• Convenient location, just off Mail Interstate. Great breakfast in the morning that ran until 10:00am.
• Had difficulty keeping the humidity out of the room, even though the air conditioner was running all the time. Very humid area!

“Would definitely stay there again - everyone was friendly. The only computer was not working, but they allowed me to use the desk one. However, that was a bit awkward. Very good continental (full) breakfast!”

• Staff was very nice and accommodating.
• Carpets in halls and in rooms appeared to not have been cleaned in a while, smelled musty.

“Overall the hotel was good. The breakfast in the morning did offer hot options such as eggs, biscuits and gravy, and sausage along with the typical continental breakfast stuff. The front desk staff was helpful. Beds were relatively comfortable. No mini-fridge in the room. but I didn't necessarily expect that anyway. I don't really like the A/C units on the wall since they are hard to control, but it wasn't so bad. Really the only downfall is the carpets appeared to be really dirty and smelled musty. The floor in the elevator was often wet from people using the pool.”

• My room had evidence of water damage and no other room was available.

“Great location as I said previously. However, due to location there was a high demand for that particular location and it was difficult to move to another room if problem occurred.”

• The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was in a great location.
• I thought that the air conditioner could have been working better. The elevator moaned and groaned as it moved.

“For the star level of the motel, I thought it was a good hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was fine for our family. The children liked the pool. The hotel was quiet, we didn't have any problems with noise. It was close to restaurants. I didn't think the air conditioner was working at its best. It kept the room cool, just not as cool as I would have liked.”

• No mini fridge was the only thing we thought they would've had!

• Friendliness of Staff, Nice Rooms that was comfortable when we walked in.
• Did not have a hot tub.

• The bed was very nice, I liked the clean bedspread.
• Can't think of a thing.

“The people at this hotel are very friendly. It has a nice breakfast, a lot of items to choose from. I liked the exercise room. I felt safe.”

• All exits were locked at night and non accessible from the inside.

“The breakfast consisted of stale doughnuts and cinnamon rolls with coffee, not what we expected compared to other places we have stayed in. The fact that the exits could not be opened from the inside at night was a fire hazard and left me not wanting to ever stay there again.”

• Only sorry I couldn't extend my stay here.

“Originally difficult to see from highway, but more than made up for that with outstanding, friendly, courteous staff. Free breakfast was great-compared to other's free continental breakfast.”

• The staff was the best!
• Overall, grungy and musty appearance; and smell.

“The hotel must be old. The comforter looked 20 years old and the AC barely kept the room cool enough. The shower curtain had mold at the bottom. The staff was the big redeeming quality; they do a great job with little resources. The hotel was ok but I would not stay there again by choice.”

• Clean, neat, very accommodating of children.
• The breakfast was uneven, the first 4 days were excellent, the last 2 (Sat/Sun) were adequate at best.

“Convenient, basic moderate hotel with high speed internet in rooms, basic breakfast, simple but clean pool. Very helpful and kind staff with neat, clean rooms, prompt service, convenient access and easy parking. Would definitely stay there again. There were large church groups there that we saw but did not hear.”

• Hot tub was dirty and didn't work. I went for a swim and got ant bites.

“My room was not ready when I arrived on time - the maid walked in on me while I was changing without knocking, my wake up call came late, the manager was rude and argumentative- he even gave me another persons credit card and id. Stay away!”

• Fairly new and good upkeep of the building and furnishings.
• Rooms are a little high priced.

“We arrived Wednesday afternoon and just had to pick up our room keys. The staff was very friendly and eager to make our stay comfortable. It is a fairly new hotel and in a good location to the shopping mall and lubes.”

“The hotel was comfortable, friendly, and affordable. I would recommend to anyone, and I will stay there again. No one bothered us, no strange people lurking about. When I asked for extra towels they were given to us right away. The temperature in the room was comfortable. The housekeeping was friendly and courteous.”

• It was conveniently located to Texas State University, clean, and had a friendly staff.
• Nothing negative, except maybe a little pricey for the size room I had.

“When I checked in the desk clerk stated that the credit card # they had for when I reserved the room. They said that this problem happens frequently and that my card would eventually be credited. My question is why is it a frequent problem?”

• The fire Dept. arrived fast when our room a/c caught fire.
• fire Dept came to our room d/t fire, fist-size wasp net attacked fireman and my family. Elevators out of order so had to use stairs.

“We stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels all the time. Our stay was terrible 1.Our room a/c caught fire. Firemen and my family were attacked by a huge wasp nest in the room window. The elevators were out of order for 1/2 the stay. The hotel only refunded 1 night. I thought stay both nights should of been comp. due to clothes smelled from smoke from the fire and wasp spray. I highly recommend you stay elsewhere.”
