• The Safe was very friendly.
• It was under construction.

“I think this will be a great hotel when it is completed and very attractive to family since it has an indoor water park.”

• The beds were comfortable.
• The management and many staff was incredibly unprofessional and untrained.

“I was very disappointed with this hotel. I told the receptionist that I had pets and they would be kenneled and he said it was ok. When we returned the next day my key was turned off forcing me to go to the front desk where I was told by the manager that pets were not allowed. I told him I had been very up front about mine and was told it would be ok. He told me that I could not leave them unattended, had I been told that the night before I would have gladly taken them with us which I did the following day. The way that the situation was handled was so unprofessional the staff needs to be informed on what to do with situations like this, the management needs to check with a guest about issues before jumping to conclusions and locking them out of their room, the noise level in the hotel needs serious attention (i.e. doors slamming all night long, people running up and down hallways screaming, air horns being blown in the middle of the night, etc) and the staff that repeatedly approaching me asking if I had checked out yet or making comments about my pets. The management has some major work to do with training and learning how to handle guest issues professionally and effectively. As someone that has 5 years in Hospitality (hotel manager) I was not impressed.”

• Nothing.
• The hotel is no longer a holiday inn express.

“The hotel is not a holiday inn express and is currently under construction. No prominent signage exists and the main entrance for check-in is not clearly marked. The hotel, not being a Holiday Inn Express, promised a free continental breakfast which was not offered. The bathroom facilities in the room are very tight and do not allow movement easily.”

• Very clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere.
• Other guests were loud.

“A great hotel that is very close to Cedar Point. It is very clean, the staff very accommodating and friendly, the continental breakfast was great, and the room was very comfortable.”

• The staff was speedy to bring us toothbrushes. The breakfast was good.
• It was hard to find from the main road.

• Hot breakfast in the morning.
• Was under construction.

Hopefully, by the time this review is read, the construction will be completed at this hotel. I don't mean remodeling a few rooms construction, but all out building a new hotel construction. The entrance was close to impossible to find, the parking lot was tore up and nothing but mud and there was no where to park due to containers of materials and other things all along the hotel. Thankfully, I was only there for 2 nights due to business or I would have found somewhere else to stay.”

• Very friendly reception, very comfortable bed, nice breakfast bar.
• There was construction around the hotel - was hard to find and to get to the pool area.

“The reception was very friendly, we arrived late with small children and she allowed us to take some snacks from the breakfast bar in lobby. We had new pillow top beds that were very comfortable. I would return if I were in the area. Very happy with quality of hotel for rate paid.”

• The employees were great and fabulous.
• Had to go outside to get to pool.

“My 2 year old found a beer bottle under the bed. Also, going outside to the pool is crazy in the cold. My children are now ill from going in and out while swimming. The employees were awesome.”

• It was clean and the staff was helpful.
• If you want get in the pool you have to go to the other hotel.

“It was clean and staff helpfully but if you wanted to relax in the pool of play any game you had to go to other hotel and were a wrist band.”
