“Great location for shopping at Birch Run. Nice hotel with a salt water pool with hot tub. Also had a very nice hot breakfast.”

• The front desk clerk was pleasant and the beds were very comfy. The breakfast area and food was good.
• The vending machines were out of bottled water and the area had an odor. The bathroom had a slight smoke aroma in our non-smoking room.

• I liked the price and hours that the pool was open. It was especially fun for my children.
• I cannot think of anything that I disliked about this hotel.

• Guest services assisted in every aspect.
• Tall tables in the dining area was difficult for the seniors in our party to sit at.

“I loved the assistance I received in changing my room to non smoking and finding clean towels when the pool ran out. Our family liked that it was right across from the Prime Outlet mall, close to Frankenmuth and not far from other shopping. The hot tub was just the right temperature.”

• Hot breakfast was very convenient and tasty.
• Loud children in hallways. Was apparently some sort of sports event that brought families with lots of kids, who apparently had no curfew.

“The hotel was everything you would expect in a Holiday Inn Express. Very clean, friendly staff and the room was nicely appointed. Public areas were very nice, had a computer for guest use to check email, etc. Security was very good, too. Had to have a room key for any doors other than the main entrance and also for the pool area. Elevator was very slow. Parking was convenient. Property is just a few minutes from Frankenmuth, which is a straight shot from the intersection immediately beyond the hotel parking lot. Was nice to not have to get back on the interstate. The exit where the hotel is located also had restaurants and gas stations and a Meijer store.”

• The Holiday Inn Express is a beautiful hotel.

“We checked into the hotel in the evening and were told we didn't have a room and the hotel was overbooked. We were traveling with our three young children and to have to travel to another hotel after a long drive was not acceptable. It was very unprofessional and unacceptable. It was such a huge disappointment. I can't imagine what we would have done if there absolutely no hotels for us to stay the night. Sometimes it doesn't pay to try to save a couple of bucks.”

• The room was very clean overall. The beds were comfortable.
• The pool was insane. I would not recommend going into the pool without kids. Very loud and obnoxious.

“I would recommend this hotel to friends, in fact I already have and they plan to check it out. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and even passed my wife's inspection WOW!”

• We were late checking out and the front desk told us to take all the time we want.
• The bathroom floor was unusually freezing cold.

“We had a hot tub room and the tub was huge, the biggest I had ever seen. It was a very nice room. The staff was great. They were very helpful with directions and recommendations to restaurants. I would stay there again and highly recommend it to any other traveler.”

• The breakfast area was fantastic, more than just a normal continental breakfast.
• Even though we didn't use fitness room. It was very small considering how much equipment was there that no one used.

“We enjoyed our stay very much. It was convenient for the things we wanted to see and do. Attractive and spacious room. All of the staff was friendly including the housekeepers. Lots of smiles from the staff.”

• The free morning breakfast was way more than expected!
• Beds were a bit soft if two people were sleeping in them.

“A great stay. Rooms were clean. Quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Price was great. Convenient; close to shopping at birch run (but too far to walk). Computer available for use in the lobby, nice sitting area. Pool looked good for family travelers.”

• This was an excellent place to stay with little children. The pool was nice and a good breakfast in the morning.

• It was a 'smoking' room and it smelled great! A good test for any hotel!
• Exhaust fan in the bathroom was not very powerful

• Entry door to room has been pried open before ,bath door has been set afire by heat lamp and never replaced bathroom door.

• Very friendly, upbeat staff very cleans facility.
• Adults coming into breakfast area in nightclothes and looking very inappropriate for the public area.

“We like the hotel accommodations for what we were looking for on that weekend. Our only criticism was the dress and demeanor of other guests coming into the breakfast area in their nightclothes. Seems there should be a dress code of some type if people can't use their own common sense and pride to dress decently.”

• We were visiting friends and just went to sleep there and it was everything we needed this time.
• My husband thought he could hear a lot of ambulances.

• Pool was closed, we were not notified. Sinks were old and stained, heater was noisy.

“I liked the hotel overall. It was close to Frankenmuth and had free high speed Internet The internet connection is not wireless but they provided a path cable to use with my laptop. The staff assisted us with all of our requests with a smile which helped make our trip nice. Great breakfast which was kept full and did not close when we got there at the last minute, in fact they made sure we had everything we wanted. Great place to stay with kids because of the helpful staff.”

• Employees very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean, pool area great. Breakfast choices exceeded our expectations and was very good.
• There is none to write about. It was a positive experience for all of us.

“Our family hotel stay was comfortable, convenient and a lot of fun for all of us. The continental breakfast had a great variety of food to choose from and it was very good. The pool area was clean and the employees were both helpful and friendly. We definitely will be back when we are in the Frankenmuth area again later this year.”

• The beds were very firm.

“This was a great hotel to stay at - it's very clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. They even had a microwave in the lobby for guests to use, which we did. The swimming pool and hot tub were great, and they let our kids use pool toys, which is something most hotels won't let you do. The air in the pool area was very warm, which is great when you get out of the pool. When I chose not to swim, it was great that I could sit in the eating area that has large glass windows looking into the pool and watch my children swim. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful - their cinnamon buns were the best! ”
