“Rooms were quit large, not all units have full kitchens, room units have sauna experience just wish we had a full kitchen so we would be able to dine in at times.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Dan from Fairfax, VA
“Not a hotel. Timeshare condos. Units in excellent condition and kitchen well equipped. Common facilities undersized for number of units.” Feb 20, 2008 by
Reet from Silver Spring, MD
“This is a time share resort. Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. You need to know there is no maid service. Perfect for families and people wishing to eat in. There was nothing missing.” Dec 30, 2007 by
Karis from Suwanee, GA
“The accommodations were great. The only thing people should be aware of is that because it is a timeshare there is no maid service.” Nov 2, 2007 by
Kelly from Mastic, NY
“There are indoor/outdoor pools, a Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, free DVD rentals, free activities for adults and children, a Nature trail, free use of washer and dryer in each unit (with some free tide). The community is gated at night and feels very safe. Unit was spacious. We traveled with 7 people aged 18mos 50yrs and each one of us loved it. We will be booking here again next time we're in VA. **there were no sales pitches or anything.” Oct 27, 2007 by

“This resort was exceptional. It was very clean, well decorated, and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was to die for. The fireplace, washer and dryer, and three televisions were an added bonus. The price was great for all we received.” Oct 24, 2007 by

“Williamsburg plantation is the third timeshare/hotel we have stayed in and it is now our top choice! The rooms are well maintained, very clean, and up to date. The place seems to have many amenities for a week long stay, though we were only there for a 4 day stay this time. The price was most reasonable for a two bedroom condo with kitchenette. There is no pressure to sell you time shares here, which we found quite refreshing! The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful place to stay for a family of 4 (2 young children). We highly recommend it. You get much more space for the same price as a regular hotel room! We will be back!” Jul 31, 2007 by
Deanna from Crozet, VA
“This is a great place to stay with young kids. There are activities during the week, two great pools, and lots of room to spread out in the two bedroom suites.” Jun 26, 2007 by
Lynn from Tallahassee, FL
“Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I paid for an upgraded suite and when I got there was told they were not a hotel that I was at the wrong place. When I showed them my email confirmation and address they then finally found our reservation but I had to be put in a handicapped room because they had been sold out for hours according to the manager. The staff was very rude to everyone that approached the desk. Talk about being overcharged.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Apr 11, 2007 by
Ray “Very clean. A great place to be with family. Excellent room and service, I would definitely stay here again.” Mar 29, 2007 by

“The plantation it's self was beautiful. The rooms were beautiful, and the beds were very comfortable to sleep on. The kitchen is well stocked and it was nice to have a TV in each of the rooms for the children. All in all it's a wonderful place for a family to stay. We will be back!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 22, 2007 by

“I will never stay in a regular hotel room again. When traveling with our children, having two separate rooms and lots of space makes the difference between a pleasant trip and one to be endured. The accommodations were beautifully decorated, clean, well stocked and quite comfortable. Excellent value.” Feb 21, 2007 by
Robert from Silver Spring, MD
“Very clean and attractive. Furniture and facilities in excellent condition. Very well stocked with towels and linens. It exceeded my expectations.” Dec 13, 2006 by
Nancy from Venetia, PA
“This one bedroom condo was much more spacious and luxurious than a hotel room for a comparable price. After long days of sightseeing at Williamsburg, the Jacuzzi was a pleasure as was the fireplace. The full kitchen enabled us to stay in for breakfasts. The condo was clean and well appointed.” 4 of 4 people found this review helpful.Nov 10, 2006 by

“I went to Williamsburg Plantation expecting the absolute worse based on what I have read on this site. To my surprise, it really was not that bad. My husband and I own at VISTANA AND Sunterra in Orlando. If you compare VISTANA to any resort, the resort you compare it to will come up short. VISTANA is absolutely wonderful. The Sunterra leaves a lot to be desired. We have yet been able to get accommodation in our home resort with Sunterra. The grounds and buildings are very clean and quite nice. The rooms were also quite nice and clean. No problems with the bedding or towels. We were in a bottom unit. The top units have only hot plates, no stove. If you are planning on doing a lot of cooking call ahead to see if your unit has a stove. The master bathroom is off the second bedroom as everyone says, but it is not an inconvenience. There is a safe in the master bedroom closet which was terrific. The beds are very hard. If you are used to a soft bed, you will not get a good nights sleep. The washer/dryer is on the second floor and is shared by both units. This can be a problem if both rooms have a large group and everyone wants to use them. They are also very small capacity, so you can only wash and dry small loads. Also, if you have someone with limited mobility, the washer and dryer may not be accessible. The deck off the living room is small, it only has 2 chairs and a small knee height table. Not something you could eat at. And the deck is not screened in so anytime out there you are subject to the bugs. And on humid nights there are a lot of them. We did not find a variety of activities available and it was difficult to join in if plans changed since you have to sign up at 5PM the day before the activity. There are only two pools at the plantation. One outside and one inside. And there is only one hot tub and that is inside next to the pool. The outside pool is nice. It is large, comfortable and clean. It was closed the first two days we got there due to a filter problems but it was terrific when it opened. The inside pool is ok. The water does not seem as clean as the outside pool and there is very little ventilation in the building. The hot tub is ok, kept at about 104 degrees. The real problem is that the restrooms while you are at the outside pool is located at the inside pool building. It is out of view of the outside pool and quite a walk if you are on the opposite end of the outside pool. There is free internet access at the main building right next to the pool and they have tennis courts and a volleyball court. You can sign out rackets and balls at no charge which is terrific. The staff is quire pleasant and helpful. Oh, they will only give a max of 2 extra pillows per room. And, upon check out they will charge you if they consider the room excessively dirty and you are expected to strip the beds before checking out. Overall we had a really nice time at the Williamsburg Plantation. Just a hint, if you plan on visiting Colonial Williamsburg, do not pay to get in unless you want the full package. We paid $34 each for the seven of us only to find that you do not have to pay to walk around, use the shuttle and enjoy the shopping. You do not get much more for purchasing a ticket except a few tours of some buildings which did not seem to be much different than any of the others. You can enjoy the shops and non pay buildings and have even more fun because you can save a ton of money. Busch Gardens is very nice and very clean. If you want to do a tour of a time share, you can get tickets for $10 each at the booth at the golden corral on bypass road right before Colonial Williamsburg . It will save a ton of money. We plan on going back, there is so much to do and we missed all of the aquariums and other attractions.” 13 of 13 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
