• The pool was a little dirty!

• Great location for our needs/very clean/friendly staff/great pool slide.

“The hotel was very clean; staff very friendly; breakfast area clean and spacious/food good; the pool is indoors and the slide is great. They also have an adult only hour which was great. They also set out daily free snacks (like cookies) on a cart in the lobby (under a plastic cover for hygiene. Shopping, movie theaters, restaurants very close by.”

• The hotel was centrally located to the various attractions we went to South Dakota to see.
• There were no easy chairs or sofas to relax on, only the beds.

“The hotel was nice because it is located close to the highways and shopping in Rapid City. The room we were in was located next to the elevators so it was a bit noisy well into the night. The breakfast that was available was subpar to other hotels offering the same type of fare. We ended up going out to local restaurants for breakfast after eating at the hotel once.”

• We liked the hot tubs, treadmill, and pool facilities.
• I could hear the traffic from the main road outside and the restaurant next door.

“The Country Inn and Suites is clean and is refurbishing/updating its rooms, The staff we met was very helpful. For example, the morning desk clerk went out of her way to give us muffins and juice when we turned our key in to leave at 5:00 am. The pool is warm and it has a large, twisty water slide. I would definitely stay there again.”

“Great breakfast.
Far (45 minutes) from Mt Rushmore, Custer State park and Crazy Horse. Lots of nearby restaurants & Gas stations. (TGI is within the hotel premises). Good maintenance.
Location is a little north of downtown Rapid City along with a ton of other hotels. NOT a romantic or scenic location.”

• Outstanding location, very clean, business center.
• The gym was very minimal; no weight equipment.

“Superb location off I-90 in Rapid City. Right next to TGIF, Denny's, and a 24-hour Perkins. Less than an hour's drive to Mount Rushmore. Very clean property with airy, spacious rooms. Attentive housekeeping.”

• Friendliness and responsiveness of Front Desk employees.
• There was nothing that we did not like.

“The room was clean, and everything was in good working order. The comp. breakfast offered a number of enjoyable options, and the staff was attentive to maintaining cleanliness and a resupply as required of food items. Their manner was always friendly and professional. The Front Desk associates were very pleasant, and especially responsive to our needs.”

• It was family-friendly. The continental breakfast was just right and the kids would've loved the pool [if we remembered our swimsuits!].
• The clerks could've been a little more aware. Both clerks were carrying on a conversation w/another guest while I stood waiting.

“Overall, my experience was okay. The hotel was nice and the location was good. Restaurants and stores were within close distance to the hotel. I would recommend the site to anyone.”

• Like all Country Inns the decor is well country and a bit hokey but hey for a business traveler I just want a clean place to stay and they do deliver.

“The Hotel is located on the outskirts of Rapid City. If you have a car, it's a good location to explore the surrounding areas. (i.e. Mt. Rushmore and the Black Hills.) Friendly, helpful staff. Free Breakfast in the morning. And a little pool with a waterslide. This hotel would be ideal for a family get-away.”

• I liked the cozy entrance and friendly staff.
• It took about 30 minutes to check in because of an inexperienced person at the front desk.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The pool had many unsupervised children which made it hard to relax in the hottub(which needed to be cleaned). Otherwise my stay was uneventfull and the rooms and lobby were clean and comfortable.”

“The overall stay was good. The employees in charge of the continental breakfast were very accommodating and had the kitchen area very clean and eye appealing! All the staff of the motel greeted us daily coming to and from the room and lobby!”

“Over all this is a nice hotel the room was nice and they a nice breakfast and had soup in the evening. The only problem was they had trouble with there internet provider during the two days that I was there. The staff how ever did take care of the problem as soon as they found out. All I can say is what a great staff.”

• The continental breakfast was excellent.
• Not enough working washers and dryers, the janitorial staff did not clean room thoroughly.

“Good location, great breakfast, first room I moved into had dirty sheets. Second room was clean at the outset, but staff failed to empty coffee pot twice and didn't empty all of the trash cans. Also, we were short of toilet paper. Dryer worked poorly and times for cycles were not posted so you have to continuously check to see if your load is finished which is a double pain if the laundry isn't on the floor you are staying on.”

• The housekeeper did an excellent job in making up our room every day. Good attention to detail.
• Cups on the floor were picked up. Employee pulled out clean cups put them with the dirty cups and taken to storage room. Not sure if thrown away.

“Staff was very friendly. The room was made up very nice every day. Towels were being folded at front desk and I question the cleanliness of doing that. Some cups that fell on the floor were taken to a storage room and mixed with clean cups and Im concerned that rather then throwing them away they were put on a shelf for later use.”

“This is a very attractive hotel in a good location. The room was comfortable and the staff could not have been friendlier. Also nice was that there was a very nice TGI Fridays, with an unusually spacious bar, on the property. All in all a very good 2 and a half star experience.”

• It's a little hard to find of the I-80.

• I was very impressed with the service and the spacious rooms. The rooms are in great condition. The service was excellent.

• Pool area and water slide were excellent. 2 hot tubs CLEAN!
• Could use a bigger room for Continental Breakfast. Crowded.

Quiet comfortable rooms and great selection on Continental Breakfast bar. Ample parking and convenient location close to Mall and Star bucks (my favorite). Thanks for a great stay!”

• The nice long counter in bath room, nice chair with a lamp close by.

• We enjoyed the breakfast and swimming pool.
• The tables in the breakfast room were not always clean.

“I really liked it and would love to stay again. Unfortunately the water slide was not practical for smaller children as the depth at the end was 6 ft. The breakfast was unlike another complimentary breakfast I have ever had and was very good. The room was also very clean and the staff extremely helpful.”
