• The room was impeccable, the pool was fabulous.
• The pool was not heated, sheets were scratchy, had to pay to self park.

• Big rooms, parking is expensive.
• Poor housekeeping service.

“Positives: The room was big, the free internet access in the rooms was convenient. Negatives: The parking is expensive ($14/day), the housekeeping team did a poor job (i.e., towels were not replaced, bed sheets were dirty, 1/5 days they did not even clean our room, mugs that were left in the sink were not replaced and either left in the sink or turned over and placed in their original spots, had to call 3 times to get toilet paper).”

• I like the location. It was by the beach and it had Internet wireless and plug-ins for the room. It was clean and spacious.
• I liked everything except having to pay to park.

• The pool was amazing. Until we see dirt in the pool.
• Tile floor in room was slummy. One room didn't have a radio. The iron in another room didn't work.

“The overall hotel stay was okay. The pool and the view from the corner room help make this hotel stay good. However, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I've had 3.5 star hotels with nicer ambiance than this hotel.”

• Drive up entrance too congested with cars, narrow entry, paid parking.

“Loved the hotel, definitely will stay there again. Great rooms, spacious, nice mini-kitchen, and spacious bath. It's near beach, shopping, restaurants, I-95 highway. It's just very convenient.”

• The staff at the front desk were slow and not friendly and even abusive at times.

• The Crown Plaza has grown in the last couple of years to ultimate perfection
• Nothing I didn't like

“I have known this hotel since the inception when it was converted from a yxz hotel to the Crown Plaza. At first it was just in the conversion process probably opened a few months prematurely. Now its just perfect. The pool is outstanding with bar service and the beauty of the intracostal lining the pool area. Every aspect of the hotel has moved up several notches to the point that I like it much better than the so called "Resort" hotel just a few feet to the north of the Crown Plaza.”

• Good location, clean and friendly staff. Not a brand new hotel, but kept like brand new, across the ocean and we would love to return, nice balconies.
• Issue wit the valet parking, we wanted to do it ourselves and the attendant was a little harsh, plus we had a long trip, my husband did not like that.

“The rooms are fantastic, clean, across the ocean, heated pool and great Jacuzzi. I highly recommend this place. We never used the restaurant. Beautiful views from the balconies.”

• The room was large with balcony overlooking pool. Pool was large with a walk in entrance on inter coastal waterway.
• 14.95 safe charge.

“We stayed one night before cruise. It is a distance from the port but worth it. The room was clean and fresh.The grounds and pool great. Staff was helpful.”

• Outside area near pool, friendly bar, comfy bed, microwave, fridge.
• No table, dark area to make coffee, bad pull in to off load luggage, $12 parking.

“This was generally speaking a very nice hotel. The guy who greets you was not very friendly about allowing us to unload our luggage and then park. I did not expect a $12 parking fee. Other than that this was a better than average room. I missed a table and it had a dark area where you prepared the in room coffee- needed a light.”

• Comfort of the bed and bedding.
• Room was next to a room that controlled elevators and we heard and felt vibrations all night.

“The hotel itself was fine and the staff very friendly. Our room, however, was not near the elevators but rather next to a room that must have controlled the elevators and we heard noise and vibrations all night long. The relaxation CD that they had in the room help us get to sleep.”

• The sleep comfort bed and corner room.
• Missing hairdryer, dead light bulb, fridge wasn't working at first.

“Received an upgrade with my Priority card to a corner room. Room was spacious, bright, clean, nicely decorated. Bath had large, tiled shower; no tub, but I didn't miss it. Two balconies, one with chairs and table. Had some minor problems (missing hair dryer, light bulb out) that were corrected right away by gracious staff.”

“Good location if you are vacationing. Close to beach, dining and shops, plus a new casino is under construction in the area.
Transportation from the airport is not free and if driving you will pay a daily fee for parking, either self-parking or valet.”

“Extremely clean, the room was very stylish and up to date. The hotel offered a cd that helped you fall asleep which was nice. The personal products (ie: shampoo, conditioner etc) provided were also very high quality.”

• It was clean, inviting, and very romantic. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. It was wonderful!
• The tennis court could have been in better condition.

“The hotel is very well kept up - the beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are sparkling clean. The staff is available to wait on you and help you in anyway possible. The food was good. The swimming pool was wonderful and the beach was very accessible and lovely. We loved our stay, and would definitely go back.”

• There are no side entrances into this hotel, one has to enter and exit through the main lobby.
• Limited entrances, self parking unsafe.

• The concierge got my "Wedding" dress @ 9am & pressed and read for me by 11:30 am instead of the standard 7pm service!
• The front desk gave me a hard time when I asked to be upgraded one floor to be side by side with my fiancee the night before our wedding.

“This hotel is on a ocean drive (A1A) across the street from the beach, but sites on the intercostals in Hollywood, FL. The pool is awesome for adults as well as children. The fact that you have to pay to park your car with as much parking spaces as the hotel has is not so nice! The area is great (close to shops and restaurants) and safe. I would stay again!”

• Pool staff not very friendly.

“This Hotel exceeded our expectations, we were actually shocked to see how big and spacious the rooms were, the staff is superb I will recommend this hotel to everybody, very clean; you will not be disappointed. Very closed to everything, we will definitely come back over and over!”

• The ambience was awesome. the room was spacious and very beautiful. The bathroom was clean.
• Some of the chairs or beddings had unpleasant dried stains on them.

• Service, employees, hotel in general.

“Fire alarms went off twice asking us to vacate when there was no problem. My hotel door lock died and it took them 2 hours to fix it and it caused us to miss dinner reservations. No one seemed concerned enough to offer compensation. I had to insist they talk to someone that was empowered to final get us 2 drink coupons and comp us a dinner. Then our order was messed up and they didn't seem to care. Overall bad experience. We heard other guests complaining through out our stay as well. Even our food order at the pool was delayed due to some problem with other employees.”

• Paying for parking! $20 valet and $14 self park.

“My husband and I were very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were huge and well appointed. The location was great and close to everything we wanted. We felt the staff was helpful and very friendly when giving directions or suggestions of places to eat. We would stay there again and recommend it to our friends!”

• Parking too expensive and not close to anything.

“Very modern, remodeled room a plus, and very comfortable beds. Restaurant is just ok, the burger and conch chowder was the best. Friendly staff when I checked in. Parking is way too expensive and self park is in back of the hotel very near the 7-11 with no access other than walking to the front entrance.”

• Very much appreciated and enjoyed the good design, overall look, and cleanliness of the lobby and rooms, and the pool area.
• The restaurant at breakfast proved to be disappointing.

“Very good and comfortable place to stay. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. However, this may sound silly but, at breakfast in the restaurant, I wanted salt and pepper on my eggs and found the salt shaker empty not only at my own table but at two tables nearby as well. The wait staff didn't think to check the food at the buffet table. They'd forgotten to put out bacon that morning, and it wasn't until another customer spoke of it that they remembered. Then, they ran out of scrambled eggs but didn't no until a second customer brought this to their attention. Finally, the scrambled eggs were flavorless. They looked great but had no taste to them at all. I like my scrambled eggs in the morning. These were disappointing. I don't know how they did that. They didn't appear to be watered down. Even salt (when it was finally made available) and pepper couldn't bring out any flavor. The wait staff was very nice and attentive to customers, but not to the buffet table. It was odd.”

• The hotel was right next to the beach and that is what we were looking for.
• Our room was not cleaned properly. Our coffee pot was still full of old coffee and was not appealing to make any in it.

“This hotel is great if you are looking to go to the beach. It is just right across the street. If you do not like to walk the hotel pool is great also. Staff are really friendly. Would stay there if coming through again.”
