“A lovely and quiet hotel that was convenient and comfortable.” Aug 29, 2007 by
Jeff from St Louis, MO
“The hotel seemed to be run well and the facilities were clean. One complaint regarding facility: The door to our hotel room was not hanging straight on the hinges (lower hinge may need repair). The door's hanging crooked allowed for a small gap between the head of the door frame and the top of the door near the strike side of the jamb. In the event of fire or smoke in the corridor, smoke could leach into the guest room from the corridor (or vice versa if fire or smoke were to originate in the guest room. Despite the two complaints, we would not hesitate staying at this property again.” Aug 26, 2007 by
Henry from Findlay, OH
“We unfortunately had a bad experience with the food. A fruit bowl was fermenting. My wife ordered an omelet that had a key ingredient missing. The hotel called and offered us free dinner. The replacement burger my wife had was also off. Dining the restaurant however was excellent. This hotel like other Radissons has a dial in number bed. We hate them. Could never get comfortable. Would stay here again. Staff very friendly.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Jessie from Wilson, NY
“My husband and three years old spent the weekend in Rochester. This hotel was very clean and friendly. The pool was my favorite part. They have sleep number beds which I have always wanted to try. They were nice but kind of felt like an air mattress. We enjoyed ourselves there and would stay there again. Free internet too!” Aug 22, 2007 by
Edward from Yarmouth, ME
“The Radisson Hotel Rochester Airport is a comfortable hotel, as long as you don't demand too much. It is adequate as far as the room size and comfort of the beds. Don't expect any extras, however, without paying for them. There is an automatic charge to your bill for a newspaper, unless you decline it. Unlike other hotels of similar status, the Rochester Radisson does not offer breakfast, Continental or otherwise. The so-called fitness center was a joke. Nice pool, but the work-out room had about 5 cardio machines in it, 2 of which were broken. The only other piece of equipment was a Universal gym. The restaurant was adequate, with adequate service. By 8:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning (our check-out day), we had 2 visits from the housekeepers to see if we were still in the room. Overall, this is an adequate hotel if you are merely looking for a place to sleep.” Aug 21, 2007 by
Paul from Las Vegas, NV
“This hotel has a friendly staff and was very clean.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Penny from Lincoln, NE
“I was happy with the hotel shuttle, pool, and furnishings but unhappy that the internet did not work in or anywhere around our room. I literally had to go 30' down the hall and stand to get a connection or downstairs to the pool or lobby area. Staff both at the hotel and on the 800# tech support did not rectify the problem or offer any compensation for the major inconvenience this caused. Since I had previously stayed at this hotel, I knew it should have internet services and had planned for such.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Michael from New Cumberland, PA
“The hotel is close to the airport. Getting to the hotel is simple, and the roads were not congested. My room was very quite. It also had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The pool is very nice and indoors. I would recommend this hotel for travelers in the Rochester.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Russ from St. Charles, MO
“The hotel was clean with friendly staff and responsive service to needs. This is a great place to stay. I do however wish they would show some energy consciousness and not have the room at 60 degrees when vacant in the summer. This is an irresponsible act of energy waste and unnecessary spending on their part.” Aug 13, 2007 by
Kurt from Santa Clarita, CA
“I hope Radisson doesn't get rid of their normal beds, because I may not ever want to stay at a Radisson if they have the same beds at all of the locations.” Aug 4, 2007 by
Angela from Alta Loma, CA
“Excellent accommodations (especially the bed). Definitely discouraged with the hotel cleaning staff. We found out, upon check-out, that a hotel cleaning staff member had made two long distance phone calls from our room phone. This type of violation makes travelers uncomfortable-we asked ourselves if the hotel staff violated our privacy by looking in the chest of drawers and through our clothes. Unfortunately, we'll never know.” Aug 2, 2007 by
Dick from Friendswood, TX
“Ok only. Barely a 3 star hotel.” Jul 25, 2007 by
Adrienne from Rochester, NY
“I was very disappointed overall. This is not a 3-star hotel. It's barely a 2-star.The bathroom was dingy and I noted mildew growing behind the caulk in the bathtub. The "Choose your Sleep Number" bed was essentially a glorified air mattress and was quite uncomfortable. My room did not have the hotel guide or room service menus when I arrived. Even after multiple calls to the front desk and restaurant, I never received them. When I went to the front desk to ask for one, the clerk asked me to wait and then disappeared. 10 minutes later, a different clerk came to my aid and promised to bring up a guide that again never arrived. I ended up going back down to the restaurant and getting a menu myself. The meal was overpriced and of poor quality - this is the first time in recent memory that I encountered a piece of chocolate cake that was so bad that I couldn't finish it. I was also missing items that had been promised in the prix fixed menu. Based on my experience of trying and failing to have someone bring me a menu, I didn't even try to have the meal issues corrected. It wasn't worth the trouble. Overall - extremely disappointing.” Jul 24, 2007 by
Jd from North Ridgeville, OH
“Nice hotel right outside the front gate of RIT. Larger than usual "mini-fridge". The hallways had an unusual odor, but the room was clean and odor free. Most of the fitness equipment was out-of-order. Good value for the price I paid and very convenient location for our visit to RIT.” Jul 19, 2007 by
Chauncey from Seville, OH
“The hotel was very nice. The front desk very efficient as I said I was there for business and both night I was woke up to loud talking one night and the next night to a yelling family at 1:30 am the first night and 2:30 am the second night very brief but still enough to wake me up.” Jul 17, 2007 by
David from Gold Canyon, AZ
“Room was pretty decent overall, seemed a little dated though for being recently renovated? Maybe they hadn't gotten to this room yet, I don't know. Bathroom wasn't all that clean though, numerous large hairs on the floor and a sink that took forever to drain. Hallways near the elevators and inside elevators smelled very strongly of fumes from grease or something. Positives were the sleep number mattress, fridge, microwave and free wife.” Jul 15, 2007 by
Lori from Raleigh, NC
“There doesn't seem to be a lot of three-star hotel options in Rochester. This Radisson is a perfectly fine, comfortable, friendly place to stay that lives up to its three-star status.” Jul 15, 2007 by
Ron from Alliance, OH
“I do not have any complaints.” Jul 13, 2007 by
Maria from Rochester, NY
“My experience was very satisfactory, the commodity and the service with a great location and the price I acquire the room for I couldn't expect more for it, it was excellent!” Jul 11, 2007 by
Jim from Bradford, PA
“Although we had a drain problem in our room the staff handled it well. When I asked to move to another room it was taken care of immediately.” Jul 10, 2007 by
Kevin from San Antonio, TX
“Thought it was great and have already booked to stay here again.” Jul 6, 2007 by
Theresa from Somerville, MA
“The hotel was fine.” Jul 2, 2007 by
Jackie from Torrance, CA
“This hotel was a disappointment. Meals were not available during the posted hours. Often, they closed early, or took down the buffet early. The food was not fresh or well prepared. I waited for hours for maintenance to come to my room only to find out that the desk clerks sent him to the wrong room twice, causing me to miss breakfast b/c the kitchen decided to close early. Seems to me that the employees run the show here. Not tightly run, nor well managed. Don't think I'll be back.” May 24, 2007 by
Dhiren from Troy, MI
“I was probably given a room that they won't give to a full-paying customer. It was not bad, but it did not meet a 3-star level. The bath tub had black dye marks. The bathroom was not what one would expect at Radisson. I went to the bar 11:30 p.m. to pick up a fork to eat my carry-out Chinese dinner. I waited for 10 minutes without seeing the bartender. I expect better from Radisson. I have stayed at the same hotel earlier, and the room and service were good at that time.” Apr 25, 2007 by
Ken from Villa Hills, KY
“Excellent facility really enjoyed the heated pool and fitness center. I only ate breakfast in the restaurant but it was very good. They had the new sleep number beds which were very comfortable. I will stay at the Radisson Rochester airport on my next visit.” Jan 21, 2007 by
Antonio from Sarasota, FL
“I will go back again.” Nov 20, 2006 by
Dawn from Corning, NY
“Hotel is very nice and is close to the hotel. With the shuttle service, it is just a good as staying close by the airport but costs less.” Nov 2, 2006 by
Chris from Erie, PA
“I was extremely pleased with the accommodations and location. A little disappointed with the size of the room. My daughter needed a roll away for her family and it took half the room. Pricing for suites would be something I will consider next time around.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 30, 2006 by
Smokinjoe from Richardson, TX
“Hotel was nice, friendly, clean and in a nice neighborhood. I did not like the "Sleep By Number" beds. I would have preferred to have an alternate option for the bed. However, this hotel stay was an overall pleasant experience.” Oct 2, 2006 by
Cassius from Pittsfield, MA
“Very convenient to my itinerary. Malls are easily accessible within a few miles and very convenient.” Sep 7, 2006 by
Ron from Rochester Hills, MI
“Easy to get to, but do not use directions. Call the hotel--they are very helpful. Rooms are clean and equipped with refrigerators and freezers. Arrive early and do not accept rooms near the elavators. You won't get a good night's sleep.” Sep 6, 2006 by
Ronald from Staten Island, NY
“I would stay there again, but I would be on alert to demand good service.” Aug 21, 2006 by
Gordon from Monroe, GA
“Hotel was under renovation and parts were very nice and others still were bad.” Aug 17, 2006 by
Doug from Hillsboro, OR
“It was a pretty basic place. My stay there was very short, probably only about 12-13 hours total. The shuttle to the airport was excellent, which was good since it's quite a ways from the airport.” Aug 15, 2006 by
Diane L. from Granite Falls, NC
“hotel was located near shopping, restaurants, etc. For a Radisson it was a little run down but very comfortable (sleep number beds) and the food was very good for a hotel restaurant. Staff was very helpful in letting us get a late checkout.” Aug 12, 2006 by
Robert from Las Vegas, NV
“Carpets throughout hotel needs changed out.” Aug 10, 2006 by
Song from New York, NY
“This hotel meet my expectations. It has free internet access which is not so common in higher end hotels. They use Sleep Number Bed in the room which was very comfortable to sleep. The room also has a mini-refrig and a microwave. Very useful for storage of fresh fruits and vegetables we purchased on the road.” Aug 9, 2006 by
Niel from Williamsville, NY
“On the RIT campus. Location was a little far from the airport. Hotel was clean.” Aug 8, 2006 by
Jan from Plymoyth, MN
“We were in town to spend the day with our grandson on his third birthday. Hotel was convenient to all of the places we were going. We were able to spend a few minutes in bar which was very relaxing. Did not have food because it was too late. We will be back.” Aug 6, 2006 by
Eric from Waltham, MA
“Convenient to Airport and all of Rochester area. Clean rooms, low outside noise. Free Wi-fi a plus.” Jul 26, 2006 by
Carol from Dallas, TX
“This was a quick stay as we arrived very late at night, but all was very good. My older daughter had checked in earlier in the day and they were very accommodating in putting a rollaway bed in for her. The room was very nice though typical. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Check out was very fast.” Jul 25, 2006 by
Mellody from Riverdale, UT
“The hotel is very clean and attractive/nicely decorated. It's also close to many stores and shopping centers as well as the freeway.” Jul 25, 2006 by
Caureen from Boise, ID
“Conveniently located near the airport, this Radisson was perfect for our short stay in Rochester. We enjoyed the well-appointed rooms. The pool area needs attention. It appeared the pool deck and pool were painted with the wrong kind of paint (with a slippery surface). I saw several people slip as they stepped into the pool or came near it. However, the pool was refreshingly large and we quite enjoyed it. Overall, our stay was pleasing.” Jul 25, 2006 by
Herb from Fort Pierce, FL
“Exceptionally Comfortable beds. Best night sleep wife & I had compared to any other hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel.” Jul 20, 2006 by
Tammie from Murrieta, CA
“Good location, very clean hotel, friendly staff.” Jul 14, 2006 by
J. C. from Martinsville, IN
“The fitness room was under construction, but a manager and a nearby employee helped me find an acceptable alternative, which I enjoyed.” Jul 14, 2006 by
Wendy from Stratford, CT
“The hotel was worth the cost of $75.00.Clean, comfortable, free shuttle from airport.” Jul 9, 2006 by
Grace from Highland Mills, NY
“This hotel needs a major overhaul. The room is dark, bathroom has molds, beds are too soft and cause backache.” Jul 1, 2006 by
Peter from Cranston, RI
“The room was absolutely disgusting. There was mold all over the bath tub, blood on the shower curtain, blood stains on the carpeting, and bird feathers embedded into the carpeting. I was trying to take a quick nap in a very uncomfortable bed in the afternoon and was watching the World Cup, the TV kept going in-and-out so I couldn't even watch TV. The wireless Internet did not work in my room either, I was all the way at the end of the hallway (first floor) so that may have been the reason. The pool was closed. The food in the restaurant was terrible (breakfast and a late lunch). The bed was extremely uncomfortable and had a blanket on it possibly from the 1960's. They said this was one of the older/unrenovated rooms. This hotel isn't worthy of a 1*.” Jun 23, 2006 by
Amy from Lakeville, OH
“Nice location. Bed and pillows were not comfortable. My non-smoking room ( as well as the entire non-smoking floor) reeked of cigarettes.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
