• Amenities were greater than many three stars.
• There was no shuttle driver when I needed a ride. Also the heating didn't stay on automatically.

“The hotel is a bit pricey for a 2 1/2 star, but includes free breakfast, free computer with internet and printing in the lobby, shuttle service, and indoor pool. If the mattress were higher quality, and with a couple minor changes such as different tissues, I would raise this to three star.”

• The first time, in a long time, that a hotel made me feel like they appreciated my business.

“Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel offered many amenities that you'd normally only get by being a club member. Namely, a hospitality snack, and a manager's reception 3 days a week. The exercise facility was also surprisingly good. The front sedk staff was knowledgable and friendly; it was a pleasure to stay there.”

• Location was good for Stony Brook College.
• No good food.

“Food no good. Exercise room is steamily next to the pool. Exercise room should be on 1st floor. Kind of dark and not good.”

• After I complained about air conditioner, they gave me another room.

“I used this hotel in the past. I always get assigned to rooms with problems on a random basis. The staff will give a better room only if you complain.”

• Very nice features, clean, comfortable.
• Locked in the bathroom for 4 hours didn't help.

“After waking up in the middle of the night to have to use the bathroom, I could not open the door once it was closed. I was stuck in the bathroom for over 4 hours. I called the front desk after I was released and they said they would have somebody come and look at it. I never heard from them again and they charged me for a second night when I was only there for one. Not a happy customer.”

• Excellent for family, breakfast and pool was a plus!
• Could have had more towels available.

“Excellent, my kids had a great time between the pool and breakfast it made my kids weekend. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families.”

• Clean, convenient to family and friends.
• Breakfast eggs and sausage were cold.

“Everything was great. I left my magnifying mirror on the mirror on the bathroom. Don't know whether I will get it back or not.”

• Location is convenient.
• Beds were too soft, but not bad.

• It was very clean. Staff was very efficient and friendly. The room was very roomy clean and comfortable.
• I simply cannot find anything I did not like.

“I would recommend it to anyone traveling in this area, it was easy to get to and very nice to stay at.”

• The extra activities outside were cool, putting green, horseshoes.
• The pool was out of service and I chose this hotel because there was a pool.

“The hotel would be wonderful if it was running as it should. There were extra amenities I did not expect i.e. putting green, volleyball net, boce ball. I was very disappointed when I called to see if I could order a rollaway bed for the Jacuzzi room with a king she said yes, that I could book my room online ,call back, and it would be $15 more. I was traveling with my little brother and there was an indoor pool and I could get the Jacuzzi, it was a little more expensive, but I thought it would be worth it for the night. We got there and were actually on our way to check out the pool when we read the sign in the elevator stating that the pool was out of service for our whole stay. Then the ice machine on our floor would not work, and when we got back to the room we could not get a movie on the TV because it was not working. The phone in the living area did not work. ”

• It was easy to get to and it had an indoor pool.
• The rooms were cold, small and uncomfortable.

“The hotel staff was very friendly and polite; however the rooms were very disappointing. They were small, and there was no place to eat since we ordered in. The heat wasn¿t' working and when we finally moved to another room, it was just as cold. The ice machine on our floor was broken and the vending machine was gone. I felt like I was staying in some economy-lodge in the middle of nowhere. ”

• I liked the cleanliness and friendliness.
• The person came too early to make up the room and we felt rushed.

“The hotel is very clean and an excellent value for the money. The complimentary breakfast is very good and has varied choices. The staff is helpful and friendly.”
