• The ocean view was great.
• The shower poll came unscrewed front the wall. Maintenace was not great.

“Liked the hotel, great location, good restaurant.The room was not very well maintained. The maid did not clean our room for the two days and nights we were there.”

• Parking lot clean.
• Broken toilet in room and lobby.

• The best thing about our stay at this hotel was the continental breakfast. It wasn't fancy, but met my kids hunger needs.
• The hotel was not clean, under the staircase up to the room was filthy! I can only imagine how everything else was taken care of!

“The hotel room is outdated and the staff was not as friendly as I would expect. I understand this isn't a 5 star hotel, but that shouldn't mean no customer service. When I walked in the lobby in the morning the clerk at the front desk didn't even acknowledge I walked in. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling and the tub didn't drain very well. The bed sheets felt like sandpaper and the room smelled. The only positive thing I can say about this was the continental breakfast. The hotel is in a good location.”

• Convenience of the location.
• Check out was 11:00. Late check out was 12:00pm. This was not good enough.

“It was great except for the check out time. I had a triathlon in the area and wanted to go back to the hotel to shower. This could not happen because of the check out time. I wish that late check out could have been extended to 1:00pm.”

• No one was available when I went to check out. It was very early in the morning.

“I was there to visit my son who is stationed at Camp Pendleton. The person who checked me in was very nice, and the room was clean and spacious. Overall stay was great.”

• 5 seconds from Camp Pendleton.
• Looks a little run down on the outside, but great rooms.

“The outside doesn't look so promising, but the inside of the rooms are huge and spacious. I had my spouse, a 5 year old and a baby. We all fit with a lot of extra room. No coffee maker in room and no computer in lobby, but we survived. They did have an ok continental breakfast. I would stay there again.”

• The ocean view.
• Railroad construction all 48 hours we were there tons of noise and lights.

“We upgraded to an ocean view and that was great. The rooms are dated. The railroad between the hotel and the ocean was worked on for the entire weekend and the hotel said it had been that way for months (loud and lighted all night). Day staff was pleasant, night staff was not. This motel caters to Marines.”

• Great view of ocean.
• The patio was not very private.

“Great view of the ocean for the price. The room was clean and it was nice to have a microwave and fridge. Walking distance to downtown Oceanside, with great restaurants all around. It is kind of an older place so the doors are really loud when they close.”

“It is a nice place to stay and we are going back. On the North side a great view of the Ocean. It is just off the freeway and easy to get in and out. It is an enjoyable hotel good breakfast.”

• No Balcony as the picture showed.

“The hotel is nice for a stop over to rest. But for a romantic get away it was not worth the price. The view of the ocean was nice but it also had construction work going on and you could see the Crane the Construction company was using.”

• The carpet was extremely dirty.

“We had a nice stay at the hotel, friendly staff, big room, comfortable bed, nice and quiet even though we were so close to the hotel's entrance and the freeway. The only thing we did not like was that the carpet was very, very dirty. We could not walk without our shoes on because socks and feet would get soiled.”

• The small balcony with a view of the beach and marina.
• The room was much smaller than I expected.

“This was our first visit to Oceanside and we did enjoy our stay. There was no coffee maker in the room so we had to use our own and we could also get coffee with the continental breakfast. The room was rather small and I think the picture on-line lead me to believe it was somewhat larger. However, we were comfortable and will probably return.”

• Convenient location.
• Had difficulties obtaining cold water temperatures from the sink and shower. Took a couple of steaming hot showers before the situation improved.

“The room was clean and spacious with a good view of the ocean. It was a convenient location close to Camp Pendleton and within walking distance to the beach and downtown Oceanside. Nice pool. The staff was attentive, taking care of a hot water problem and promptly delivering a roll-away as requested. The roll-away was an additional $10.00 a night. Boo!”

• The bathrooms were not clean.

“The view from the room was beautiful. We appreciated the amount of space in the room. You didn't feel cramped up. The food places in the area close early even during holiday weekend so plan to eat early or call for pizza.”

• Accommodating staff & good location.
• The carpet in the room needs to be replaced, room needs updating.

“Most of the staff spoke only Spanish, but tried to be helpful. The housekeeper does a good job cleaning what she has to work with. The room is very basic and really needs updating and new carpet. But if you aren't too picky, this motel is OK. I don't know if I would particularly choose to stay here again, price verses cleanliness and amenities. Also, they were working on the room next door and doing some construction work in back of my room, so it was pretty noisy the first couple of days.”

• Elevator doors closed way too quickly and door open button did not work well.

“It was very clean and nicely decorated. The pillows were thin in comparison to the quality of the mattress which was good.”
