• The lobby was very attractive, staff very friendly. We were in several hotels/motels during this travel and this hotel had the best breakfast.
• We checked in late in the afternoon and the only King size bed available was in a handicap room.

• Clean, nice lobby and room, good complimentary breakfast, nice pool/Jacuzzi.
• Noisy housekeepers who slammed doors and knocked service carts against wall and also were unfriendly. They're there for our benefit, not vice-versa.

“Besides the housekeeper exhibiting a bit of passive-aggressiveness by slamming doors adjacent to our room and bumping service cart against the walls at 9 am on a weekend morning. Other than that, the hotel was clean, the lobby was warm and comfortable - and nicely decorated for Christmas - and the complimentary breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Our room, even though it consisted of two queen beds was roomy and clean. There were plenty of restaurant and shopping options within a short drive. The hotel was more than half-empty for most of our three-night stay. The availability of discounted two-day passes to Baltimore House also was a plus.”

• Good location, clean, friendly staff.
• No fan in the bathroom.

“The hotel was an excellent value for the price. My only complaint is that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so the bathroom got very streamy after showering. The hotel staff was friendly and they had pre-printed directions to locations of interest (Biltmore, Chimney Rock, etc.), which was extremely helpful getting around.”

• The indoor pool & hot tub were very nice. The lobby was lovely.

• They were very friendly. The breakfast was great and the room was large and comfortable. I could not have asked for a better motel.
• I liked everything about the motel.

• Comfortable bed and pillows.
• No microwave or refrigerator in standard rooms.

“Hotel was nice, a convenient location to restaurants, downtown, shopping, entertainment. The room was quite spacious (king size standard room), however, there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. To get those you had to upgrade and pay more money, which is ridiculous. Those amenities seem to be standard these days in hotels. Overall, a good experience!”

• Had no problems with the hotel.

• Location was good, and the free breakfast and newspaper is really nice.
• Really found nothing to dislike. It met our expectations.

• Location was a little hard to enter and exit during peak hours.

• Whirlpool wasn't working.

“The room was clean. Nothing spectacular, but it was what I expected it to be. The morning buffet was good. The whirlpool wasn't working and I would have liked to have used it. No hotel grounds to speak of, but location was convenient to a mall, the downtown, restaurants, and the Vanderbilt estate.”

• Attractive lobby and nice breakfast area.
• Small refrigerator need in rooms hot water ran about 8 o'clock in morning could use and extra chair in room.

“I thought for location and other amenities the room was overpriced about 30 dollars. Traveled to a wedding and we stayed there would not stay again other than in an emergency.”
