• Nothing.
• The smallest bath I ever had and linen service inadequate.

“I was expecting a resort type facility and was greatly disappointed in the size of the bathroom, the view from my window, the pillows on the bed, and our bath linens were missing wash cloths both days. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.”

“A beautiful little resort spa tucked away on a hill just off the major thoroughfares. You would never know it was there if you didn't have directions but it is easy to find and get to. Unfortunately we were only there overnight so didn't get a chance to try the spa or golf course but the indoor-outdoor pool and hot tub were very nice though small. The weight room is state of the art and very clean. We enjoyed our stay.”

• Room appointments excellent - surroundings very pleasant, good gym-great view
• concept 2 rowing machine old model, everything else in gym was reasonably state of the art

“Upscale hotel and spa with 9 hole golf course, conveniently located near the highway and large mall. Located atop a hill with excellent views and access to walking trails. Restaurant was of very good quality. In room refrigerator.”

• It was great, the beds were comfy, clean, people were helpful.
• Too bad they have bromine in the pools, kids are allergic.

“This hotel was great! Spacious rooms, comfy beds, fridge, clean and beautiful views and close to shopping. My spouse had a great time golfing and my kids wanted to use the putting green, so they accommodated us by letting them use putters.”

• The Staff and the amenities at the hotel were great. They treated us like royalty.
• The toiletries could have been better a in room chase lounge chair.

“The Spa and pool were tops hot tub was great and the putting/chipping green out the front door were tops. The restaurant was 4 stars and so was the bar. Valet service and they brought all our bags up to the room. All we had to do is arrive and relax This had everything and i was traveling with my wife and three kids. I would go out of my way to stay her again on our next adventure and spend one of our vacation days at the hotel spa and golf course.”

• Luxury linens, beautiful surroundings, and very, very clean.
• There were no recommendations of nearby restaurants that provided take out.

“The hotel is beautifully decorated, the rooms were very nice. The beds & linens were so comfortable, that I barely missed my own bed, which is rare. The pools and the hot tub were very nice, and clean. The staff was friendly and our family was very comfortable here. The only thing that was a drawback for us, traveling with three kids under age 6, is that the only on site dining was very expensive and not kid friendly. However, there are several restaurants nearby and we got take-out and ate in our rooms. Good experience, and the rate we got with priceline was absolutely incredible!”

• Good location, nice golf course and
  good for price.
• Location of hotel room.

“Overall, I liked my stay at Woodcliff (7 days). My only issue was with the location of my room, right above the lobby (where the hotel bar and ballrooms are located) and across from the elevator. If your room is anywhere near the lobby get earplugs or switch rooms. Weekdays are fine, but on weekends the parties, wedding receptions, etc lasted until 1:00 am. People also seem to talk louder the later it is at night.”

• Great view.
• Loud construction in backyard.

“Nice indoor and outdoor pools, great view of the mountains. Very good value in this neighborhood, would stay there again. Better layout/value than the Del Monte which is considered the best Rochester hotel. Bigger rooms, more common areas, the view from the bar of the mountains is wonderful.”

• Location.

“Hotel is located in a wooded corporate setting. It seems to cater to a combination of spa goers and business clientele. Unfortunately my short stays do not allow me to sample much of what the hotel has to offer.”

• Food, rooms, bellmen were great, sports club and pool.
• We had to leave.

“What a great time we all had. Rooms have been recently remodeled and they were very pleasant. Pool was real nice and my wife to be had her hair done in Spa Elan. They had jazz entertainment, but thats not really my kind of music. All in all a great weekend.”

• Clean, modern, quiet, close to mall.
• The pool was closed.

“The hotel is in beautiful location situated at the top of hill. It's surround by golf courses and fields. The inside is almost as nice. The Eastview mall, Target, Home depot and other shops are nearby. Also many restaurants. The room was clean and quiet (except the loud super sunction toilet).”

• I liked that our privacy was respected and when we asked for additional pillows they were quickly provided.

• View, room cleanliness, convenience to shopping and other attractions, parking was excellent.
• Something about the lack of breakfast menu items due to business rushes was somewhat disappointing because we saved the eggs benedict breakfast.

• Peaceful - great place for a get-away.
• The bathtub was small and some of the towels need to be replaced.

“This hotel is off the beaten path on a side road away from the chain eateries and accommodations visible when you leave the express way. We arrived late in the evening and if we did not have electronic navigation, the hotel would have been difficult to find, as their signage was either poorly luminated or not illuminated at all. The hotel lobby is impressive and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, although we found the bathtub a bit small to accommodate large body types. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, offering assistance with luggage and valet parking. Having spent only the night, I cannot comment on the hotel's facilities and restaurant, but I did note the adjoining golf course which appeared to be in excellent shape. This hotel has many of the amenities found in a 4 or 5 star facility.”

• The staff was very nice.
• It was poorly upgraded, looked like a handyman did the work.

“The hotel did not meet my expectations at all. The room did not function well, the refrigerator door was placed in a cabinet sideways so the door would open towards the only free floor space to store your luggage. The coffee maker was of poor design and cracked on top, I had to rig it to operate; also, the cabinet set up as the coffee station did not have an outlet anywhere near so I had to move the coffee maker to another location. The bathroom was in desperate need of a renovation, the floors were ancient, the vanity and sink were of poor quality and the wallpaper was painted over.”

• Not as close to Palmyra as we would have liked.

“Great hotel! We loved our stay. We had little children with us and they loved the pool. It was more upscale than we would normally stay in with the kids, but they were good and we were comfortable. We would have been uncomfortable if the kids had not been as well behaved as they were. Looked like a nice golf course.”

• Thinnest walls ever. Could hear alarm clock in next room.

“Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8 a.m. Woke me up, after a terribly wakeful night. Bad pillows and alarm in next room ringing for half and hour at 5 a.m. Called front desk and they discovered that room was empty, although alarm ringing. Hotel not soundproofed at all!”

• The ambiance, courteous employees, superb rooms and excellent food!
• We had no complaints.

“This hotel offered a view of the most gorgeous sunset while dining on some of the most delectable foods we've ever eaten. The sunset, food, staff, and overall ambiance of Woodcliff made our 28th wedding anniversary the best ever. We have told at least 10 people about it thus far and we will continue to spread the word!”

• The floor was very noisy.

“The stay was nice. The problem with the noise came from guests that were not accustomed to staying in this type of hotel. They were more suited to a Red Roof where their bad mouths and bad behavior may be more to the class of hotel.”

• It was in a very convenient location, close to the city easily accessible from the highway.

• The hotel was clean; the staff was efficient & friendly.
• The wait staff in the restaurant was extremely unhelpful and unfriendly.

“The setting for this hotel is unique and very pretty. The staff of the hotel itself was very friendly and efficient. The Woodcliff is very clean and the rooms are very comfortable. Now the restaurant. The staff of the restaurant was very unfriendly and very inefficient. It took forever to get seated, and then forever to have someone come take our drink order. Then when the wait person took our drink order, he got it wrong. I had asked for coffee and orange juice. He brought the orange juice, but never brought the coffee. He did have the nerve to ask later if I wanted more coffee. We were leaving at that point though so I didn't press the issue. I would recommend the Woodcliff hotel for sleeping, but not for eating.”

“On top of nice hill overlooking area. In business area so it is quiet at night, but still only minutes from the highway and mall. Thanksgiving dinner was excellent. 2 staff serving table for fast speed. By far nicest hotel in area Hampton. Holiday Inn are others that are not as nice and more expensive. Friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and bed was very comfortable. Mini fridge available for use.”

• I thought that those views were fantastic with a friendly helpful staff. Good cookies, too!
• I thought that the food in the restaurants was lackluster for breakfast, but the drinks at the bar were good.

“The Woodcliff hotel is situated on hill on Rochesters East side, about 20 minute from the city proper. Great views, warm, friendly staff, and comfortable, rich hued hotel rooms. Great for families, with the indoor pool. Great for a couple, with the spa services available.”

• The room was not as clean as it could have been.

“The hotel is in a great location and has a beautiful view of Bristol mountains. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. Woodcliff is to be a "resort", so I expected resort like cleanliness. The bedspread had a hole of 4x4 inch size and was coming apart at the seams. Replace this when I pointed it out to the bellman. Also, behind the nightstand there were crumbled potato chips. The chair had not been cleaned in a while and there was obvious dust in the seams of the cushions. The shower bar had been replaced. Bar had not been patched. The sliding doors on the closet were broken and continuously fell off when moved. The showers in the pool area and dressing area felt "worn" and could be updated. The hotel had a sign that a floor was closed for renovation. May be the whole place is to be renovated and that would explain the lack of attention to detail at the present time. However, that is not a reason to find the things I found at this "resort".”

“It was close to the Children's Museum and close to shopping. My room was fine, but it looked little worn out/old for a 3 star hotel. The pool was great though and my husband enjoyed the golfing.”

• The view from the room was beautiful, and the staff was very friendly.
• Some parts of the room need updating.

“It was beautiful in the public places. Our room at the Renaissance was nicer, and the room at Woodcliff needed a little updating. All in all it was a great place to stay.”

• Bed/pillows were very comfy; in-room coffee service; very clean.
• Would have liked a morning newspaper at my door; sink drain was broken had to move to another room.

“I thought they were a big "pretentious". I've stayed in many fine hotels in my career, this was very nice but not near the top of my list. When I checked in, I discovered my sink drain plug was broken & I had to be moved to another room. The coffee maker dispensed coffee in 8 oz. servings but the 2 different kinds of cups provided didn't hold the full 8 ounces so coffee went everywhere. How stupid is that?! I wasn't overwhelmed with the staff. It was very nice, definitely deserves 3 stars, but that's about it. I don't understand the "pretentiousness" of it. There were too many minor aggravations.”
