  • The view from my room was beautiful and it was VERY centrally located. The menu was great!
  • My room smelled like kitty litter but I think it was new carpet. It was quiet so I kept it since I'd be out late.

“I needed a central hotel that was safe and clean. This fit the bill. The bed was very comfortable, the food from downstairs was yummy and quick and it suited my needs. It was a three star cause the room was stinky, a bit barren and the hotel staff wasust OK.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[2] • Location:[5]

  • The view of 5/3 field and leaving at the end of our stay.
  • Dirty lobby and rooms, old, short staffed, much more.

“I am sick and tired of being burned by the inconsistent star ratings and essentially lies about hotels at which I've stayed. We've had good experiences at Baymont Inns. This one happened to be an old Red Roof Inn recently converted to a Baymont Inn. This hotel is the straw that broke the camel's back. The lobby was dirty, rooms were dirty, the hotel was simply a 23-year-old former Radisson Hotel that showed its age. The staff was minimal and we had to wait some time for a luggage cart to get our belongings in to our room. It actually took the hotel's manager to do so. This hotel is on its last legs.”

Overall Rating: 4 User Rating Score: 4
Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[5] • Location:[7]

  • The lobby was the best part of this hotel.
  • The bed, furniture and linens is something you'll find at a 2 star hotel.

“Upon entry you have high expectation, the lobby is polished and grand. However, once inside the room, you realize the picture in the lobby is far from what it actually is. The bed is old and not a comfy one either. The sheets and, especially, the bedspread is like one you find at a cheap hotel, the ones that are rough and thin, very cheap. But the picture in the lobby showed something like Shertan or Hyatt. White soft linens with a nice duvet and throw pillow so far, none of the furniture matched. The view was great. Although I personally hate baseball, I had a backyard view of a known baseball diamond. Room service is none existent or close to. If u are lucky enough to actually get them, when they are open your tray of rotting food, will sit there for two or three days. I could go on but I am tired and don't want to. I would not recommend this as a true 3 star hotel!”

We, however, did not like the $13.00 fee to park the car, however, this hotel is in a bad neighborhood and we felt better knowing our car was being watched and safe. I appreciate the staffed parking lot being available.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • The hotel did not have an airport shuttle and transportation was very expensive. A three star should have a shuttle.

“It was next to the venue for the concert I was attending and the group itself was staying there. Bonus! However, the hotel did not have an airport shuttle and it cost $110 RT! What is this New York?! At the very least the hotel should offer some sort of deep discount for that if they aren't going to provide their own. Their business center also closed at 5 pm which is very inconvenient for someone without a laptop.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[1] • Location:[7]

  • The view from the fourteenth floor was nice.

“They stuck me in a freshly painted room that had not been aired out. If I would not have had my EcoQuest air purifier, I would have requested another room. The hotel clerk was "snooty". I knew it would cost too much to eat in the hotel restaurant, so I brought groceries with me. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. Par Inn wanted $25.00 to rent a microwave from them and $50.00 to rent a refrigerator. Park Inn refused to use their microwave to heat my TV dinner. I ended up sticking it in the sink and running hot water on it until it was warm enough to eat. I also must mention that since the hotel is Downtown, you have to pay to park: $11.00 with no "in and out privileges", $15.00 with. There is no free breakfast provided {not even a cold one}. They charge $3.50 for a bowl of cereal. $8.00 for eggs, bacon and toast. I have Emailed and called Carlson; the management company of Park Inn. As of yet, I have not even received so much as a "We're sorry." from them. I am thoroughly disgusted with Park Inn. I could have spent less money on the standard rate at Comfort Inn and had a better stay. It is my opinion that you should remove Park Inn from your list. I hope all "hoity-toity" hotels aren't as bad as Park Inn.”

  • The convenience of having a room for the Kid Rock concert we attended.
  • The Fact they charged $17 for parking and then another $7 from the Seagate Center. So a total of $24 just for parking that's outrageous!

“The hotel was nice for the most part. I think its a little high on price but it was nice to have a room for the Kid Rock concert. I totally disagree with having to pay $24 for parking. $17 goes to the hotel and $7 to Seagate Center. That was outrageous! All and all it was an ok experience-one we'll do again probably not for the cost and parking prices.”

  • The bartender was great. We arrived after the restaurant closed and he offered to get us a salad.
  • Room smelled stale, old smoke. The furniture was atrocious as it was knocked and chipped.

“The hotel was convenient to 80/90, but it had old rooms that were stale smelling and the furniture was a mess, old and knocked up. This was supposed to be a three-star hotel? It purported to be a business hotel, but there was no room service or availability of food after 11:00 (unfortunately we arrived later than planned and hadn't eaten). There was also nothing around the hotel such as fast food restaurants or any other kind for that matter. The only good part of the hotel was the bar and the friendly bartenders. One of them actually offered to get us a salad even though the kitchen was closed.”

The hotel and adjacent hotel hosts a great deal of events causing parking clutter requiring guests at times to have to walk a couple of blocks back for parking spaces. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spacious with nice views of the city. The restaurant has excellent food and has a sports theme to it. Parking is expensive, so be prepared.”
