“Met expectations of 3 star hotel.” Oct 15, 2009 by
kevin from Mendon,OH
“Excellent hotel and very well maintained.” Oct 9, 2009 by
Jamie from Smithfield,UT
“We liked the room and the beds were very comfortable. I liked clean rooms and I felt they did a good job here.” Sep 26, 2009 by
Zac from Irwindale,CA
“The young ladies at the counter were amazingly helpful in every way. They even were good with giving directions around town. The Pool looked great, the little fitness room looked fun, and every customer I saw left with a smile. If you are looking for a good room, you found it here!” Aug 10, 2009 by
Laura from Glendale Hts,IL
“I would stay here next time I come to Rochester.” Aug 4, 2009 by
Larry from Fridley,MN
“Nice place to stay. It requires everyone coming into the hotel to go through the lobby, including guests.” Jul 21, 2009 by
Elizabeth from Pittsburgh,PA
“The hotel was very nice. The room was large, and well appointed. We had a late arrival as we were traveling a long way. We requested a late check out which was denied, they said they were all booked up, and needed the room to be cleaned on time. Sadly we were there for the singular purpose of getting some sleep on our long driving route, and were gotten up out of bed by the fire alarm.” Jul 4, 2009 by
Richard from Waltham,MA
“This is a good business choice, far enough away from the commercial stores on highway so noise was not a problem.” Jun 19, 2009 by
Nosheen from Bensalem,PA
“Very nice May 25, 2009 by
Sue from Topsfield,MA
“The hotel was clean and comfortable but the sleep number beds were fantastic, the staff was professional, friendly and very accommodating.” May 15, 2009 by
Susan from Buffalo,NY
“This second stay was an add on to the first. After getting in very late, discovered our room hadn't been cleaned and we had to move to another. This was a great inconvenience and the only reason we extended another night was so we didn't have to do anything after a busy day.” Apr 12, 2009 by
Bess from Thunder Bay,Canada
“Friendly staff! Clean! Good location.” Apr 6, 2009 by
Dawn from Honolulu,HI “Excellent location to RIT, comfortable sleep number beds and food in the restaurant was very good.” Mar 30, 2009 by
Bill from Bremen,OH
“I have stayed here twice before and the cleanliness of the rooms was not very good. This time they waited until 4:00 PM to clean my room on the first of a 4 day stay. Then they didnt bother to leave any towels/wash cloths. Fortunately, there was still one set in the room. The final tip was when I realized they had taken a drinking glass and instead of replacing it, they put the old cover cap back on it(from the trash) and put it back out for me to use. I had marked the lid just in case of such a thing. I wont stay here again!” Mar 26, 2009 by
Brenda from Austintown,OH
“Our stay was short, just really slept there. No breakfast and we missed having one. The pool closed early, missed using it the first night. The lounge area with the pool table for kids was nice, catch you had to be with them after 9:00 .Not to cool.” Mar 18, 2009 by
Tom from Thornhill,Canada
“It's showing it's age somewhat and the HVAC units in the room and hallways were far too noisy. The staff was very helpful and friendly.” Mar 3, 2009 by
JOHN from Boca Raton,FL
“Convenient to Airport, U of Rochester and RIT but get good directions to arrive at hotel because location is somewhat obscure and no real landmarks. Room and Hotel was clean-they have a great indoor swimming pool and a good restaurant. Front desk staff was unwilling to print my boarding pass when business center computers failed. I think it a 2 1/2 Star hotel.” Sep 7, 2008 by
Terry from Menomonie, WI
“The front desk staff was rude. The paper didn't come. They promote the comfort of the select comfort beds, but double beds only have one control. We did not sleep well, kept popping off the bed every time the other person moved. Had to get a cot to sleep on in order to get a good night sleep.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Norma from Athens, GA
“The hotel was very convenient to the airport. The amount that we did pay was more in line with the facility. The room was ok, smaller than La Quinta where our daughter stayed. As I said, the mattress was terrible. I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Liz from Bronx, NY
“Staff unknowledgeable, no local map, halls smelled moldy, The Marriott Fairfield is a much better hotel in this area.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Brett from Penfield, NY
“No happy with the experience. Work had stopped for the weekend. Hotel was pretty torn up and it impacted the type of rooms available. I asked for a king and was told there were none available. The room I was initially given was on a floor with new carpeting that had a strong chemical smell. Rooms have slept number electronic beds and the bed did not work, unable to change the sleep number. Windows were very dirty.” Jul 10, 2008 by
David A. from Norwood, OH
“When we arrived there was a family reunion going on as well as a tour group of teenagers in. All were in lobby and it was very noisy and crowded. As we received our key the desk attendant mentioned that the carpet had been taken up on the floor we were assigned to. Elevator was very creaky (unsettling). Got to our floor to find indeed no carpet in hallway, so it looked like a construction zone. Had terrible night's sleep due to tour group staying on our floor, running up and down and yelling in the uncarpeted/echoing hallway, till 4 am, extremely noisy. Complained to manager who gave us a complimentary breakfast. In order to receive wireless signal, had to sit in floor by door of room and crack door open. Other than these things, the room was nice and comfortable with good king sized bed. Didn't really like the sleep number. Having to set it via remote for mattress firmness. Would have just preferred a nice solid mattress and to not to have to figure out a sleep number before going to sleep.” Jul 2, 2008 by
Jennifer from Allentown, PA
“Very good - clean, friendly helpful staff.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Stacy from Bismarck, ND
“Excellent hotel for the price. Comfortable room with nice amenities: refrigerator, microwave, etc.” May 23, 2008 by
Chris from Chicago, IL
“Great location (re: airport, RIT, Henrietta), great staff, very clean room, good internet access, sleep-number beds. The hotel was full (many kids), and there was lots of noise from the hallway before 10p. Very quiet overnight. Nice pool and workout room; guest laundry.” May 22, 2008 by
Z from Memphis, TN
“Decent for the price paid. Fairly large. Not a fan of sleep number beds but they are in each room. Good visit.” May 10, 2008 by
Stan from New York, NY
“Over rated for a Radisson. I expected more. Say some nice badger hotels driving in and will try those next time.” Mar 16, 2008 by
Bob from Suwanee, GA
“When I checked in, they told me the elevator was out of order, and I had to use one in the back section of the hotel. Then I discovered they had broken pipes and no hot water for hours. Then I discovered the ice machine on my floor was out of order. This is unacceptable for any hotel.” Jan 1, 2008 by
Nancy from White Plains, NY
“It suited our purposes for a relatively decent price. The refrigerator, pool and exercise facility were a plus.” Dec 17, 2007 by
Rob from Hayward, CA
“This hotel is more like an upscale Holiday Inn rather than a flagship Radisson hotel, including the rooms. The room I stayed in did have a select comfort bed which was nice though. The restaurant was good, and the courtesy shuttle to/from the airport was a big plus. However, the hotel is not that close to the airport, and there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance.” Nov 19, 2007 by
Chris from Pocasset, MA
“It seems like now it is staffed by kids, who really don't seem to care that much.” Oct 22, 2007 by
Ken from Huntington, NY
“The hotel was very satisfactory for a lone business traveler. Restaurant average at breakfast. Staff was very helpful. I was put in a handicap access room on the first floor, that was fine, but I would have preferred a regular room, I did not request a change.” Oct 17, 2007 by
Mike from Madison, AL
“I would recommend this for anyone who wants a relaxing stay and nearby attractions.” Oct 12, 2007 by
Daniel from Panorama City, CA
“It was overall satisfactory. Nice, clean and quiet. And the staff was so friendly. Also we had fun with the bed which you can make firm or soft. The only thing that I didn't like much was the location.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Cathy from Medway, MA
“The hotel was good. The rooms were nice. Sleep number beds which were lumpy and disappointing. Our room was on the 4th floor and down two very long hallways. To enter or exit the hotel you had to use the main lobby so every time you ran back to the room it took 20 minutes. The fire exits should be equipped with room card readers so guests can easily access their rooms.” Oct 6, 2007 by
John from Verona, NJ
“Stay somewhere else. Not satisfied.” Sep 23, 2007 by
Jonathan from Birmingham, AL
“Nice hotel with a great location to the airport. Updated rooms with comfortable beds.” Sep 6, 2007 by
George from Philadelphia, PA
“While it is a three star hotel, the feel was more like that of a two star motel. The maids were in a hurry to get in and out of the rooms and I did notice mold under the bathroom sink. The overall cleanliness of the room was substandard.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Rich from Rochester, NY
“Have stayed in this hotel before. King bed takes up less space and makes a nicer room than two queens. This room was nice, but not as nice as the one I had previously. Floor could have used a better vacuum job, and the shower, while clean, was pathetic. It was like bathing under a hose. There was just one huge stream of water, no spray at all.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Douglas from Stephens City, VA
“Good place to stay. Neat, clean and friendly. Easy to find.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Khwaja from Gloucester, MA
“Services are good, the ambient atmosphere, and the pool. Its nice but you can't get a veggie burger! And the approach is little long inside especially for the ones who are traveling from or to Niagara.” Sep 1, 2007 by
Jerry from Sevierville, TN
“Room was better than I expected. Had a Sleep Number bed, which I didn't think I would get. Room was clean, had a refrigerator, microwave and is convenient to airport. Hope to stay here again.” Sep 1, 2007 by
Jean from Howell, NJ
“At best it is a 2.5 to 3.0 star. It was a standard hotel not deluxe. Additionally, the wireless internet wasn't working in the hotel rooms and you had to go to the lobby to get online. This would severely inconvenience business travelers.” Aug 30, 2007 by
Ron from Glendale, AZ
“I would not consider this a 3 star hotel. 2, maybe 2 1/2. We checked in and were given a smoking room. To the cleaning staff's credit, the room did not smell of smoke at all. However the hallway outside reeked. My wife called the front desk and we were assigned a non-smoking room. The room we were given was a handicapped room. There were no "sleep number" beds and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. No other non-smoking rooms were available. The front desk staff was courteous and even gave us vouchers for 2 free breakfasts in the restaurant. The cleaning staff ran hot and cold. 2 days we had good service and 2 others were bad. One day we didn't leave the room until 11 AM, and I guess the cleaning staff was done in our section. We had the "do not disturb" sign on our door, but removed it when we left. When we got back late that night (11 PM) we found a paper under our door that told us if we wanted the room cleaned by 3 PM to call. I found it funny that the staff came back by the room to slip us the note under the door, but couldn't clean our room. The hotel would also be wise to hire someone to clean up outside the front entrance. There were cigarette butts everywhere, it smelled like stale cigarette smoke, and it seemed no matter what time of day there were 3-4 people out front smoking (I know this last part is not the hotel's fault, but the entrance could use a good cleaning). We had breakfast one morning in the restaurant. The server was very nice, but inattentive. We ordered cereal for my young son. She brought the cereal, but we had to flag her down a few minutes later when the milk failed to arrive. Coffee was burnt and no refill was offered. I don't think the hotel lives up to the "Radisson" name; maybe a management change is needed.” Aug 30, 2007 by
Terry from Kingston, NY
“A lovely and quiet hotel that was convenient and comfortable.” Aug 29, 2007 by
Jeff from St Louis, MO
“The hotel seemed to be run well and the facilities were clean. One complaint regarding facility: The door to our hotel room was not hanging straight on the hinges (lower hinge may need repair). The door's hanging crooked allowed for a small gap between the head of the door frame and the top of the door near the strike side of the jamb. In the event of fire or smoke in the corridor, smoke could leach into the guest room from the corridor (or vice versa if fire or smoke were to originate in the guest room. Despite the two complaints, we would not hesitate staying at this property again.” Aug 26, 2007 by
Henry from Findlay, OH
“We unfortunately had a bad experience with the food. A fruit bowl was fermenting. My wife ordered an omelet that had a key ingredient missing. The hotel called and offered us free dinner. The replacement burger my wife had was also off. Dining the restaurant however was excellent. This hotel like other Radissons has a dial in number bed. We hate them. Could never get comfortable. Would stay here again. Staff very friendly.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Jessie from Wilson, NY
“My husband and three years old spent the weekend in Rochester. This hotel was very clean and friendly. The pool was my favorite part. They have sleep number beds which I have always wanted to try. They were nice but kind of felt like an air mattress. We enjoyed ourselves there and would stay there again. Free internet too!” Aug 22, 2007 by
Edward from Yarmouth, ME
“The Radisson Hotel Rochester Airport is a comfortable hotel, as long as you don't demand too much. It is adequate as far as the room size and comfort of the beds. Don't expect any extras, however, without paying for them. There is an automatic charge to your bill for a newspaper, unless you decline it. Unlike other hotels of similar status, the Rochester Radisson does not offer breakfast, Continental or otherwise. The so-called fitness center was a joke. Nice pool, but the work-out room had about 5 cardio machines in it, 2 of which were broken. The only other piece of equipment was a Universal gym. The restaurant was adequate, with adequate service. By 8:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning (our check-out day), we had 2 visits from the housekeepers to see if we were still in the room. Overall, this is an adequate hotel if you are merely looking for a place to sleep.” Aug 21, 2007 by
Paul from Las Vegas, NV
“This hotel has a friendly staff and was very clean.”
