“Hotel is in a great location, but I did not like that internet was offered at a fee of $10/day and parking was $5/day aside from that, it is a great place to stay with comfortable rooms.”

• I loved the indoor pool.
• I didn't like that housekeeping took our sons sappy cup and threw it away.

“I thought the hotel was great. It wasn't on the beach but still was in a great location. Near the museum and aquarium to the malls. The entire family had fun. We will choose this hotel again.”

• Close proximity to Broadway at the beach and walked with 3 & 6 year old to beach 2 blocks away.
• Pool facilities in poor shape.

“We stayed here for 2 nights on labor day weekend with our 3 & 6 yr old - easy 2 block walk to the beach and convenient (1 mile or so) to shopping at Broadway at the Beach. The pool was very small. Parking garage is detached from the hotel so not very convenient and a bit dark for late night arrival. Our room was clean and comfortable but the hallway carpets were stained and there was a large stain on one of the walls in our room from a drink. By far, the noisiest hotel we have stayed in. Hotel staff was very helpful.”

• The bed was extremely comfortable, slept great!
• Little farther from the beach than seemed on the map.

“The staff was great and the room was very comfortable and really clean. I was a little surprised that they closed the pool at 10 pm when they didn't utilize a lifeguard, so it was swim at your own risk anyway.”

• The feather top mattress was great.

“The hotel was very nice for business travelers. The hotel only has a indoor pool that is just a pool. No frills or fun stuff for kids. 4 blocks is not that far from the beach, unless you are traveling with 2 young kids & all of their treasures!”

• It was clean and pretty, and towels were provided for the pool and gym.
• The room was small and the parking garage was inconvenient to get to.

“I was disappointed for the fact that the hotel was three blocks from the ocean. The Convention Center we ended up with was of course catered more toward business folks than our 5-member family. There was no bathtub so my 4-year-old had to quickly learn how to shower. There was no foldout or couch so all 3 kids slept together. We had to cross busy streets to reach the grand strand, the ocean, and the parking garage. Not great when lugging bags and towels and hustling little kids along. Strangely, the upper levels of the parking garage have doorways leading to the upper levels of the hotel, but these doors are all locked or otherwise made inaccessible, and you have no choice but to go back down and across the busy streets. One other small thing - the food in Vidalia's breakfast buffet was lukewarm, and the restaurant itself was freezing.”

• I had my GPS navigation stolen from the room.

“All in all it was a good stay. They had a nice hot tub and room service from the restaurant was great. However, I did have my GPS stolen from the room and nothing was done about it, which put a damper on the trip.”

• Very noisy hallways during early morning hours due to huge gap beneath door.

“This hotel met and exceeded our expectation! Beds were very comfortable (down comforter, down pillow top, and down pillows). There was a big world traveler convention at the hotel when we got there and they were overbooked with people but our room was just as we had ordered! :) The 2 block walk to the beach was not hard and we had a wonderful view of the beach from the 6th floor window. Overall we were very pleased with this hotel. Also, this hotel is very pet friendly! If you do not like dogs do not stay here. We love dogs so that was wonderful surprise to find out! I would definitely stay here again!”

“This hotel was great! The hotel staff was very helpful. They allowed pets without having to pay an additional fee for the "assumption" the pet may cause extra work for maintenance and/or housekeeping. It was not terribly far from the beach but far enough that we were not dealing with loud cars and loud noises that you would hear down on the strip. It was quiet. Beds were comfortable. I can not say enough good things about this hotel!”

• Rooms were nice.
• It was not kid friendly, no exterior pools, no beach shuttle, staff was not knowledgeable.

“This hotel is not kid-friendly. There are not any exterior pools. It is not within walking distance to the beach. The shuttle wouldn't take us to the beach. The staff wasn't able to offer any options concerning beach access or parking. I asked for directions to Kingston Plantation and the staff couldn't give me information on those either. They were very unhelpful. We left and went to Embassy Suites.”

“The Hotel location was perfect except we had no hot water to shower for two of the four nights we were there. The hotel stated due to the height of the hotel, the hot water had problems getting to the upper rooms. We were very unhappy with this response.”

“Good hotel with a lot of extras. Unfortunately, those "extras" came with a price. I would never stay at this hotel again simply because they charge a fee to use their parking garage.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• The darken shade didn't really work and the room was warmer than I like.

“For the price I would stay again, the lobby is spacious and the staff was very nice, the room was very nice and the view was great. I would recommend this for friends and family, it is very close to Broadway and the MB Pelicans stadium, we were about 2 1/2 blocks from the beach and could see the ocean from our room. The only down side is there was a family reunion going and the pool was always over occupied to really enjoy.”

• Upscale, friendly and helpful staff, safe location, and comfortable bed gets 10.
• The refrigerator was not working. Wine/beer got hot. But staff replaced it the next day.

• Paper-thin walls; noisy at night.

“Do not choose this hotel if you want to be able to walk to the beach. The walls are paper thin, you can hear absolutely everything that is said and done outside your room. On the upside, room service was great; the food was excellent and it was delivered very quickly. Great for business travelers, not for leisure travelers.”

“I personally do not believe this hotel should be considered a 4 star hotel. The room lacked a microwave. The bathroom lacked a ceiling fan. The location is not very good. A few of the light fixtures were burned out in the room. I do not consider this hotel to be above a 3 star hotel. The room was very clean which was nice.”

• I liked that it was close to the beach and attractions.
• I did not like having to hear dogs barking in other rooms.

“Overall, this was a pleasant property however there were a few issues. We did not have hot water the first night of our stay. The third night of our stay we had to listen to 2 pit bulls barking for over 4 hours. After complaining multiple times, we demanded to be moved to another room. There were 6 other rooms complaining about the barking as well. The hotel provided us with complimentary breakfast as compensation for the disturbance. The location of the hotel was excellent. It is within walking distance of the beach as well as the Broadway at the Beach complex with shopping, restaurants and entertainment.”

• There was a mix up and someone got issued the same room as us and walked in our room while we were in there. The problem was taken care of very well.

“We experience an unwelcoming situation pertaining to the bed. The bedding, mattress pad, sheet and cover were soiled with stains. Service was rendered by delivery fresh bedding and was complimented with breakfast at checkout.”

• They will tow you car for no reason and do nothing about it.

“I parked along a unmarked curb, people had parked there all day, they towed my car at 8 am, after posting something on it at 7 am. I parked legally, they gave little notice and they did not care one bit. When the manager called me to talk about it all he did was yell over me and argue with everything I said even though his information was wrong. He ruined my dinner at an expensive restaurant with that phone call.”

“Attached to the convention center, this hotel is a very nice property. The rooms are extremely comfortable and quiet. The bar, while nice, could use some friendlier help. Overall, I would stay here again for the price.”
