• Lobby was nostalgic.
• Had to switch rooms as AC did not work, front desk clerk was barefoot.

“Wallpaper peeling in room. Fan did not work with out rattling. Old building.”

• Other than the train station, the location was great.
• The young lady at the front desk was rude.

“My room needed some attention. Sink was clogged, faucet in shower dripped, telephone lines worked on speaker phone only, could not get a dial up connection for computer, WiFi did not work on my side of the building and they only provided me with a small hand towel for my shower. As I said, the front desk lady was rude.”

• Location.
• Cleanliness, had a water leak in bathroom.

“This hotel appeared to have been nice at one time but they were in the process of remodeling due to new owners I guess. The rooms had mix match numbers on the door the carpet looked like it could use a cleaning. I went to the restroom and there was a leak above the toilet seat. Sprite caps on the floor, mind you I do not drink sodas. Even the trash can liners were not in the trash cans they were laid to the side.”

“This was one of the worst experiences I have had. The room was filthy with human waste in the toilet when I arrived. Nothing about the Prince Charles Hotel was as it is portrayed. Conditions are deplorable and the owner is impossible to contact.”

• I will never have to go there again.
• I went there once.

“I spent a night there in March of 2007. The tour book said it was a 3-Star hotel. Maybe a decade ago, under different management, with a different staff. The toilet did not work, the phone did not work, the movie system did not work. There were hairs and stains everywhere. I asked for an extra pillow to compensate for the two 20-year old pillows we were given. They said they did not have any! Hot water was minimal as well. Believe me, the folks at Clarion forgot about this place and any tour book that says otherwise is not keeping up with the products they claim to know. I went on the official Clarion website to make a compliment and what-do-you-know - they do not even have it in their database. Smart move.”

“What a joke! I have never had a worse experience in all my life. The rooms were filthy, the staff was rude, the staff was misleading, the staff was dirty, and the staff was dishonest. It was something from a movie. I cannot believe they have not been shutdown due to legal problems. I want to start a website to make people aware of this place. Whatever you do, do not stay at this hotel. The ac barely worked, when it did, it dripped water on the carpet and made the room smell worse than it did when we first got there. There hairs all over the bathroom, the staff sat out front of the hotel smoking cigarettes and spiting into the street. How are they still in business?”

• Good Location.
• Horrible organization and customer service.

“My wedding was in Fayetteville a couple of months ago. We reserved a few rooms for our out of state guests, some being my bridesmaids. After talking with 3 different sales ladies we were given a confirmation number since we paid for the rooms in advance. The day before the wedding my bridesmaids check in and one of the rudest women in Fayetteville told them they needed to pay it hasn't been paid for, and this happened to some of the guests too who paid for their OWN room before they got there. I was on the phone with this so called lady. I was trying to give her my confirmation number to show her they are paid for, she wouldn't even take it. I had 24 hours before I was getting married. Brides are not 100% themselves at this time. My dad and I marched our anger down there to talk to the owner. After that incident half the rooms didn't even have AC in the middle of June. I thought I had picked a good place, but I now know where to take my money. Think twice before you stay there and don't pay before you get there or they will hustle you down for a credit card to pay again. ”

“This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed. It is old and needs a thorough house clearing. There was no place to eat and what the hotel had was inadequate. The hotel is isolated from things groups and seniors need. Service was pitiful. They offered $10 off because of my complaints - completely insufficient for travelers. I came early and could not check in until three - inadequate for me and any seniors.

• Convenient to downtown.
• Tired facility. Needs a pick-me-up or makeover. Ceiling fan squeaked. A/C fan was noisy.

“While convenient to downtown we found the facility to be a bit tired and worn. It's old and ready for a makeover. The elevator has seen better days. The ceiling fan and A/C fan in our room were very noisy. We've stayed in Fayetteville before for about half the price at a much newer or fresher facility and were only about 10 minutes away from the same downtown area. I was not positively impressed, especially for the money I paid. It was a nice place, years ago.”

“The Hotel was very nice and in the Historic part of Fayetteville which I liked. Would like to stay there again.”
