Research User Reviews for Holiday Inn Express Pensacola Beach (1-1 of 1)

“A great location, very clean, great staff and great hotel. I was very surprised that a Holiday Inn Express could be so good. I had checked reviews before we went (end of Sept 2008) and was pleasantly surprised by other peoples excellent comments so stayed here and found it to be all that had been reviewed previously. Location: Perfect in that it was right on the beach front in a quieter location. The pier was a 10 min walk along the beach. We arrived and had dolphins and fish jumping around right off the hotel beach to greet us when we walked onto the balcony. Peg Leg Pete's, a great and very reasonably priced seafood restaurant was 1/2 a mile down the beach with many others a couple of minutes drive away. Service and staff: Excellent. Staff was really helpful and friendly with great service. They really seem to be proud of their charge. Happy to chat and advise us where to go. Good for children although we didn't have any with us this time. Has a small gym and, surprisingly, serves a free, hot breakfast (coffee, juices, various cakes and hot cinnamon muffins, bacon, omelets, biscuits and gravy). Not tremendous choice but this is free and as much as you want, very welcome when spending the day visiting the locale. I would recommend this hotel. I just wish there were cheap flights from the UK directly to Pensacola instead of making it necessary to make a 450 mile drive up from Orlando. It is too expensive to fly up for most people and passenger trains are, once again, too expensive and few and far between it would seem. Gulf Breeze is the next Key across towards Pensacola with all the usual shops, Publics etc. and then a 3 mile bridge over to Pensacola on the mainland, a 15 min drive away with all the usual big town attractions of Museums and Galleries etc. The National Naval Air Museum (about 25 minutes drive away) was my personal reason for the visit and this is the best one I have ever been in plus it's free. Well worth a visit whether you are interested in aeroplanes or not. Plenty for children to keep occupied whilst Dad does the 'man' thing - also I might add with an excellent diner containing all the paraphernalia from Cubi Point Officer's Club in the Philippines when it closed down. Brilliant.” Hotel Representatives:
