• The location was convenient.
• Felt like a bate and switch situation.

“I guess it was my ignorance that by selecting a "Suites" Hotel that I would be assigned a "Suite" Instead of a alleged Queen in a closet. It was not satisfactory and I was charged $20 per night additional to get a Suite. I think that this brought the cost to exceed the
rate.”

• Great location and some good staff.
• Rather shabby, not that clean, some cranky staff.

“This well located hotel needs refurbishing and deep cleaning. Some staff need an attitude adjustment of sorts. Too bad management can't be improved a little. Shuttle service was not available when I needed a ride from the airport, which was a fairly large inconvenience that cost more than the night's lodging.”

• Room was clean and breakfast was better then I expected!
• Hot tub had too many chemicals, bleached my shorts and burned my eyes. Staff at front desk was slow to check in.

“This hotel was overall a nice place to stay. The rooms are very clean. The man at the front desk was very slow and unable to multitask resulting in a long line. Lobby and dinning area were very nice. The breakfast was very impressive.”

• Their breakfast hours are great, 6am to 10 am.

“I stay at this hotel every time I'm in town. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is friendly, there are plenty of restaurants, fast food or dine in, and shopping within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel for either a one night stay or an extended stay.”

• The location.
• It was full of bugs on lights outside and a few inside. Air-conditioning didn't work in first room.

“I would not recommend this hotel at this time. If they cleaned up the garbage in the common area, which was there for two days, got rid of the disgusting bugs on the lights and in the room, had the air-conditioning in the bedroom, instead of the suite at the entrance and provided customer service training to the day clerk on who didn't look up or smile, I may be able to recommend it. It didn't seem clean!”

• Great location. Some of the staff was very pleasant and helpful (not all). Good breakfast. Quiet room.
• Bathroom could have been cleaner. Some staff could have been more hospitable. Maid service was uneven.

“This hotel is in a great location and has delightful pool facilities. The rooms are quiet and pleasant, although the maid service is not always top notch. The breakfast self-service buffet is pretty good, all considered, although the staff can be very inhospitable. Public areas are clean. Overall, you'll like this place and I believe it's a good value.”

• The other stays I had a flat screen TV in bedroom. This time I just had a little TV on a stand.

• The closeness to Restaurants and stores and Downtown Tucsons.
• The bath tub was way too small for an older person and not roomy enough.

“All and all the hotel it really fitted my needs and accommodated my mother by giving her a downstairs room and staff was helpful and friendly.”

• Hotel was well managed and maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent value!
• Air conditioning was rather loud.

“Hotel was well managed and maintained. Staff was courteous and helpful. Although the hotel was rather old, the room and grounds were clean. Only two negatives: 1) when asked if they had hair spray, they didn't; and 2) air conditioner was rather loud. Overall, an excellent value!”

• We had a two room suite which provided us with an alternative to sitting on beds all the time.
• The continental breakfast was not much.

“When we arrived they had assigned us two rooms on the third floor. I explained that I had my 87 year old mother and asked if it was possible to change to the 1st floor. This was done with out any problem at all. Everyone was courteous and overall everything was well maintained.”

“I would stay at this hotel again. Pool was excellent. Putting green golf was a nice touch. Breakfast was good. Great free BBQ on Tuesday nights at the pool. Location is not so good, but safe.”

• Enjoyed suite with two TV's.
• Poor draining bath tub resulted in standing in water.

“Clean room with two televisions. Very good value for the money. Employees encountered behaved as though they wanted to be anywhere but where they were. Answers to questions were terse with no eye contact. Moral appeared to be very low.”

• Reception staff did not make me feel welcome. They could not find requested room and placed me in a smelly smoking room.

• They would not extend my stay for one more night at the same rate.

“We had a unique room since the door was on the bedroom side of the suite. The living room part was fine but not plush. The bathroom was very small. It had refrigerator micro WiFi and the location was great for our needs. The breakfast buffet was very good with waffles pancakes and sausage.”

• The room decor could have been better.

“The employees were very accommodating to everyone in our group, including room changes due to unforeseen events. Everyone in our group (5 rooms) was very pleased with the experience and had nothing but good things to say.”

• The shower was growing mold. ( A little bleach would stop that) The backs were off the remotes and the batteries exposed.

“The staff was excellent. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The televisions did not get many channels but we were not there to watch TV. The only thing I could complain about is the mold starting to grow in the shower and the remotes.”

• Location for direction we were traveling.
• Noisy, tub didn't drain, free breakfast was nice but they needed more help.

“Noise with other travelers coming and going made it difficult to sleep. The continental breakfast was decent the staff was slow to get to things and it was getting really dirty but if the gal had more help it probably wouldn't have been that way. The person that checked us in at the front desk was very friendly but neither he nor the person helping out were familiar with any family dining locations in the area.”

• Really out of the main travel route.

• I liked having a separate room to work in. The space of the room was very comfortable. The close proximity to parking was appreciated.
• The maid service was lacking. The beds weren't made, or the towels changed or the trash emptied until our third day.

“The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and the property well kept. The breakfast offered was quite adequate with ample options. The pool area was clean and very spacious. I will return soon.”

• I was delighted to get a suite, with a desk, phone, frig, & microwave in a separate room, for a great price.
• The housekeeping was a bit below par.

“This hotel's two-room suites make it excellent for those needing separate spaces for working/eating and sleeping. The property is near a major street intersection and in a busy business area, at the north edge of the city, quite a drive from a freeway. It was a long drive to my business events, but the low price and good accommodations made up for it. The pool and mini golf areas in the interior section are beautiful. My rooms, though, looked out only onto the hotel walkway and businesses next door. This would have prevented keeping the curtains open, except for separate sheer curtains that gave some privacy. The rooms have frig and microwave, and TV and phone in both rooms.”

• Outstanding value, incredibly clean rooms, very helpful and friendly staff.
• Wireless signals were a bit variable, causing a few time delays online.

“Country inn and suites in Tucson is the perfect example of this star rating: clean, 2-room minisuites with fridge and microwave. Rooms were quiet, pool and whirlpool clean. Check-in and out very efficient and breakfast buffet better than average.”

• Convenient location, near shopping/restaurants, safe area. Enjoyed strong water pressure in shower.
• Room had awkward layout, bad odor, blood on sheets, unclean carpets.

“I would not rate this hotel above 2 stars. Although we had a two room suite, the entry door opened directly onto the bedroom, next to the two double beds and the attached "living room" had only two chairs, insufficient for a family relaxing and watching TV or eating. The worst thing was an unclean odor that permeated the room, the heater vents had visible debris and even though we requested that it be cleaned out, it wasn't and there was fresh blood on one of the bed sheets. We reported all these problems to the front desk however never received an apology. We went to the front desk to get fresh sheets and put them on ourselves without a word of regret from the clerk. I would not stay here again.”

• A little too far out of city.

“Hotel, Courtyard and facilities are very well maintained and pleasant. Staff was helpful and courteous. Room was large and had separate sleeping and working areas. Slightly more utilitarian than romantic but very passable. Not much nearby for attractions but that's Tucson. Several restaurants and plazas nearby for necessities. All in all pretty good value.”

• The toilet made a loud whistling sound.

“The motel staff quickly answered my request for maintenance on the toilet. However, the first person did not fix it as he said he would. The second man fixed ours and the toilets in the surrounding rooms.”
