• Presentation was lovely.
• No hot pot for our tea. We sure missed this feature.

• Very comfortable beds and linens. Helpful staff and a quiet location.
• Doors to bathroom don't shut all the way. In room movies are very expensive, no DVD players.

“Nice hotel. Very clean, and a comfortable room. Nice toiletries. Bathrooms seem a bit dated. Good showerheads and water pressure. Very quiet even though our room was near an elevator and there was a wedding happening in the lobby.”

• Decorating, cleanliness, friendliness.
• No pool, bad soundproofing, hard to find using GPS.

“This hotel is wonderful for a business trip or romantic getaway. It is beautifully decorated, very clean and the staff was very friendly. We were traveling on business but had an 18 month old baby with us and the hotel was not family friendly. Luckily we didn't have anyone staying in the rooms next to us as the walls were very thin and they would have been bothered by the noise. The restaurant looked great but not appropriate for small children. The lack of a pool was also a disappointment.”

• Helpful staff, nice amenities, lovely ambiance, and easy access to airport.
• Very slow service in the bar. They did not have enough help.

“Lovely hotel with super professional and friendly staff. Wonderful atmosphere with many wonderful little touches. When I called for my wake-up call they asked if I would like hot coffee brought up after the call. Such a nice touch. The only thing they could improve on is their bar service. They don't seem to have enough help there and it is so slow!”

“I really did not have a chance to look things over. I got to the hotel at 7pm went to bed at 8:30pm and left at 5am to make my flight home. They make very good coffee!”

• Service was outstanding! Rooms were excellent! Food was marvelous!
• Breakfast is not served all day. The noise on the other side of the wall can be a bit loud.

“This is a magnificent hotel. The staff is simply awesome, the room is spacious, clean and we can not wait to go back!”

• The staff was not friendly, but the hotel itself was nice.

“The staff was kind of rude and not friendly at all. This hotel is not a good place to stay if you have children in your group. This hotel is geared towards business travelers ONLY. No pool. No wireless (it cost $7.99 for one day of service!)”

• We loved everything, from the friendly greating we recieved upon arrival , to the lovely room and friendly personal at checkout. Loved it.

“ My son and I stayed over night in order to catch an early flight the following morning. It exceeded both of our expectations. The rooms were very nice with lots of extra touches that made it feel a little more than "just a hotel room".

• It was very attractive, comfortable and friendly.
• No shuttle service from the airport.

“There is nothing more that I can add as everything was above our expectation. We were disappointed that there was no shuttle service to and from the airport which made our stay quite a little more expensive.”

• Everything from the food to the room was wonderful.
• I did not like that the hotel only had one entrance.

“The hotel was beautiful. The room was spacious and clean. It had the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. The room service was delicious. The staff was helpful and extremely friendly. This was one of the most pleasant hotel experiences that my family has ever had.”

• The bathroom in my room was great. Very nice shower.
• The hotel bar was overpriced and lacked proper seating.

“If you're looking for a hotel in the South Minneapolis/Bloomington area with a lot of snob appeal, then this hotel is for you. I was under dressed upon arrival and they let two better dressed customers cut in front of me during check-in. Being a middle class person, I learned that when you dress up in a hotel like this, you'll be treated with more respect. The cable TV network is poor. Even the bar couldn't carry the local Twins game. We had to walk to a local bar down the road to watch that. The building itself is nice to look at, and we had an overall good time staying here.”

• It was beautiful, and luxurious. Wonderful place!
• There was no fridge or microwave.

“This was the most comfortable stay in a hotel I have ever been, save the Emily Morgan. I returned from a resort in Mexico and found that this hotel put the resort to shame! It is beautiful, comfortable (down beds!) and has large screen TV's in the rooms. Also, the food is out of this world! I will be back!”

• Comfortable and clean. Noise level between rooms is very low.

“Excellent overall. Bedding was clean and comfortable. I appreciate the nightly bed turning. Staff was friendly and professional. No personal safety concern. No rattling of pipes whenever someone else in the next room uses the washroom which is a pet peeve with me.”

  am and throughout the night. Not able to sleep.

“Always an excellent hotel. Service is impeccable. Usually noise is not an issue. One group can make all the difference, though. We had a group that continued with loud talking
all night long. We could hear them through the vents.”

• It was very clean.
• Needs to be updated. This hotel was a great hotel 20 years ago but it doesn't look like it's been updated since. Very disappointed.
  

“The interior appeared to be nice however it didn't give me the feeling that it was a luxury hotel. Just a basic nice hotel with no real luxurious feel. I got the key to my room which was on the 3rd floor overlooking the courtyard. The noise from the courtyard kept me up all night long. When I entered the room I felt as if I had gone back in time to 1984. It now only appears to appeal to the 65 and older crowd.

• Very courteous, responsive and helpful staff. Large, elegant rooms. Superb beds.
• No coffee pot in the room. No courtesy coffee service in the lobby.

“This was our first stay in a Sofitel, and it was delightful. The beds were a special treat. The down-filled duvet, pillows, and a pillow-topped mattress provided the centerpiece for the wrap-around luxury we experienced from the moment we walked in the door. Elegant furnishings. Attentive staff. Superb ambiance. The only tiny wrinkle was the somewhat odd location off of the frontage road of a peculiar clover-leaf in Minneapolis. But it was well worth the extra effort it took to get there.”

• Room is not very well secure.

“The hotel is very clean with a professional and helpful staff, ranging from the concierge to the room service. The room itself is comfortable with plush bedding, useful working desk with accessible electrical outlets. Where it lacks, however, is security. There is no deadbolt on the door, and the chain lock was put on backwards (so when the door is open, the chain can fall out). There is also no in-room fridge or microwave, as they expect you utilize their room service. Fine if you're on a company trip and can expense everything, not so fine if you're on your own budget.”

• Very comfortable beds.
• Hotel charged for internet access, business center PCs kept crashing, no shuttle to airport, mall.

“This was generally an attractive hotel, with excellent beds and attractive rooms and public spaces. If you do not have a car, please be aware that the hotel is not easily accessible by public transportation, and does not provide shuttle service to the airport or the Mall of America, (despite the relative close proximity in both cases). Despite it's alleged 4 star status, the hotel charges for in-room internet access and has a limited television channel selection.”

• The rooms were very nice. The location was nice. Quality was solid.
• Did not have a pool. Felt this should be a requirement for a 4 star hotel.

“I like the hotel for quality and value of the rooms. The 4 star hotel did not have a pool, thus not a great choice for younger families. The location was very good for shopping. Good value for the money.”

• Did not provide airport shuttle or shuttle to Mall of America. 1st floor room next to parking lot.

“This hotel meets the absolute border to be considered Mall of America locale. Disappointed there was no hotel shuttle service. And we were on the first floor, where we had to take an elevator down. The view as the parking lot outside my window.”

• When staying at the Soffet, you are the only one they are taking care of, at least that is how they make you feel.
• We didn't get music with our bed turn down.

“When staying with the hotel you will be treated as everyone no matter what you paid for the room, enjoy the fabulous restaurant's, cafe, & gift shop! If you happen to see a maid you are in for a treat because I think they are invisible! The exercise room is also a treat, you will need to use it after the great meals & desserts!”

• The lobby is impressive and the room is comfortable.
• The bathroom lights have to be turned on from outside the bathroom and the doors are not meant to close completely.

“I would not consider this an airport hotel as it is not as close to the airport as many and has just a couple of fast food places near it. Also, there is not a coffee maker in the room. You need a car to stay here if you are planning to visit the Twin Cities. However, the building and rooms are attractive.”
