• The staff was ultra-friendly, and the hotel was one of the cleanest I've seen.
• I would have liked a fridge or microwave in the room.

“We had a very pleasant stay. We were in Louisville for a soccer tournament, and were constantly in a rush. This hotel was very soothing and relaxing for us at the end of the day. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly on multiple occasions, even asking my son how the games went at the end of the day (he wasn't in uniform, and yet they were involved enough to recognize us--it was a nice feeling).”

• This was the friendliest staff I have ever been around.
• The cleaning lady knocked on the door before 8:00 am.

“The hotel was what you would expect from a Marriot Courtyard from a facilities standpoint. Clean, nice, not luxurious. The difference here was the staff. My wife and I have stayed in good hotles and never had a staff as friendly. Very welcoming and helpful from checking in at the front desk, to late night help with toiletries, etc.”

• The hotel seems not as friendly as before.

• We had stayed here before and were delighted to get it again. Fun area, good shopping and food. Very clean and staff was helpful and polite.
• A little off the main area, but within a few minutes and easy to find.
  A fridge in room would be nice.

“Very clean hotel in a nice area. Just a short drive (10 minutes) from main attractions in Louisville. Going back for New's Years Celebration at the Galt House downtown, but will spend surrounding nights here.”

• Walls paper thin. Could hear everone in the rooms around, above & underneath!

“I was so disappointed in A Mariott. I have always had a pretty decent experience. I am not a light sleeper, however, I could hear people in all the rooms around me and in the hall all night long. I was really sleepy the whole time I was there.”

• It was new and the rooms were over-sized and comfortable.
• The breakfast was not included.

“The breakfast was not included in the room rate. Also, there were no vending machines in the hotel. You had to buy food items at the front desk at an outrageous mark-up. As far as the location, there is an empty shopping center directly across from the hotel and there was graffiti in the parking lot. Other than that, the rooms were wonderful, the hotel beautiful.

• The pool had a Family of 6 children in it entire time, two nights we were there.

“The hotel is behind another hotel of the same chain. Its clean and quiet. The pool is small but that is the only draw back to the hotel. The bed was large and very comfortable, updating the TVs to HD would be a plus as well.”

• The rooms were very nice and very clean!
• Hotel staff acted as though we bothered them.

“Hotel is not very old and it is very nice inside and out. Clean lot, clean lobby and very clean room! Two disappointments desk clerks not a one of them acted like they were in the hospitality business, felt like we bothered them. The other big disappointment, having to pay for the same breakfast buffet available at all other Marriott brand hotels and being very unhappy with what we got for $8.95 each. Go out for breakfast, not worth it here!”

• Clerk who assisted a friend.

“I recommended to a friend who stayed at this same hotel. When he checked in they would not give him a 2 - double bed room until a very lengthy discussion with hotel management, clerk, etc. I was very embarrassed by this situation. We had checked earlier the same day and there was not a problem (our clerk was very helpful). So it can be done. The hotel had low occupancy so the rooms were available. The clerk just did not want to help. (different clerk)”

• Location is a bit off the beaten track, but that has its good sides!

“Very clean, modern, friendly hotel. Felt safe at all times. Shopping and dining (mall-type) right around the corner. A bit off the beaten track (suburbs), but on the up side, that also made it quiet. If you stay here, be aware that there are two Marriott hotels adjoining each other (Courtyard and Residence) - take a close look to make sure you're in the right one!”

• Fire alarm went off at 7 am.

“The hotel was clean and neat. At 7am the fire alarm (accidentally) went off and we had to evacuate our room. Although this was annoying, the hotel staff did compensate all guests by providing the morning hot breakfast buffet ($8.95 value) FREE of charge. This was a great way to help us feel better about being roused out of bed in an unpleasant manner! Very friendly and helpful staff.”

“Over all for a 2.5 star hotel, it was very nice. I liked the free internet service - I can't seem to get that anywhere at any of the 3 star hotels. For business travel it was perfect.”

• My husband said he loved this hotel several times. He is hard to please.

“It was wonderful. If we stayed in Louisville again we would love to stay there every time. The location was ideal as we were going to Ohio, we love White Castles and it was a couple of miles up the road. The location was perfect. We couldn't have been happier in a 5 star.”

• The hot breakfast buffet wasn't very hot It was more like Luke warm.

“I purchased two rooms. One for my wife and me and one for my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. We were all thrilled with the quality and appearance of the rooms. The only thing we were disappointed in was the temperature of the breakfast buffet and we thought it was priced too high.”

“The hotel was fine, but it was not the original hotel I thought I was getting. I was sent to another hotel at the other end of town (I'm guessing they gave my room away because I arrived late). It put me farther away from my daughter's competition; therefore I was late getting there.”
