• There was a dirty apple core sitting on one of the night stands.

“We got in late and the people next to us came in at 2 am very drunk and noisy. They partied till 5am. The walls we very thin and we heard everything. We got up early and left.”

• The breakfast that they included was fresh, good variety and attractively displayed.
• Room we first checked into had an odd oder, possibly newly painted or need some ventilation. We were moved and the second room was fine.

“Upon entering the lobby it was very nicely decorated and inviting. They had a large screen TV with the current events being aired. Check in was easy and friendly. Room was equipped with coffee maker, microwave and small refrigerator.”

“Both my husband and I are light sleepers. We like this hotel because it is very quite and clean. There is a microwave and refrigerator in the room which are very convenient. It provides nice breakfast. Convenient location. Definitely worth the price.”

• The hotel was unappealing in every way except the lobby and parking. It smelled bad in the room, was next to some power generator.

“Poor accommodations - room smelled bad, power generator next to hotel and pool. Front desk staff gave us wrong directions to hotel.”

• The hotel had a good breakfast, good room cleaning, comfortable beds and a good location.
• The room I was in was a bit noisy at times.

“This hotel is in a convenient location, has good staff, and has an excellent free breakfast in the morning. The room had a microwave and refrigerator which were convenient. On the other hand some of the public areas were a bit worn down and needed cleaning and upgrading.”

• It is in an area we like to visit frequently.
• The staff was not helpful in resolving our noise complaint.

“Upon check-in, there were workmen and hotel staff moving furniture in and out of rooms in the lobby area and right in front of the only elevator (this is at peak check-in time). Our second night, we had some younger guests staying in the room above us that were quite noisy. We attempted to ask them to quiet down ourselves at 11:30pm as they carried on out on the balcony to no avail. At midnight we called the front desk to complain about the noise and were told that they would go to the door of the room and listen for noise. If they could hear any, they would return to the front desk and call the room to tell them a noise complaint had been called in. Otherwise, we could move from our room to another. We don't know what happened, but the noise continued until well after 1:00am. We will not return to this hotel.”

• Location.
• Ugly views.

“A great place to stay and the free hot breakfast makes it even better value. The only downside is that the hotel backs on to an electrical substation, so the breathtaking mountain views are compromised somewhat. However, this isn't a resort kind of hotel (although the pool is nice). It's an excellent choice if you're out and about all day and looking for somewhere clean, safe and comfortable to sleep with a terrific central location. Free internet, free safes at the front desk for your valuables and friendly, helpful staff. Really, what more could you want?”

• Excellent location, clean comfortable room, quiet, and great firm bed. Also best continental breakfast that we ever had!
• Nothing.

“This hotel was a winner! The location was near a main artery for the city and near good restaurants. Our room was next to the elevator and we never heard a sound. The room was clean with a beautiful view of palms and flowers. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The air conditioner was a little touchy but we learned how to work it. This was the firmest mattress that we've sleep on. One of the best hotel experiences we have had.”

• Balcony! The most comfortable bed Ive ever slept on. Free hot breakfast.
• Slow elevator. Small vanity around sink.

“The hotel was conveniently located, very clean, and had a pleasant staff. I liked having an exercise room onsite. The pool was a comfortable temperature and the hot tub was nice and hot. The beds had nice linens and were absolutely comfortable. The bathroom was large with the exception of the separate sink area, which I found to be quite tight. It was nice to have a balcony where we could step outside and get some fresh air. The a/c worked great. The free hot breakfast was a real treat. Many restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. .”

• Toilets always backed up. Plumbing is messed up.
• Plumbing and the staff could of been friendlier. I called the front desk twice with no answer. Finally, walked down to tell them what I needed.

• Could use better sound insulation. Sink area is small.

“Nice, clean hotel at a moderate price. The sound insulation is not the best, but was still fairly quiet despite being right off Hwy 111. The sink area is very small and kind of dark, but the separate toilet and shower area are large, clean, and bright.”

“The best possible hotel/resort hands down in the La Quinta Area, closest possible spot to PGA West, best golf courses in the desert. Great food, amazing hot tubs, great showers, and a nice TV, what else can you ask for? Plus, the hotel staff was so friendly, made you want to tip them. La Quinta resort is awesome.”

• The staff was very nice, rate was great! No problem with check in/out.
• The room had a weird smell. We never addressed the issue to the hotel though.

“I had a very pleasant stay at my hotel. It was quiet, the staff was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was great and the room was spacious and clean. I will definitely book with them again when I go back!”

“I was impressed with the cleanliness & quality of the hotel for a Holiday Inn. The complementary continental breakfast was far better than any other hotel Ive stayed at. Aside from the thin walls, I was a great experience and Id definitely go back in the future.”

• Cleanliness of the room and bathroom floors; cleanliness of hallways and public areas; the door safety latch was broken; TV and remote was not working.

“We had visited this property last spring and the overall quality of the property seems to be lower than the last visit. The safety latch on the door was broken, the room floor and the bathroom floor were dirty, the hallway also seems to be not clean and looked worn out, the TV and remote was not working properly cannot change channel, we enjoyed the breakfast feature that was part of the room last year and that was one big reason we tried to get the same property. I don't mind to pay a bit more to receive a better quality service.”

“We were overall very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and had carts for us to use to bring in luggage. There was a nice continental breakfast in the morning. The rooms are getting dated though. Even though there is no smoking, both rooms we tried were very smoky smelling still. We were mostly pleased with our experience.”
