  • The staff was especially helpful in two main areas and the restaurant was very good with food and staff.
  • The tub's drain was very slow and the HBO guide was not up to date.

“I liked the slight out of the way location of the hotel (just before reaching the hotel is an area with many, many hotels together). The bathroom was larger than many. The bed and bedding were nice and comfortable.”

  • Friendly, helpful staff; well-appointed room.
  • Although the bed coverings were new and stylish, the mattress seemed soft and old.

“A very nice hotel. The off-airport location in a business park is hard to find if you are driving. (In fact the entire airport area is a driver's nightmare. A dozen poorly marked roads defied even my expensive GPS.) The room was fine, and the staff very helpful. All in all, a very pleasant one-night visit, once the hotel was found!”

  • The friendly and courteous staff was very accommodating.
  • Unfortunately, every time that we have stayed in this hotel, our ventilation system continuously pumped chlorine smelling air into our room.

“We've stayed at this hotel several times and every time has been great. The linens are fresh. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The staff is always friendly. The only complaint we have is that the ventilation in the rooms is poor. When we come home, everything that we brought with us wreaks like chlorine. It all has to be washed even if it hasn't been worn.”

  • This hotel is poorly maintained and quickly becoming run down. This one is barely a 3 star.

“Location is okay if you only need an airport hotel. If you need to travel to central Philadelphia the hotel is not well located. I will definitely never use this hotel again. The star rating on this hotel is very, very wrong and misleading.”

  • Absolutely nothing positive to say.
  • Long walk from parking lot, not near anything of interest.

“Upon arriving the hotel shuttle buses had the entrance blocked with no apparent loading or unloading taking place. With bags in hand the automatic front doors were not working. As we approached the front desk with 3 employees doing nothing but talking together it took 30 seconds to be recognized. Back out to park the car and the parking lot was inconveniently laid out. The elevator worked and the room was okay. Just not what we have come to expect from a 4* hotel.”

  • We thought we'd like the indoor pool, location (near friends). My husband stayed there before.
  • No crib - they ran out? Guests left trays, trash in halls, not picked up till late morn. Indoor pool not clean. Breakfast just ok.

“It's an OK place, maybe even decent if you just stay in your room and you don't use the facility much. Very conveniently located near friends, and out of the way for a peaceful night's sleep. The room was alright enough, but they didn't have any more cribs? And, the indoor pool was really visibly dirty. (We didn't spend much time here, but I left disappointed.)”

“I'm a business traveler. My typical stays are at a Fairfield or a Hampton Inn, where both consistency and full amenities are provided at a single price. Everything beyond the room is nickel and dime. All ala carte selections, including internet access. Otherwise this is a nice property but the fleecing is getting old for a seasoned traveler.”

“I stayed at the Renaissance this past weekend and I had an excellent stay. Upon arrival to the airport, I called for a shuttle and it was there within five minutes. Lovely accommodations and great beds! The heater in my room was not heating properly and I called the front desk and they had maintenance there promptly. When they discovered it needed some repair, they immediately moved me to another room. The only negative was my service in the on-site restaurant. The hostess was very pleasant but my waitress never came to check on me therefore I couldn't leave a tip. But the breakfast buffet was great and the chef makes an outstanding omelet! Great staff, would stay here on my next trip to Philly.”

  • Broken sink and light in the bathroom. Broken TV Hotel Not Even Close to 4 Stars.

“I've stayed at 2 star hotels that were better than this! Hotel staff was Very Friendly. But rooms were so beat up. We had so many problems they tried to give some of our money back but could not because of prepayment. Just choose a different hotel Definitely Not Worth It! There are Much Better hotels in this area for half the price.”

  • The staff was amazing! I also loved the computer in Business Center that was just for electronic check in.
  • No wireless in the room. I had to use the lobby (which was quite cold) or the Business Center (decreased privacy).

  • The elevator was quick.
  • The bathroom tub tile had mildew/mold on it, plus missing grout.

“This hotel is an example of an owner trying to squeeze the last drop out of the grape before he replants. This hotel is dated. This hotel is not investing in room maintenance (Tub enclosure tile had mold/missing grout). No way is this a 4 star hotel, it barley has the qualities of a 2.5 star.”

“This is not a 4 star hotel and is below normal Radisson quality. Though the room was clean, it smelled of chlorine and mold. Room service meal was poorly made. No free internet either. I think the Marriott PHL Airport is a far better hotel. In fact, the Hilton PHL Airport is equivalent to this hotel and is cleaner with better service.”

“Beginning with my arrival/check-in to the airport Renaissance Hotel on Thursday 10 January 2008. I arrived and was greeted by 2 very professional men behind the front desk. After getting my reservation up and giving me my keys, the gentleman gave me cookies and a couple of bottles of soda for my children who were traveling with me. We went up to the room and began unpacking. My daughter went to hang her jacket up in the closet and found a bag. What she had found was a bag of used napkins/towels, etc. I immediately got my children out of the room and to the pool so they wouldn't find any other surprises. I'm glad I did because there was a lighter, a can of butane, and what looked like left over pot in the desk drawer. Additionally, there were little blue zip lock baggies about an inch square that were on the closet floor along with broken glass tubes that had smoke residue on it. These baggies had a whitish substance in them that looked like either a powder or very small crystals. The people at the front desk by the way were entirely professional throughout the experience so if there was one good thing about this ordeal I guess it was them. They moved me to another room upon hearing what had happened and appeared to be about as disturbed as I was with the situation. Needless to say the damage has been done. No more Philly Renaissance for me.”

  • Our suite was great for our weekend getaway! Front desk staff was very accommodating! The breakfast buffet was phenomenal!
  • The chlorine smell in our room was very strong due to it's connection to the pool. There could have been a better air filtration system.

“Our stay at the Renaissance was amazing! When we got there the front desk help that checked us in was very friendly and accommodating! He knew that we were out for a weekend getaway and upgraded us to a suite! The room was spotless! We dined in the breakfast buffet and it was the best we've ever had! Unfortunately, we had a problem with our toilet and it was fixed immediately! The staff there was the most accommodating and friendly that we've ever come in contact with! We would definitely go back there anytime we are in Philadelphia!”

  • Everything else, particularly the excessive humidity, mold, and mildew.

“This was the filthiest hotel I have stayed in, and I cannot believe that it is publicized as a 4 star. I would rank this a 2.5 at most, maybe a 3 star if you count the size and attempted branding of the lobby. This hotel was so covered in black mold, mildew, and humidity that my spouse and I had trouble breathing within 10 minutes of arriving, and spent most of the evening coughing and sneezing. The walls are paper thin, so we also heard our neighbor's coughing, urinating, phone calls, etc., all night. Our luggage got moist from the humidity, and the bed linens and towels were already damp when we got there. We had to keep the AC on all night to minimize the humidity. The bathroom didn't appear to be cleaned, with pubic hairs in our bath towel, hair and grime all over the floor and encrusting the faucets, etc. The sealing around the toilet was also damaged, and the bathtub/shower area was oddly dark when the curtain was pulled to take a shower. Lastly, when I got out of bed my arms, neck, and chest were covered in tiny, itchy red bumps that are still bothering me. Overall, I am shocked by the terrible quality of the hotel and upset that my spouse and I had to suffer the terrible air quality, skin irritants, and filth, the after-effects of which are still bothering us.”

“Great restaurant. Its staff was very professional and friendly. Excellent food. This hotel room wasn't up to par with the Marriott Airport's hotel and that's what I used to gauge this survey. If I could choose between the airport Marriott and this Renaissance Philadelphia Airport I'd choose the Airport Marriott strictly on the cleanliness of the room.”
