the beds happen to be better then the Mandalay-bay beds, my nephew happen to be staying there. We felt so much better at the Flamingo. Over all, we enjoyed our visit thought it was a cute place to stay, an the employees were friendly an efficient.”

- 2nd pool is for topless woman making the main pool very overcrowded!
“Had heard it wasn't very nice. So was pleasantly surprised. It was typical hotel room. The location is excellent! Very central. Pool was nice as well but overcrowded! Assume this is because they have cordoned off smaller pool area for topless. This doesn't seem necessary when so overcrowded at main pool.”

- Excellent, helpful staff and bright new Go rooms!
- Restaurant and pool areas are extremely crowded--get out and explore the strip instead!
“I took my mom to Vegas for her 50th birthday and we had a blast staying at the Flamingo. We stayed in a double-queen "Go" room, which is definitely worth the extra money, great views of the Bellagio fountains, nice, new furnishings, and the room was bright and airy. The hotel is smack-center of the Strip, has a monorail stop, and is attached to Margaretville, which is always a fun diversion! ;-) A lot of bang for not a lot of buck!”

- The fact that we were locked out of our room several times due to malfunctioning keys!

- Clean, close to the airport.
- Concierge service new absolutely nothing about the transportation to/from NASCAR event. Not good.
“Clean, convenient. It happened at all hotels on the strip: Tahiti Village promoters bothering the hell out of you. Very annoying. They were also very bold and pushy. No one wants to battle their way into a casino. Several of these promoters portrayed themselves as actually working for the Flamingo and gave us false directions to places on the strip. This is a black mark on the hotels on the strip. We will not be staying on the strip ever again.”

- The arcade should be improved and upgraded.
“We upgraded upon check in and I'm glad I did because the room we were upgraded to was nothing special. They need to work on cleanliness a bit. We had two kids, 11 and 13. The arcade needs improvement. The coffee shop also needs better service and the buffet needs a few more selections.”

- The outside surroundings were good, as well as, the casino area&
- The rude and uncaring hotel service manager and the room not being cleaned.
“The overall hotel is nice. If they would clean the rooms especially the bathroom and shower and ensure they vacuum the rooms it would improve my opinion a great deal. Also, when you gamble all night and want eat in your room, the food should be delivered hot, barely warm. The restaurant manager was great at correcting this, but the rude lady who was the hotel manager needs to learn manners. The overall check-in was great no problems or issues and they let you check in early if you get there which was great because I and our wedding party flew in early to ensure no delays prevented us from getting there since the wedding was the next day.”

- Center of the Strip, Convenience.
- Staff was not knowledgeable up to standards, check-in and check-out times were not convenient.
“The hotel was very well placed in the center of the strip which made it very convenient. The Check-Out and Check-In times were very illogical. They did not make sense at all. The Staff was very helpful in many areas, but where very important information was needed when checking in and finding out information on hotel reservations and check in and check out times, I was disappointed. The bathrooms in the hotel could of been cleaner and there was a slight smell that came from the bathrooms.”

- Extremely easy to use the train to go to the convention center.
- Needs to have an update in the rest of the hotel. My room was a new go room and was great.
“I found it to be surprisingly OK once I got past the rest of the dated hotel. I enjoyed my go room the newest room with the flat panel TV and great view of the strip. I would stay again since I used the train to go to the convention.”

- I didn't need to leave the hotel for anything - my meeting was held on site, restaurants & entertainment were available.
- No coffee in room - very bad for a caffeine addict.
“While a grand dame of the Vegas, the Flamingo is showing some signs of age in the rooms. The common spaces are more updated. I found the on-site restaurant to be average, but the convenience factor of not having to leave the hotel for anything made up for any shortcomings in the room's conditions!”

- Staff overall polite and helpful.
- Rude unhelpful buffet staff member.
“The hotel was good. Valet parking works on tips as well as the porter. Staff is helpful and nice. Room service food was better than the restaurant. Location was good. It has a monorail stop at the hotel and the Duesses bus (which is 5 dollars for 24 hours and takes you up and down the strip) stops right out front the hotel. I found the staff eager to be helpful.”
