• The hallways were outdated and made me think what was behind the door, but was surprised.

• Location, staff, and cleanliness were great.
• We were located on the 10th floor and it was still loud at night. We could hear the car engines.

“We loved the hotel location and staff. However, we would let them know that although we had an ocean view and were on the 10th floor; it was very loud at night. We could here the car and motorcycle engines from the main road all night. It was hard to fall asleep.”

• The pool was heated (a nice treat) and security was excellent.

• I was unhappy to find out that I had to pay $50 to park for the week $8 a day plus tax.

• Comfortable bed, great mini-kitchen, and prime location on the beach.
• Elevator and shower pipe noises could be heard all day and night.

“The room was comfortable (particularly the bed) and we had an up-to-date mini-bar/kitchen setting that included a nice refrigerator and microwave. Our balcony was small but provided a nice view. There was also an enormous flat screen television. The biggest negative I have about this room was we were located near to the elevator and you could hear it all night long as people rode up and down. Furthermore, I could hear the showers of our neighbors quite clearly as well. I am also not as bothered by external noises as some people, so I would recommend specifying a location if it does bother you.”

• Mediterranean architecture with a beautiful ocean view. Loved the flat screen TV and kitchenette.
• Ice machines and elevators are old; No hot tub.

“The hotel has lovely Mediterranean architecture. Most rooms have a balcony with a beautiful ocean view. Not to mention rooms with a large flat screen TV, kitchenette, and complimentary wireless. We liked the convenient and reasonable self-parking too.”

• Traffic was loud even late at night.

“Hotel was not 4 star to me, but it is clean and charming. It stand very close to the water. View from the room was so beautiful. There are not very many nice up scale hotel in Daytona beach, and this is one of the nicest one, seems like.”

• The outside of the hotel was very nice.
• Additional parking fee, unfriendly staff, unclean room.

“This was not in my opinion a 4 star resort. The staff was not helpful and seemed very unfriendly. The outside of the hotel was nice but the room was not. The bathroom was way too small and it was unclean. The street traffic was also very noisy. I am not likely to stay at this resort again.”

• Comfortable beds, nice rooms, friendly staff, on-site parking.
• No Jacuzzi. Room was not quiet.

“This is a very nice hotel but not quiet. We could hear street noise from our 10th floor room as well as hallway noise from the service entrance/exit. It has a nice beach and pool area but no Jacuzzi/hot tub. The exercise facility was adequate. Overall we had a nice stay, but I felt the hotel was overrated.”

“The hotel had me booked for two rooms on the same night instead of one room for two nights. The problem was solved that night but it took 50 mins to check-in at the desk because of this. Getting there at 12:30am and not being to check-in till 1:20am was not amusing.”

• We had a sick child, and the room service brought clean linens to us 3 times in the middle of the night, with a smile on there face.
• It wasnt free.

• The bar had a terrible, loud band playing all night, every night.

• Small bathroom. No counter space. Balcony slider did not lock.

“Overall, I thought the value was good. The best features of the hotel were the beautiful decor, the proximity to nightlife, proximity to the beach, and the large pool. The room was the least appealing feature of the hotel too small. The LCD TV was a nice feature. The elevators were too slow and old. The shower didn't drain well.”

• Very clean and people were very nice.
• Not a 4-star hotel by any means. Beds rock hard, fridge didnt work.

“I would rate this hotel/resort as a 3 star at best. Fridge didnt work, push bar for curtains was missing. The personnel were great and very friendly; room was very clean but small with twin queen beds. This hotel was like a high quality 2.5 star but nowhere near a 4 star.”

“The lobby of the Plaza Resort And Spa was great, unfortunately we didn't sleep in the lobby. The room was awful, there were wet spots on the floor and the couch looked like something from the 70's and that was probably the last time it was cleaned. The balcony was laughable, I've never seen such a small balcony.”

“Very noisy hotel. The materials are below par as we heard people in the halls and cars driving all night. Just because they call them selves a resort on the beach does not mean they are automatically 4 star. A 4 star hotel would have been built with better sound proofing materials.”

“This is the best deal on the beach. If you are going to the speedway it is only 15 minutes away. There are plenty of restaurants and clubs within walking distance. This is the 3rd time that my group has stayed here and it is never a disappointment.”

• The pool was great as were the hotel rooms and facilities. There was a laundry!
• It was located on a busy road that gets really loud. Bikers and party-goers.

“The Plaza is a great resort hotel on Daytona Beach. The rooms, staff and amenities are top notch. The adjoining beach and pool areas are gorgeous. Great place to spend a holiday!”

• Beautiful decor, safe, easy to find, clean.
• It was 2 blocks from a strip bar.

“This hotel was great overall. But it was 2 blocks from a strip bar. The location is nice that it is on the beach and near a Walgreens, and an I-hop and other food places if you want to walk to places for things. The room we got was nice, but not spacious like most 4 star standard rooms are. One thing that really stood out was the deadbolt was glued into the door so that it could not be used to secure the room. It was not good peace of mind for me. Also, our sliding glass door the balcony could not be sealed shut completely and I could hear the outdoors sounds and if someone really wanted to jump balconies and break in, they probably could. One thing that is not listed about this place is there is 8 dollar parking fee required upon check-in and they don't tell you if you use your safe you will pay 4.50 when you check out-this would be nice to know before you get in. The little surprise added expenses add up when you think you have finished paying for something you will have to get your wallet out again. On a lighter note, the room was beautifully decorated, clean, and had a wonderful view of the beach.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the plaza resort & spa in Daytona beach. The location is ideal & the view of the ocean incredible. Aside from the bathrooms being too small & the daily parking fee, all other elements were outstanding. Including free internet, service excellence, & cleanliness. We would definitely recommend this hotel; what a positive experience!”

“The plaza resort is a recent refurbished historical landmark in a great location in Daytona beach. Among other aging dowagers she stands out as a "step above" for the Atlantic Avenue crowd.”

• The pool was great, the hotel staff was very friendly, you would not have to get in your car once you got to the hotel if you chose to walk .
• The tax and parking fee was a bit extreme, when I got the quote I thought this should have included everything.

“I will be back to this location. It had everything and more for me and my husband. The staff was very friendly, the location could not have been better if you like the beach). I loved the place , the update on the hotel was worth the money they put into it. Can't wait until we come back.”

“This resort is excellent. I would definitely recommend it to others. The only bad thing is lack of parking and having to pay $7 a day to park. Great location, nice rooms, comfortable beds, plasma TV, great lounge and pool. Great view of the ocean and city with the ocean view room. Not a bad price for what you get.”

• Very clean, spacious, wish we could of stayed logger to enjoy it more.
• I felt I was given a bad room because I used it was overlooking the roof of the floor below and the hotel was not full.

• Beautiful view of the ocean, nice rooms, pretty lobby.
• Pool had dirty water, greasy black edges.

“I checked in at 6:00PM and the representative told me that there were no rooms cleaned that I would have to come back. Since it was already dinner time, I asked to speak to someone else and they were able to give me my specified ocean front room, as requested. The turned me back over to the first representative who then forgot to return my credit card and didn't activate my room key properly. We were inconvenienced by having to drag luggage from the parking deck, to the room and then back to the lobby because the key didn't work. That wasn't the best experience but the overall stay was nice.”
