• Outstanding hotel from all angles.
• Can think of nothing that was dissatisfactory.

“Outstanding hotel in an excellent, neighborhood location on or near the U. of Delaware campus. Lobby, room, parking, rooms, bathroom, beds, all excellent. I would stay there again.”

• The room was very clean, they also had a local shuttle service.
• Some of the hotel staff was not very helpful and the restaurant was pretty terrible.

“Very clean, comfortable and safe hotel to stay in on business or if you need to get to University of Delaware. However, complaints or questions I had were sometimes answered quickly and politely and occasionally rudely with a hang-up. The hotel restaurant although a great perk, ended up being very sub-par. The pasta I ordered had approximately a bottle of olive oil in it and the other dishes were similarly greasy.”

“The hotel was extremely clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was very large as was my bathroom. The beds were also large and very comfortable. In ten years of travel throughout the eastern part of the United States, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The value was incredible.”

• I can say it was one of the best travel experiences we have had in regard to lodging.
• I have no negative comments.

“We are seniors and travel medium distances several times annually. This was one of the best experiences for my wife and me. Everything we needed was provided. Pool, dining, excellent rooms, great bathing room and Ares. It was great. Friendly staff ready if necessary to go the extra mile to assist.”

“For the price this is a fabulous hotel. I really enjoy staying here. My daughter got sick that evening and the hotel staff brought me up some medication in the middle of the night. Great job.”

• Good location!
• Very thin walls - could hear people talking in the hall and the elevator.

“Great hotel - very spacious rooms. My only negative feedback is that the walls are super thin. I could hear every word people said in the hall and I was near the elevator so I heard that as well. Location is great - seemed to be a lot of young kids and teenagers at the hotel.”

• It was inexpensive and clean.
• No internet in the room, although it will be changed from December.

“It was great to pay a lot less than normal for a room that you would normally pay a higher price. It was just fine. Staff friendly and rooms were a decent size and clean.”

“Excellent, welcoming, clean, beautiful, fresh, everything anyone could hope for. I had difficulty finding it, but it is probably accessible from some other roadway system-I am not familiar with the area. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again, given the opportunity.”

• Front desk staff was excellent.

“My plane from Seattle to Philadelphia was three hours late so I didn't get to the hotel until 10:30pm. All regular rooms were taken so they gave me a handicapped suite "hospital type" shower which doesn't really work for a bath girl. Not really the fault of the hotel. Everything else was perfect.”

• Very clean and new, staff was very helpful. Pool and spa. Convenient to university and town.
• Did not have room service for meals. On both occasions, the restaurant took an hour to prepare a hamburger or club sandwich.

“I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations We had a king size bed, and the hotel and the room were very clean. I was surprised to see a pool and spa and the workout machines were very up to date and clean. The restaurant was downstairs but there was no room service. It took a long time to get the food at the restaurant (1 hour for a sandwich or burger), but it was very well prepared food.”

“There were a few glitches during our stay (initially the front desk could not find a room for us, and there were dirty sheets bunched up in the sleep sofa), but the hotel staff strived to make things right. The hot breakfast buffet, though not included in the price of the room, was a definite plus. We also enjoyed using the fitness room, indoor pool, and spa ' all of which appeared to be clean and well-maintained. Because of the excellent service, we would stay here again despite some minor problems.”

• I like the staff the food and the friendly smiles you get when you walk into the hotel.
• No where to put your food in the room or to warm it up.

“This is my second year at this hotel in if I could return every year at the same time. Every year on July 14 and 15 I will be in Delaware I would try for the same hotel next year.”

• The hotel is so clean and comfortable. The staff is so nice! Breakfast is wonderful and a great value!
• Nothing.

“The hotel looks very new. The beds are super comfortable with feather-like bedding. The breakfast is very reasonably priced and wonderful! The pool and hot tub are great! There is a little snack shop area that is open 24/7 with microwave for guest's use. There is a computer in the lobby to log on if you don't have a laptop. There isn't anything that this hotel didn't have for us.”

• Wow! Accommodations far exceeded expectations. Great presentation, helpful staff. I could go on and on.
• Had just a little trouble finding the hotel, but that seems typical for Delaware.

“The room was impeccable, clean and odor free, comfortable mattresses, plenty of pillows and just all in all a wonderful place to stay. Would definitely enjoy staying again. Staff were polite and helpful, all areas of the hotel were spotless. The lobby/ lounge area was great.”

• My son is allergic to feathers. All your bedding and pillow are feathered. They did find us non feathered things but it was at first questionable

• Pretty out of the way, took a while to get there, and it is a bit remote.

“Hotel was very nice. It would be perfect it you are visiting the University of Delaware. If you are planning to travel though Delaware on I95, this hotel is quite a bit out of the way in the most NW corner of Newark, Delaware (MD state line is 2 blocks away on RT896). The hotel is only 3 years old and the inside looks brand new. Beware of massive construction that is taking place surrounding the hotel (three sides of the hotel). The lobby was nice and the food area seemed okay. We opted to dine outside of the hotel. If you have a conference at the University of Delaware or if you are visiting for other reasons, this would probably be the nicest hotel option in the area.”

“I had booked this for my sons; they were doing a trail marathon. I called hotel prior to their arrival and was assured that it would have two queen beds; my sons informed me it had one king and a pull out. With this I am not happy. The staff lied to me!”

• It was a beautiful facility, so clean, everyone exceptionally friendly.
• Not a thing.

“The staff was so friendly all the way down to the housekeeping staff. The facility is beautiful outside and inside. The food was good, I enjoyed the gym, don't swim but pool was nice. The room was gorgeous and the beds were so clean and inviting. I especially liked that the bed didn't have a spread but a duvet that is so much more sanitary than a spread that everyone uses. A friend that was to meet us at the hotel became lost and couldn't find her way to the hotel. She called the hotel and they sent someone to meet her and guide her back to the hotel. This was one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in. It is far superior to its rating. It is a teaching hotel for the university which may explain its excellence. We have always been pleased with any Marriott that we have stayed in. I hope you can pass along these comments to the hotel. It was one of the highlights of our visit.”
