• My children had the pool all to themselves.
• The blankets were folded in a drawer and had what appeared to be cracker jacks or Carmel popcorn on them.

“The hotel staff was friendly, the restaurant staff and food was wonderful. If it wasn't for the food in the blankets it would have been great. We will go back again sometime but we'll bring our own blankets.”

• The front desk was helpful. The housekeeper was friendly.
• The wallpaper was coming loose front the wall and ceiling.

“This was a good choice for our family as we have family in the area and we had activities planned with them throughout the weekend. We used the outdoor pool many times. The breakfast at the restaurant was very good and the service was also good. It was a nice labor day holiday.”

• Staff was very helpful. Nice pool.
• Noisy on 2nd night (of 2 night stay).

“Not fancy, but comfortable. Clean, but could use some additional maintenance. Nice pools. Staff members was very helpful. Desk clerk even did a web search for me to find the phone number of someone in a nearby town. Restaurant was very nice. Good breakfast buffet offered on Sunday morning, for $5. Hotel offered free breakfast, or $3 off anything on the menu.”

• The breakfast included was great!
• Pealing ceiling paint in shower.

“Good value for the money, clean and maintained, not the newest but overall a good place to stay. Be sure to eat at the attached restaurant it was a pleasant surprise.”

• Thru the wall heating/ac unit was quieter than most.
• Float valve in toilet stuck and had to be set by hand.

“All in all it was comfortable, clean, quiet and inexpensive. Good accommodations for our all day, next day fishing trip.”

“It met all my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the restaurant served a nice breakfast and was very charming. Location was great for me. Right off the interstate and close to downtown St. Joseph.”

• Convince to wedding location, fairly reasonable price.
• Sort of run-down and old looking, plain rooms, small pool.

“Motel appeared old and a bit run-down. Nothing very fancy. Fireside Inn Restaurant had a great Sunday brunch. Good complimentary breakfasts. Pretty good value when you add this in to the hotel price.”
