• I liked the comfortable bed.
• The food could have been better.

“The room was nice, comfortable, and clean. Everything that I expect from a 3-star hotel. This room met my expectations. The staff was very nice and friendly. The only thing negative is that the food could use some improvement. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.”

• I was able to book the trip and stay in less than an hour. No problems upon arrival. fast check in.
• I requested toiletries prior to my arrival, it was not prepared. Sleep number bed broken, bathroom sink broken, tub had soap scum film.

“Overall I enjoyed my stay; I was disappointed that I was placed in a room that was not inspected. The sleep number bed was broken. I did not have a pamphlet about the hotel accommodations in my room explaining what was offered during my stay. I requested toiletries be delivered upon my arrival and they were not. I requested pillows and extra blanket, only pillows were delivered, he brought back the blanket later on. The bathroom sink stopper was broken and over flowed the sink several times. The tub had a soap scum residue film along the entire side as if not cleaned. Aside from the above, the staff was very friendly and responded to future requests well. Thank you.”

• The sheets were stained with blood. That's kind of a huge turnoff.

“What probably at one point in time was a decent Holiday Inn, seems to be, like many other hotels, slipping in quality, and overall cleanliness. The television reception was poor, no premium channels, the bathroom was old, and need remodeling (rust stains in tub, no soap holder in shower), and the coup de grace was the stained sheets. Pretty appealing. the whole place needs a makeover.”

• Main sign for hotel said Holiday Inn, made it hard to find, I kept driving past it.

• Difficulties in exiting the garden state parkway properly.

“Well run. Good breakfast. Weather was cold and windy on heels of a serious snow and windstorm. There was therefore an understandable amount of snow and ice on the roads, parking areas, and sidewalks.”

• Being next to a highway mean that rooms would be noisy. Small bathroom. Carpet needed to be cleaned.

“The staff accommodated our request for a non-smoking room (Wife has asthma) and we were able to pick a room on the opposite side of the building from the highway. We also had a choice between a king-bed and 2 doubles. The hotel was renovated - bathroom very small, carpet had spots. Most highway noise could be drowned out by using the heating/Air-Conditioning fan.”

• Bozos running the place.

“The wireless internet service was an absolute joke (way too slow to be even called "wireless internet", dial up would have been faster but costlier). The TV was screwed up and they weren't helping me, finally I demanded that they change my room. I was not happy about this. Very strange behavior at this hotel felt like twilight zone.”

“The Radisson is a decent hotel and many of the rooms have been recently upgraded to include sleep number beds. While not exactly convenient for travel into Manhattan, the rates here will allow you to splurge on something else on your New York city trip.”

• Endurable to stay.
• No business center, no restaurant near the hotel, needing renovation.

“Good thing is that this hotel is about 15 miles from the New York city. Except that, it is hard to find any advantages. The hotel did not have business center. The staff was not polite. Toilet was overflow and slow drain. The heater produced warm air after thirty minutes. Plus, a lot of group travelers stayed and made loud party. With same price, you had better find another hotel.”

• Asked for non smoking room and was given smoking room & non functioning shower.

“This hotel may have been a 3 star when it was freshly renovated a few years ago, but it has not been maintained and has looks run down. I requested a non smoking room and was given a smoking room. I was told they had no available non smoking rooms (this was at 5:00pm). There was mildew around the shower. The bathtub had 2" of standing water with hair and lint in it. The maintenance man was unable to drain it so we had to go to a different room in the morning to shower. The front desk staff was ok but not professional and welcoming. I have stayed in a 3 star Marriott near this Radisson and it was far superior to this Radisson. I have stayed at a 2.5 star holiday inn express in this area and it, too was superior to this Radisson. This Radisson is not a 3 star hotel anymore!”

• We drove there and its location was perfect for visiting New York.
• The restaurant was nice for adults but they seemed unprepared for patrons?

• Very convenient location, easy access to I-80 and GSP. Comfortable and quiet rooms.
• Shower water pressure was weak.

“Overall, the Radisson is a fine 3 star hotel with an excellent location to north new jersey, and easy access to I 85 and the garden state parkway. It has an average restaurant and bar that Ive never used, but have seen a few people in on occasion. The folks at the front desk aren't particularly professional (they goof around some not sharp and attentive as you see at better hotels), but are friendly and helpful. Overall no complaints.”

• The front desk staff was very attentive and focused on customer service.
• TV channel lineup was very poor. Most of the TV channels, including local network, could not be viewed.

• The decor is very pleasing and the bed was extremely comfortable.
• Didn't have a microwave or small fridge included in the price of the room.

“The hotel is very conveniently located. The decor of the room, lobby and hallways was attractive, clean and inviting. The hotel employees were courteous and upbeat.”

“It was a bit hard to find, although it worked out great. Staff didn't seem that excited for us to come, although they were accommodating. We got to the hotel late (9 pm) and the restaurant food wasn't that good, and it didn't seem like they wanted us there. It was great because we went into NYC the next day and it only took less than 30 mines.”

“Think shore side inns/motels as that was our first impression upon checking into the room. Based on my experience, I would rate the room/condition to be 1.5 stars or maybe 2 stars at best. Avoid the first floor: Had concerns of safety/security because of the well aged sliding door with non-functioning/broken security latches; the smell because of the proximity to the pool; and the growing wet spot on the carpet due to a leaky air conditioning unit. The rooms are run down.”

• When we checked in we were told the hotel was full! We could not make calls from our room. It took 24 hours to fix the problem.

“We were treated in this hotel as if we were staying for free! Nobody apologized for the telephone problems! No offer of compensation what so ever worn out carpets. Terrible smell of dampness near the elevators!”

“No hot water in the morning. I called a week before the trip to say I needed 2 beds and a cot, they said fine, I called to confirm and they said single bed, no cot, I told them again, I need 2 beds and a cot. I checked in, they said no problem, 10pm I call for my cot again and it wasn't available. I ended up sharing a double bed with my dad, thanks Radisson!”

• It was conveniently located in New Jersey near the New York tourist sites.
• Lack of family amenities and two busloads of middle schools kids running up and down the halls and taking over pool area.

“This is a good hotel for business travelers, but not for families as the price did not include in room fridge ($10 extra per night for that even when I told them I needed it to keep insulin cold for my diabetic daughter), no guest laundry which you really need with kids, it had a nice pool, but no Jacuzzi, and when we asked for extra blankets they said they were out and made no effort to find any! Also, it was nearly next to impossible to find any kind of a family restaurant nearby or a supermarket to get snacks for the kids. But the rooms were nicely appointed, and the maid service excellent!”

• I had just stayed in two 2 star hotels and I made a waffle for breakfast, included. Not here.

“It was a good place to crash if you didn't want to go directly into the city; it was clean, comfy, and easy highway access. We hit a bit of traffic, but that is the George Washington bridge on a Monday! You can't avoid that. Breakfast included would have made this stop perfect.”

• The staff tried their best to make up for the bad experiences.
• The first room was too mildewed to stay in, and the second was dingy and smoky.

“It was very difficult to find, at a strange intersection of a highway and interstate. Its decor was dingy and smelled of smoke, even in smoke-free areas. The beds dipped low in the middle and the sheets scratched. The lighting was low and yellow. The blankets and bed covers were polyester and, by their design, about 30 years old.”

“The people next door very noisy and fighting for two nights in a row 1-3 am in the morning. I contacted the Hotel staff but nothing was done. I had to move to another room on a different floor. Other than that, my stay was very good.”

• Convenient location off I-80 & Garden State Parkway.
• Poor room.

“We were given the room at the end of the first floor corridor on the side with a strong arc lamp that was on the whole night on the lawn right outside the room. The window shade is not thick enough to block the light. So, the room was quite bright through out the night. The door and the floor has a gap an inch wide letting cold air streaming into the room. The room is directly opposite to the gym which is noisy. There is also a whirling sound coming on and off every 10 min or so. ”
