“One of the rooms we were booked into had food crumbs on the floor when we got there, that were not cleaned up after the first night. Other than that, the stay was a good one. The beds were comfortable, which was a big plus. If you are looking for a decent place to rest your head in between adventures, this is a good choice.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 14, 2010 by

“Guest services manager not very helpful and if something wrong, good luck on getting it resolved. Not a very friendly staff. They have no care for business travelers try to get work done and a quite space request.” Jan 2, 2010 by
Stephanie from Culver City,CA
“I would certainly go back to this hotel if I reserved a Go room again. They are very nice. The hotel is also very centrally located. We will definitely be back.” Jan 1, 2010 by
Joan from San Diego,CA
“This hotel is dated but cheap. Beware of the check in line! It took us an hour.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 7, 2009 by

“Aging property holding on to history and a good location. Everything about it including the staff looked tired and out dated.” Dec 5, 2009 by
Guillermina from Yuma,AZ
“The rooms are comfortable but the food is too pricey for the items offered on the menu. In short, I recommend the hotel but you'd be better off eating elsewhere.” Nov 25, 2009 by
Frank from Pittsburg,AR
“It was clean, neat and friendly.” Oct 17, 2009 by
Aaron from Lafayette,CO
“Heard good things about this hotel but when I arrived, it took almost an hour to check in, then we wanted a non-smoking room and the room smelled like smoke from years past, also the only real reason we wanted to go was for the pool and of course that closed at 5PM and since it took so long to check in we missed out on the pool. Other than that the speedy checkout from the TV was nice, but I would not choose this hotel again.” Sep 24, 2009 by
Jose from Toronto,Canada
“The hotel is good shape for it's age. The staff was friendly and the pool area was very nice. The best place was Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville bar. Overall, it was good.” Jul 22, 2009 by
Angelique from Gladstone,MO
“Very much liked our upgrade to the deluxe. Great view of Bellagio Fountains and the pool is awesome! Love the water slides and the convienance of a topless pool area, so you can get away from the guest with children. Location is key and I've stayed in Vegas a total of 8 times and this hotel Apr 20, 2009 by

“For being one of the oldest hotels on the central strip the Flamingo still has kept its charm. Although I would probably consider the hotel closer to being a 3 star rather than a 3.5, I still had a great experience. I was a bit disappointed in the size of the bathrooms within the rooms but I did enjoy the fact that the casino floor seemed very well ventilated and was pleasant smelling.” Apr 12, 2009 by
Tami from Olympia,WA
“Good location. Easy to get around property. Not as over whelming as some of the newer hotels.” Mar 16, 2009 by
Bob from Buford,GA
“Good location.” Mar 8, 2009 by
Anthony from Carrboro,NC
“The location of the Flamingo is perfect for travelers wanting to explore. If you want to stay in your hotel at all times this is not the place to be. The history of Vegas may reside here but you're a little stuck in a bygone era that is in need of a little update and facelift.” Mar 3, 2009 by
Andrea from Colorado Springs,CO
“Will not stay at the flamingo on my next trip to Las Vegas. Service and room condition used to be much better.” Feb 10, 2009 by
Christine from Windermere,FL
“I only stayed a few hours at this hotel so I can't say much about my experience except that the room was clean and decent. However, the check in experience was horrible. It was a Friday night, in Vegas, and there were 2-3 people working the desk, one that had at least 20 computers. It took forever to get checked it.” Jan 4, 2009 by
Zach from Scottsdale,AZ
“It is in the middle and is perfect if you have a group that can't make up their mind till last second because everything is still and option. I went for new years so their pool was closed. Little disappointed that we weren't able to use the hot tub.” Dec 21, 2008 by
Barbara from Lake Havasu City,AZ
“I would highly reccommend this hotel. I am 58 and was traveling with my 84 year old mom and she managed quite well. The size of the hotel was perfect for her, and she had a hard time believing that many of the other hotels were much bigger than that!” Dec 18, 2008 by
Carrie from Canmore,Canada
“Overall, it was a great experience. When we come to vegas again next year, we will be staying at the flamingo.” Nov 29, 2008 by
Ric from Denham Court,Austria
“Though this hotel had been around for ages, it was good to note that it hasn't degraded to oblivion like some of its contemporaries. Location-wise, its site on the strip is excellent.” Nov 22, 2008 by
Paul from Liberty,MO
“The Flamingo is in the heart of where you want to stay if you want to stay on the Vegas strip. Our room was in need of a makeover. There was mold on the walls of the shower and paint was chipping off of the bathroom cabinet and walls. The staff was as helpful as they could be.” Nov 12, 2008 by
Kevin from San Diego,CA
“The Flamingo has seen better days, and it does not hold a candle to the more recent additions on the strip. The prices are way too high for the quality that you receive. The lobby, casino, and rooms are outdated and rundown.” Nov 12, 2008 by
Jean from Novato,CA
“Would not recommend or ever stay here again - actually, there is no reason to even visit while in Las Vegas.” Nov 6, 2008 by
“Honestly, even considering all the negatives, I'd be happy staying here again since it is a great value, and its in a great location. If one expects to be drapped in luxury, maybe this is not the best place. Main annoyances in this regard. The fixtures in the bathroom were pretty old and caked with hard water stains and lamp shade was torn. Also Oct 20, 2008 by

“Seemed like something out of the 1980's. Would likely stay elsewhere next time I visit.” Oct 17, 2008 by
Rick
“The Flamingo was a great location, and met all of my basic needs, the overall facility may have been 3 stars, but the room itself was not better than 2 stars. The furniture in my room was visibly damaged, the tile/grout in the bathroom was aged and not well maintained, and the overall decor was probably 20 years old. I was on a business trip by myself, so my expectations were low, and that's basically what I got.” Oct 16, 2008 by
steve
“There's nothing welcoming about this hotel. You might as well be dealing with a corporate computer. It get's the job done but you get the feeling that you are just a number, the bottom line.” Oct 13, 2008 by
Roger
“As we had been here before, we thought the hotel was understaffed and the room could have been cleaner.” Sep 14, 2008 by
Nicole from Valrico, FL
“When we arrived at the hotel we were excited, until we got into our room and it was completely unmade. No amenities and the air conditioner was broken. A maid came to clean after we called and from that point on it wasn't so bad. Poolside and location of the Flamingo were great, however I can't imagine suggesting it to friends. When I called to speak to a manager she wasn't helpful or caring of our hotel issues at all.” Sep 13, 2008 by
Leslie from Foley, AL
“Parking was hassle with the valets and realized easier to park yourself great view and nice having monorail to get to. Casino was fun but strange people after midnight, man in wheelchair interrupted me while playing slots when winning he wanted to buy me a drink? Anyway then I lost everything wanted to a show there, but George Wallace was on vacation.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Jason from Anthem, AZ
“Room was at the furthest possible point from anything else in the hotel. It was also an older room that had not been remodeled yet. The bathroom was what you can expect from a Motel 6.” Sep 9, 2008 by
James from Mather, CA
“The pool was very crowded and small as well as the adult pool. 'The go pool' was crowded as well. The staff was snobby and I didn't see any waitresses taking orders which made us stand in the long line at the pool bar. Also the water would settle in certain places where the few lawn chairs they had were and smelled awful. My wife and I didn't really like the hotel facilities very much either. The one good thing there was the steakhouse. My wife said even though the bill was over $100 that it was the best steak dinner she has ever had and we want to go back there.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Dana from Chicago, IL
“We have been staying here for 7 years now, making 2 or 3 trips a year. Always loved it but this has been the worst trip here ever. We had to wait for our room to be cleaned upon check-in and sat in the hallway for a 1/2 hour for housekeeping to finish only to find out they gave us the wrong room. Back to check-in, then back up to the room next door to the one we were waiting for. Get in and our room is filthy. The carpet, bath tub was dirty, I had holes in my blanket, and no ironing board. I went back to the desk and they said they could not change my room, gave me a $15 for credit and said someone would come up and deep clean. They didn't clean but did bring an ironing board. My sister-in-law had the same trouble with her room. Dirty! We also had trouble with our keys not working in the door. The so called night manager Drew who I spoke with about our room conditions was rude and was not going to do anything about it. We are still here and leaving today. I will be talking to the hotel manager this morning. Food prices have gone up tremendously. Lunch for 4 people at the Tropical Breeze was $100. Ridiculous! The smaller pool is now topless and men have to pay a $10 a day cover charge to use this pool. Several of the employees at the shops were rude, with no thank you at the end of the transaction. What is happening here? We will be staying at the Venetian when we return in February.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Dan from Palos Heights, IL
“Centrally located on strip, clean, comfortable.” Aug 30, 2008 by
Robert from Burlington, MA
“Hotel definitely showed its age. Had a problem both nights with loud people in the adjacent rooms and the hotel was slow to fix the problem?” Aug 29, 2008 by
Dionne from Beaverton, OR
“If my bathroom was clean and the staff was friendlier I would have rated this hotel better. Some of the staff was really great and then some had the 'go away, you annoy me' attitude. This is not good for a Hotel.” Aug 27, 2008 by
Rodrigo from Orlando, FL
“I personally would never return or refer to anyone this famous hotel, there are many more hotels but people make mistakes and I made one.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Leah from Regina, SK CA
“The Flamingo is perfectly located in the center of the strip and close to major attractions and shopping. The 4 pools and tropical environment offer a resort like experience. The newly upgraded hotel rooms are modern and very unique, with a plasma screen TV. and a flat panel screen in the bathroom mirror. The drapes are operated by a bedside switch, giving an "Austin Powers" feel to the room. A great experience overall.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Mj from Ridely Park, PA
“Nice hotel. I feel that the rooms could have been updated. On the Deluxe. Pool was great.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Eugene from Huntingdon Valley, PA
“When we arrived, we got a room on the 4th floor with a view of a wall. Someone could actually walk up to our window. I asked the hotel to change my room to a room with a better view. And the staff changed the room for me without a problem and gave us a better view of the strip on the 15th floor. Pool was really nice, but very crowded.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Jeff from El Paso, TX
“What a disappointment - Let see where to begin - I have stayed at the Flamingo before and have been impressed with hotel and casino. This experience left me with many doubts. My room wasn't far from the nearest elevator. I had a nice view of the parking garage across the street. The walls were so thin that I was able to hear everything, and I mean everything, from my neighbors next door. I noticed a stain on my bedspread and it only took three separate phone calls to have them change it. Shoot I thought it was a holiday when actually cleaned the room with out me asking. When I tried to use the food credit, the computer did not show I had the credit and I had to spend another 30 minutes waiting for them to figure it out. Even though it took them a day and half to change the bedspread, when my check out time came, I got no less than three drop-ins in under 15 minutes letting me know I was late. By the end of my week, I was so ready to leave the hotel it wasn't even funny. I guess what concerns me most is how my previous experiences at the hotel and this time were so different.” Aug 11, 2008 by
Rachel from Covington, KY
“The room was very old, outdated and in poor condition.” Aug 10, 2008 by
Lisa from Columbus, OH
“Although the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was tired looking. The carpeting was worn and faded, the furniture beat up, etc. The bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned and we woke up to only cold water in the shower. Because we had a flight very early in the morning, we attempted to utilize their express checkout. This did not work either by TV access of phone. I would suggest visitors stay at another hotel.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Sandra from Zurich CH
“Pool completely crowded, not one single place on a chair left, people standing in the water, swimming impossible, pools much too small and probably disgusting.” Aug 5, 2008 by
Judy from Apopka, FL
“We had to wait till 4pm to check in and then the room was still not ready. They gave us a different room. This hotel wants everyone to be in the casino, closes the pool early, not much on free TV, no fridge, coffee maker or microwave not a good place for staying 5 days with a teenager.” Aug 4, 2008 by
D from Bellflower, CA
“Nice hotel and casino.” Aug 4, 2008 by
Lori from Paso Robles, CA
“Great hotel and pool great for kids close proximity to everything.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Yvette from Pueblo, CO
“I will not stay there again. The rooms carpet was so stained and dirty. The shower looked like mold. The lights did not work in the bathroom. After maintenance came they still did not fix the problem, even when they said they would come back they never did. No impressed at all.” Jul 16, 2008 by
David from Western Springs, IL
“Great hotel for its location. Easy to walk to other casinos. Nice selection of restaurants and the newly renovated go rooms are the way to go.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Gina from Spring, TN
“I loved the room we stayed in, the new go rooms are the perfect Vegas rooms. Although we had problems with the guest service people hanging up on us the manager made sure we were satisfied for the rest of our stay at the Flamingo. I enjoyed the hotel very much and I can't wait to go back and stay there again!”
