• Location to where we were going was good.
• The room smelled estremely musty and was damp, it was dimly lit and did not met my expectations for a Holiday Inn Espress.

“The location was good for our travel needs around Madison. The hotel its self was rather poor in quality. I've stayed in many Holiday Inn Express and they have met my needs or exceeded them. This one however fell painfully short of both my needs and expectations. The room was poorly lit, damp and smelled terribly of mildew.”

• The staff was very friendly and accommodating!
• The carpet in our room and I didn't dare walk on it with bare feet.

“Great staff! They were very warm and friendly, as well as very helpful with directions to the places we wanted to go see. As a former CPO (certified pool & spa operator), the pool was well below my standards and I did not feel very comfortable letting my daughter swim in it. The carpet in the room felt waxy. I felt uncomfortable having bare feet in my room. Those were my only two complains about this hotel. Everything else was great.”

• I spent there just one night so I did not have time to notice anything wrong.

• Convenient to us. Very capable staff.
• Need to upgrade office center computer.

“We have stayed at this hotel approximately 12 days during 06. No problems. Staff is friendly and responsive. Breakfast service and dinner snacks/drinks are a nice touch. Approximately 7 minutes from the us campus. Now carry my laptop because the old gateway computer in the office center is very slow.”

• Cookies at desk at check-in.

“Convenient to freeway. Breakfast buffet adequate but in very crowded area without adequate seating when busy. Free local newspapers nice. Check your room first - ours had only one bedside table, thus no lighting on that side of bed, and no upholstered seating. Very sparse - bare bones room.”

• It was very clean, the service was great, and our stay included free internet, free breakfast, snacks, and cocktails.
• Nothing.

• Nice continental breakfast area, clean and well prepared.
• No mirror outside of the bathroom.

• Excellent continental breakfast, clean facility.
• Unfortunately the pool was closed, it wasn't their fault but it was one reason we picked it.

“This hotel was close to the freeway, yet a very quiet area. Rooms were clean, food excellent, staff very helpful.”
