“Hotel was in need of updating in the rooms, but the public spaces are nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful.” Dec 8, 2007 by
Unhappy from Haleyville, AL
“Our 1st night was a disaster, due to the house keepers. The room was already rented out, and we stepped out for awhile to come back & some of our things gone. The hotel management reimbursed us for the trouble, but the principle is their system.” Oct 28, 2007 by
Amy from Cookeville, TN
“This place was under construction and everything was a mess with no effort to make it appealing or convenient for guests. The front desk staff was rude, pathetic and completely clueless as to how to serve customers and was not accommodating at all. The room and the entire hotel was filthy. It just seemed that guests were an afterthought and in the way at this place.” Aug 17, 2007 by
Bob from Memphis, TN
“The hotel was undergoing a desperately needed renovation. Unfortunately, they had not made it to our rooms yet!” Aug 12, 2007 by
Gerry from Monroe, LA
“The staff was very rude. Our room did not have any towels so I called the front desk after I could not get anybody to pick up the phone in house keeping. They said "yeah, we got em' down here at the desk." (No, my typing is not wrong. That's the way they said it.) The floors were unclean. Their was hair still in the bathtub, and all over the floor. It was just nasty.” Aug 4, 2007 by
Gerry from Monroe, LA
“This was the most disgusting place I've ever had to stay. The staff was horrible. They seemed to be irritated if someone asks them a question. Not just me but to everyone. The rooms were nasty, very dirty. Someone was using our room not as a paying customer either. I don't know if they were homeless or if it was an employee's friend or what. It was disturbing. I saw him going to other doors in the hotel to see if any were open. I would not suggest anyone to stay here. I did not have any words with anyone. I was very cautious not to.” Jul 16, 2007 by
William from Pike Road, AL
“Hotel should not be 2.5 or even 2 stars. I think I may have stayed here 6 or 7 years ago and it was in much better shape but now it is awful. Dirty. Unsavory characters in the parking lot. Paid way too much for this Hotel.” Jul 6, 2007 by
Roland from Athens, AL
“The staff acted as if the did not care.” Dec 6, 2006 by
Stephanie from Columbia, TN
“Only true complaint was that the desk staff tried to charge me at check in and check out the next day for the room. I had to go through the trouble of explaining my prepaid room to them. Still not sure the charge will not show up on my credit card. They put me in a smoking room (ask for non-smoking) and as soon as I got off the elevator the smoke smell filled the hall - I believe the entire floor was smoking, it was an unpleasant stay.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 25, 2006 by

“We called and asked for a crib for our infant so we didn't have to travel one. They said no problem - in fact they had new ones for us. When we arrived at 2am the desk staff knew nothing about it and was annoyed with our request for one. Claimed that she had no knowledge of cribs available at that hotel. The end result is that we had to leave and find another hotel. We ended settling for a lesser hotel but the Holiday Inn was most accommodating with out infant and that was our primary concern. This experience has turned us off all Country Inn and Suites. Unfortunate.” 2 of 4 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
