• I like the location near the capital.
• Door locked to Lansing Center, $10 for parking overnight customers, cold swimming pool.

“All the Raddisons are the same, even McDonald's has personality. Why Raddison and Hilton have no continental breakfast, and yet Marriott which is just as nice gives you at least a place to put your own food. People are so busy they hardly have time to be real with people. They are polite, but in a formal way, as though fulfilling their job. Some are worse than others. I've met some very pleasant. People are detered not to swim because of the cold pool. Money seems to be the factor to which you cater. I see people having wedding receptions. They were nice, but what about the people who finance the hotel.”

• Staff was friendly.
• Parking, not convenient, felt obligated to tip generously every time we came back & forth.

“Bathroom door was broken and would not shut all the way, beds were horribly uncomfortable. They were sleep number beds, however, double beds are too small to get comfort from a sleep number bed. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.”

• Very close to downtown area and ballpark.
• There was hair/mildew all over in our shower.

“Overall the stay was good, but when going to take a shower, I found hair (not mine!) all over in a shower that had supposedly been cleaned. The shower curtain had mildew and there was soap residue on the holder (which was supposedly clean). They couldn't lower our room rate and only offered us a free breakfast which we already had plans to go elsewhere. I would definitely think twice before staying here again unless necessary for work.”

• For star level rating of 3 this hotel was a complete disappointment.

• Front staff at night & in morning not very friendly, did not smile. Seemed friendlier to business type.

• There was lounge.

• Colin at the front desk was great - all staff is friendly/helpful by nature - even the gift shop people!

“Pretty much your only good choice in Lansing! I guess hotel was very bad before renovations. It's fabulous now. I work for an upscale hotel in Chicago - trust me when I say hotel is good. Just make sure your room is renovated otherwise - good luck!”

• Room was dark and unattractive, no free parking!

“I chose a smoking room, and for that reason, I understand the quality of the room is lesser than that of non-smoking. However, I found the room to be rather unattractive in appearance. Ice machine in common area was not working when I arrived, but was operating the following day. The cost to park varied from 7 to 11 dollars per day. Parking was only available in the city ramp adjacent to the hotel, but I would have liked to have had my parking validated by the hotel. Valet parking was available for a price of 10 dollars per day.”

• The valet parking attendants were very good.
• The room was run down and looked haggard, smelled musty.

“They charge you a 4-star hotel rate when it is not even worth a 2-star hotel rate. On top of it they charge you $10/day for valet parking or you can choose to pay for parking in public parking garage. No on site parking makes for a very inconvenient stay. The pool was ice cold and small we couldnt even swim in it. I do not recommend this hotel to any one. It was old and haggard looking.”

• Having to leave car with valet parking-had to keep bothering valet to get items out of car.

• On our first night the room was FREEZING! Second night was in diff room, much better!

“This hotel is a 3+ star. Very clean, accommodating. Food was quite good and reasonably priced. The "sleep number beds" are a welcome end to a long day.”

• The valet service is great, but would prefer being able to come and go and park myself.

“Very attractive and well kept. Conveniently located in downtown Lansing. Rooms are very comfortable. Did not have room service during my most recent stay, but in the past has been excellent. Highly recommend the Radisson in Lansing!”

“Scratchy bed spread, stiff sheets, colors from the 80's and old carpet. The location is downtown; the only hotel downtown Lansing that I know of, maybe that's how they get away with not updating the rooms.”

• It is a comfortable, beautiful hotel.
• You must use the valet for parking.

“I find the Radisson to be the most comfortable hotel in Lansing, MI. It is in the middle of downtown and walking distance to the Capital Building, the River Walk and my favorite Lansing restaurant, the Knight Kap. My family is in Lansing, so I visit frequently.”

“Location, price and setting are all good. Room smelled musty throughout the one night stay. Used the ac, which was very effective at cooling the room, which isn't always the case. Room smelled before we began the ac so thought that was a problem separate from the ac.”

• Not much.
• Bathroom was filthy in first room, bug in second rooms bed, bed very uncomfortable.

“I would say for the money the hotel was a very cheap stay in Lansing. However, the rooms were very outdated and beds not comfortable at all. I am a little hard of hearing and I had a hard time many of the channels on the TV because the hotel had a limit on the volume for the TV, the staff came to my room and said that was as high as it would go in any room. First room's toilet had urine all over it. The second room had a little beetle of some sort in the bed when I pulled back the linens. All in all, I would not stay here again even though it was a cheap stay. The bed was just way too uncomfortable.”

• All of the staff was friendly and helpful.
• The rooms were more like convention economy than 3-star; there was wallpaper peeling and a loud air conditioner.

“I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to the leisure traveler who will be spending any time at all in the room. The hotel is in a great location for all of the attractions/shopping available in downtown Lansing. Also, the staff was fabulous. However, I would not recommend this hotel for the casual traveler.”

• Bed was very uncomfortable.

“This hotel offers a good experience. However, my wife and I found the Radisson sleep number bed to be very uncomfortable. No matter how we adjusted the setting, the bed was not comfortable to sleep on. We could also feel a metal bar running down the center of the bed.”

• The hotel staff was great fun, helpful and friendly.
• The capital restraint staff was rude and treated us as if we were a pain and holding up there day.

“First room had wallpaper peeling off walls, stains on the ceiling and carpet. The beds were very old with see trough sheets and a mattress pad that didn't cover the mattress. They were nice enough to give me a second room with a newer bed. Both rooms looked as if they had not been remodeled since the late 70's or early 80's.”

• It was clean.
• We thought it was going to be more of an upscale hotel.

“The Radisson was advertised as being more of an upscale hotel than we felt it was. The lobby was but the room we had was just a standard room. The decor was not something that you would walk in and say, 'Wow'. I hope the next time we go to Lansing we get the hotels we stayed at previously.”

• I was able to get several rooms at the hotel.
• The rooms were not all of the same quality.

“All of the rooms were not as clean as they should have been. We did not use all of the facilities available to us. They shouldn't have such a drastic difference in the quality of the rooms.”

• Rude Help, Terrible Food, Flies All Over The Restaurant And Bar Area.

“I only like to stay in place that I am made to feel at home. This was not one of them. A rude staff upon check-out and food that was only fit for an animal is an experience I will never forget. I will not repeat staying at a Radisson again.”

• Its very close to MSU and in the Downtown District.
• The rooms are small, no refrigerator of any size. The beds are full sizes with two small pillows and not comfortable at all.

“The room size and beds are similar to Motel 6. The beds are not comfortable. No refrigerator. The towels are much worn out. No free continental breakfast.”

“The Lansing Radisson was a well-located, nicely appointed hotel with a courteous staff. The pool and hot tub were simple, but nice and spotlessly maintained. They let us check in several hours early, and the noon checkout time allowed for a leisurely morning. Hotel restaurant was pricey for kids, but there were a sufficient number of other options nearby.”

• I never had to wait to check in or out, it is very quite & spacious.
• A choice to park your car you self or valet.

“I would recommend this hotel to all ages, honeymooners too. I was very happy when I was able to check in before 3-4pm ( it was about 1). I would like if they had microwaves in the rooms or a place were you my warm up left-over food or a cup of coffee.”

• The valet guys were great, they started with Mondell (sp) and continued on to Saturday morning. Nice job guys.
• Swimming pool water could have been slightly warmer.

• Lobby is attractive.
• Very uncomfortable beds, dead batteries in TV remote.

“We couldn't get the king bed we wanted, only 2 double beds, which were extremely uncomfortable. (Where are the sleep number beds they advertise?) The air conditioning was impossible to get right and the hallways were hot and humid. This hotel is on the decline and shouldn't have a 3 star rating.”
