• Staff was very helpful.
• I called the hotel and they assured me I had two queen beds in the room and when I arrived they only had a king. They did send a roll away.

• Beautiful! Clean, and decor outstanding.
• Too warm in room, air conditioning controlled.

“Beautiful upscale resort! Decor outstanding. Bathroom beautiful. Outstanding service. Outside landscaping colorful. Very clean. Have shuttle that runs frequently to their sister resort Beach Front the Westin which is breathtaking. My only complaint is that the air conditioning was controlled by resort and was too warm. Even when I addressed this and they tried to adjust to the VIP settings it just never got that cool. Otherwise, was outstanding!”

• Very elegant yet comfortable setting and a fabulous bathroom fit for royalty!
• Everything about the Diplomat Country Club was fabulous, but our beach side meal at Splash was shockingly awful.

• Staff bent over backwards to very graciously serve us.
• $20 valet parking - but would've paid to self-park elsewhere, so ok!

“Great place - very posh. The staff was inordinately friendly, gracious, and helpful - even though we were there on a half-price rate! It was to-level quality across the board. We did not even use it for golf or the spa, but it was still a great getaway!”

• friendly staff. would always look at you and say something nice.
• I believe they charged $20 a day for parking. Seems unnecessary at this place. there is no parking garage.

“This is not only a beautiful resort, but the staff was very friendly. You would think this would be common sense for all businesses to follow, but it is amazing how few places realize that personal service is perhaps one of the most important factor when you decide to use a business again.excellent resort. one of the best we have stayed at.”

• Spacious, luxurious

“I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area. This would be a great place for golfers and tennis buffs. It was very comfortable and very quiet. The setting was beautiful.”

• The hotel was beautiful. We really enjoyed the golf course and the spa.
• The neighborhood surrounding the hotel leaves much to be desired.

“My wife and I had a great time at this hotel. The staff was excellent and the rooms were spotless. My wife loved the spa, while I enjoyed the beautiful golf course. A short, free shuttle ride to the Westin Diplomat allows you to see the Atlantic Ocean. We would definitely stay here again.”

• Hidden hotel tax/charge; no self-park and mandatory overpriced valet parking

“I am not happy that I wasn't alerted of the hotel tax/surcharge at check-in. The amount totaled $17 and it was ridiculous that this high amount was not included in the upfront bid fees. More importantly, the hotel did not offer self-parking and a ridiculous $20 fee for mandatory valet parking. A hotel should either offer free self-parking. If it doesn't have self-parking then the valet parking should be free or a reasonable $5 amount. I”

• Clean, quality property with great staff, nice golf course, good, easy location.
• Not much action. More of a country club than a hotel or resort.

“The Diplomat Country Club and Resort is located only 15 minutes from the FLL airport, 5 minutes to the Hollywood beach area. The rooms are beautiful, no crowds, great spa and workout area. Sauna, steam, hot tubs, pools, all surrounded by a first class golf course. Some of the employees learn your name and use it as you walk by. Very nice place. A little quiet at night, at least on the weekends. I'm told there's more action at night during the weekdays.”

• beautiful hotel with luxury amenities
• There are very few restaurant options available in the area after 10 PM

“I would consider this a destination resort rather than a hotel for just a night or two. It is absolutely beautiful but clearly is a golf resort rather than a family property. Be prepared to pay the 16. per night resort fee.”

• Very friendly and professional staff. Some of the best service I've had at a resort.
• Location is a little off the beaten path. Not much around it. Isolated.
