• Loved the view from the room and select comfort bed.
• Parking was horrendous and no fridge or area to get snacks.

“The parking at this hotel was very difficult for us. We had to park on the fifth floor of the parking garage then navigate our way through the garage to find an entrance to the hotel. I am 15 weeks pregnant and there was no good way for us to drop off bags at a location or to get to an entrance from our parking spot without taking a lot of steps with our luggage. There were no vending machines with snacks and there was no refrigerator for us to bring our own snacks. We were on the 14th floor so we had to leave the hotel to go find any small food items. There may have been a place in the hotel but it was under reconstruction so we didn't see any other available areas. The bed was very comfortable. It was a Select Comfort bed which worked nicely for setting our own comfort. We liked the room overall. The staff were very courteous and helpful.”

• Convenient to Rupp Arena.
• No AC, from 3am on till checkout, not able to shower or shave or do hair no electric.

“The hotel was nice but no comp given for the inconvenience of power outage, free breakfast would of been nice $20 max. We had no electricity from 3am on - no electric still after 9am when we checked out. No AC, no lights, no showers (needed lights to see), wife could not fix hair via curling iron. Had coffee maker but could not use, went to front where there were 7 dough nuts out of 4 boxes opened and no coffee and OJ left in containers. Was nice up until 3am when the fire alarms in the building started beeping due to outage. Did not use any amenities of the hotel.”

“The hotel is very well located. Soft goods are new and the public space is undergoing a significant refurbishing. Even though it is a convention hotel, I would consider again for business or leisure travel.”

“Really nice hotel in downtown Lexington. Room was comfortable, nicely furnished and spacious. Good bar/restaurant in lobby that attracts a decent crowd. Good amenities. Sets the bar for a 3 star hotel. Only one problem. The hotel is next to the basketball arena and on game day difficult to get in to the hotel. There was no warning by the hotel to prepare quests for the problem.”

• Convenient van service to airport.
• My room was not cleaned on the 1st day even though I left at 10 am.

“Was very surprised to return to my room at 10 pm after being gone all day to find it had not been cleaned. Front desk was responsive. Also there was no ice machine on my floor.”

• It had a Sleep Number bed - which was new to me.
• Getting to the Front Desk from the garage was awkward.

“I thought the overall comfort and cleanliness was good - the one thing that needs work is the signs from the parking garage to the front desk, we followed the signs and ended up in a service stairwell? But overall a pretty good hotel.”

• Rooms nice, but outdated in some areas.

“Great location & people were very nice. I got to my room with 2 queen beds, one of the beds was very old (really sank in the middle), and I couldn't use that bed. Overall, hotel was nice, but you could tell the hallways & rooms had not been updated in several years, especially compared to other hotels in the area.”

“I would recommend this hotel for friends or family to stay. Its location was perfect for being close to Rupp Arena and Downtown Lexington. The room was clean, neat and very comfortable. I thought it was great that they had the sleep number beds to try out! I always wondered if those were any good.”

“This hotel is conveniently located in Downtown Lexington, close to the u. Of Kentucky and Rupp arena. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is very nice and provides complimentary parking and in room wireless internet to its guests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and look forward to staying at the Radisson again in the future.”

• Parking was not easy, but appreciate that the cost of the garage was comps.

“Very unhappy with front desk assistance In terms of learning about wedding travel plans for this trip. There was supposed to be a bus transporting to and from hotel from wedding event locations and the front desk had no knowledge of this, unsure If this Is their fault or the hosts of the wedding though.”

“There was noise in the room next to me the first night I had to call about twice. Both nights of my stay I was awakened by the sounds of ambulances traveling by the hotel.”

• Computer System down at time of check in. Took a while to check in.

“I spent a weekend at the MGM in Vegas last month. Give me the Radisson in Lexington KY. Anytime. True southern hospitality still remains. Great service! Great food! Outstanding bar!”

“This hotel is in a great location. Near Rupp Arena and local restaurants. Also down the street from Lexington Opera House. The lobby and room were nice and clean. The hallway carpet needs to be replaced. My husband and I didn't care for the sleep number bed, but was told I could request a room without that next time. I would stay here again.”

• Did not feel comfortable level of security in parking garage. Lots of traffic noise.

“We booked for two nights, second evening arrived back at hotel to find we were locked out of our room. They had us as a no-show for the second night. We did not have clean towels or coffee supplies, and someone had entered our room while we were gone!”

• Very convenient to all downtown amenities. Directly across from Triangle Park. Excellent restaurants and clubs nearby.
• Sleep number bed not comfortable. One side did not hold air. The side that did was not comfortable either.

“I would definitely stay there again. Skywalk connected Rupp Arena, shopping, and excellent restaurants. Close to University of Kentucky. Safe area. Close to all amenities. Staff friendly and accommodating. Surroundings aesthetically pleasing.”

• The staff was genuinely concerned about the environment of our room being healthy for my toddler, upgrading us to concierge to have a nonsmoking room.
• The parking garage arrangement.

“My family and I spend the weekend at the Radisson while visiting Lexington to get my oldest daughter settled in her dorm at UK. The staff and everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way and we were so very pleasantly surprised! We have already recommended the Radisson to several of my daughters classmates parents as we all will make many trips to Lexington for events at UK.”

• Sleep comfort bed is like sleeping on an air mattress.

“I was so thrilled to stay downtown at the Radisson. Great view of Triangle Park. The room however was crusty to say the least. I was put in a handicapped smoking room. Carpet looked like it hadn't changed in 20 years, had better looking carpet in my dorm. Bathroom was old, air conditioner didn't work well, and the beds were horrible. If you don't like an air mattress you will not like the sleep comfort bed. Overall very disappointed with hotel.”

• Elegantly furnished, spacious room with free internet access.
• There is too little light in the room near the beds, and it is too dim for night reading.

“Conveniently located in downtown Lexington, the Radisson has spacious, elegantly furnished rooms, as well as friendly and helpful personnel. The sizeable indoor pool is on the third floor in a spacious fitness center, with whirlpool and fitness machines but no sauna as the website claimed. The five-story parking deck is conveniently located and parking is free, though it was full a couple of times during the day. The mattresses are adjustable by sleep number for level of firmness--an excellent amenity--and the bathrooms are spacious and very clean. The only problem we found was that the lighting between the beds (and in the room as a whole) tends to be dim, and the lamp is placed between the beds, making it difficult if not impossible to read after dark. Direct lighting over the bed headboards would be much better.”

“Great location, however, we had trouble getting back to the parking garage on Saturday night, august 11 2007 due to some streets being closed for a marathon. Room was nice & comfortable, bar was nice & convenient. However, per the clerk at check in, the only room available was a smoking room.”

• Convenient location, luxurious, great atmosphere and comfortable room.
• We had to accept a smoking room rather than non-smoking (the room was still pleasant).

“No negative comments. We would rather have had a non-smoking room but for the price we could definitely live with smoking. The room was still clean and did not have a strong odor from the smoke. The staff offered to put an air purifier in the room should we request one. The roads around the hotel were blocked for a few hours because of a 5 k race but since we were participating in the race it did not bother us. For other travelers it may have been an inconvenience. A very pleasant experience.”

• Easy to find, nice location, and free parking.
• Room service was late for breakfast, but meal was complimentary.

“Located in downtown Lexington, KY, the Radisson was close to numerous restaurants and a shopping area. Adjacent to the UK basketball arena. Staff was friendly. Room Service was 15 minutes late with breakfast, but game us the meal for free as a result. I would stay here again the next time I am in Lexington.”

• The wait for check in/not appropriately staffed

“The Hotel was "ok for the money spent" however I have stayed in much nicer Radisson's. Unfortunately, I also spent more money for the stay. The worst thing about our stay was that the toilet would not flush and I called the front desk 3 different times with no response.”
