• It was very family friendly. While not on the beach, it was within a very short driving distance to the public beach at Sarasota key.
• We had some trouble with noise at night, but discovered in the morning that soccer teams were staying there. So that explains that.

“Hotel staff was very accommodating. Hotel is generally in a quiet, out of the way place. Good place for children. Economical hotel with about a 10 minute drive to a beautiful beach. Complimentary breakfast was pretty good.”

• Good location, clean, newer and quiet.
• Changed room for noisy AC, but new room was good. Coffee is brown hot water.

“For the traveler staying two or three nights, it's great, clean and in good order. Good for the kids with the pool, close to fabulous Siesta Key beach. Breakfast is easy and convenient with enough selection even if it's not high end. The free bottled water, popcorn and fruit were nice touches. A nice place to stay.”

• The hot tub was hot.
• You had to pay to watch television.

“Great atmosphere, free bottled water, fresh fruit, cookies and cappuccino in the lobby almost all day. Very nice staff and great facility.”

“My stay at the Siesta Key Holiday Inn Express was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The extra amenities offered were a very pleasant surprise and changed our stay from just staying at a hotel to really enjoying our week.”

• Location was prime; short drive to the beach.
• Nothing.

“Hotel was clean, staff was helpful and rooms were great. Beds were great and breakfast was tasty also. Location was great only a short drive to the beach. Great place to stay for a fun weekend at the beach. My wife and I will be going back for sure.”

• Hotel is very close to the beach and price is great.
• No walking distance to entertainment or shopping.

• Very helpful and friendly!
• Everything was great, the bed was not at comfy as everyone said. But good.

“We will definitely return, very family friendly. My kids really appreciated the free water bottles and fruit and popcorn. When we needed extra bedding they gave us no attitude and brought us extra. You can tell their goal was to make us happy. Pool and hot tub was very nice. Location was great too. Like 5 min from the siesta key beach and yet the hotel was on a easy intersection with all kinds of restaurants and shopping.”

• Great staff very helpful. Nice pool area.
• Small room, king room had a double bed.

“I should have gotten more for the money. The room was small and smelled of mildew. I expected better for 95.00 a day especially not being on one of the barrier islands. The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Check in was great and they were able to accommodate a late check out. Breakfast was good.”

• Workout room was closed for remodeling.

“This hotel is in a great location, ten minute walk from a great beach. The rooms were comfortable but showing signs of wear (fixtures/faucets were crooked). But the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.”

• Clean, friendly, very accommodating and surprised us with lots of little services like popcorn, morning paper, breakfast, and fruit readily available.
• Not as central to Downtown Sarasota as I would have liked.

• The hotel was very clean and neat. The beds were comfortable.
• To much noise, My complaint went didn't seem to matter. No compensation for the noise.

“I feel a traveler should be made aware of any renovation going on before they check in. I was awakened the next two days from the noise of a jackhammer. The following week was woken by the noise of beds being taken apart and workers whistling. I told the hotel clerk about my unhappiness but it didn't seem to matter to him.”

• The bedding was fabulous! Soft towels. Clean!
• The front desk staff was so-so, not overly helpful.

“I love Holiday Inn Express hotels. I always try to stay at one whenever I travel. Super soft bedding, lets you get a good night's sleep. Clean rooms.”

• Great shower! Towels and the bed were great.
• We have no complaints.

“Our stay here was outstanding and exceeded expectations. Nice clean room, comfortable king size bed, we have nothing negative to say about our stay. We'll be back next year for atomic holiday bazaar in Sarasota!”

• No bathroom towels, charged twice for room.

“Nice cheap hotel, close to siesta key. Rooms are quite nice, and I loved the sports bar next door. Downsides were no bath towels in room and that I got charged twice for the stay, when trying to resolve the issue the hotel did little to help. Still waiting to be reimbursed.”

• Location, room cleanliness with impressive bedding.
• TV reception wasn't good.

“Location was great! Close to main roads but set back far enough to still have quiet. Five min. drive to Siesta Key beach, which had plenty of public parking with local dining and night entertainment only a few minutes from there. Lots of chain restaurants and shopping all within walking distance from hotel. Also loved the look of the new fresh bedding! Would definitely stay there again.”

• The price is reasonable for Sarasota.
• Older hotel with room doors on exterior of building.

“This is a dated hotel. It is difficult to access from the main highway. The breakfast room is ridiculously crowded (we ate breakfast out. The rooms are clean. The elevator is unreliable (was out of order for several hours). It is convenient to Siesta Key and local dining.”

• Very clean, wonderful bed, nice location, beautiful pool, awesome landscaping and very close to beach.
• Bathroom was very small.

“We had a wonderful time; the hotel was beautiful, especially for the price. The room was very clean, and the bed looked spectacular. The bathroom was really tiny, but clean. We were also very close to the beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!”

“Location to siesta key and local restaurants is great! Recently change owners and it is obvious they intend to improve on a quality hotel. Will stay there again and will recommend it to anyone traveling to the area.”
