“Overall had a good experience, would recommend this hotel.” Apr 7, 2008 by
Joanne from Port Charlotte, FL
“Nice grounds and room, but the bed was the absolute hardest I have ever slept on at any hotel at any time. I do not think we will ever stay at a Radisson again because of this. A bad bed cancels out the other positive things!” Apr 5, 2008 by
Sandy from Oconomowoc, WI
“Bathroom had a bad odor.” Apr 4, 2008 by
Paul from Charleston Afb, SC
“Our family stayed for 3 nights. The beds were rock hard. You think, Radisson has Sleep Number beds and that is why we picked this hotel. The location is the only good thing about the hotel if you are going to Disney or Sea World. The staff was good at their job but not very friendly. The ad said the pool was heated, Not. The hot tub was almost as cold as the not heated pool. We did find the other hot tub on the backside of the pool with the slide.” Apr 4, 2008 by
Yasmin from Miami, FL
“There was an additional $11/night room charge. The room was slightly smaller than expected, and the beds were tiny but they were comfortable. I tried to move one night and almost fell out of it. One morning the power didn't work in the bathroom or entrance but staff fixed it in under 30 min. It's not a hotel I would call a 3-star from the room, but it is 3-star from its public areas. The room was a little musty, and slightly smaller than what a typical hotel room size is. If I was to categorize the room, I would give it a 2.5 at best.” Apr 4, 2008 by
Tiffany from Jacksonville, FL
“We loved the hotel, however they did tack on an additional $11 service fee each night we didn't like that!” Apr 4, 2008 by
Stanley from Irmo, SC
“This hotel has lots of Bells and whistles. It is very attractive, and it's in a great and perfect location. The whirlpools, pool, and water slide were great. This hotel is in the best location in all of Orlando. Everything is only a short distance away.” Apr 3, 2008 by
Pauline from Port St Lucie, FL
“Ideal location in town, but near to the Interstate. Easy for traveling to all the parks. Beautiful attended gardens and waterfall. Rooms are clean and spacious with comfortable beds, and attractive rattan furnishings. Staff was all pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!” Apr 3, 2008 by
Nicole from Tampa, FL
“The grounds were nice and well kept. The room was clean but smaller than it appeared in the pictures. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The pools and spas were maintained beautifully and the water slide was pretty cool. The hotel is in a prime location. Close to the theme parks, lots of restaurants, and shopping outlets. The only real problem was the parking because when we got in late we had to park on a totally opposite end of the hotel from where our room was and walk over, but I would definitely stay there again.” Apr 3, 2008 by
Andrea from Boca Raton, FL
“The hotel was okay.” Apr 3, 2008 by
James from Odessa, FL
“It was a long walk to the pool and to our room. I expect great from Radisson and this just OK.” Apr 3, 2008 by
Stacy from Palm Bay, FL
“The staff was nice. The rooms were clean with nice bed linens on the most uncomfortable bed ever. I was not happy with the surprise $11.00 resort fee per day for transportation to Disney and resort activities when we did not participate in either. Overall, nice place but will not stay there again due to complete discomfort during sleep.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Cindy from Largo, FL
“Probably harder on the hotel than I should be. It is a nice hotel but think the rooms need updating.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Julie from Winter Park, FL
“Never ever should this be called a hotel - It is a large motel. I would not stay the second night as the bed - although it did have a white down duvet - was hard as a rock - movie on demand (which we paid for and called about) was out of sync with the words and picture. I never felt safe in the parking lot - Not adequate signage - people standing outside of doors smoking and drinking beer - Advertised activity which you must pay for when you check in whether you want to is a true joke.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Thomas from Egg Harbor, NJ
“Liked the hotel would definitely recommend it to others, felt safe at all times.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Anthony from Northville, MI
“Although this Radisson is not the newest of hotel/resort properties, the friendly staff, renovations and upkeep (including beautiful landscaping with several waterfalls and pools strategically laid out throughout the complex) and location make it the perfect hotel to stay at if you are searching for something very close to, but not at Disney World.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Erin from Dover, DE
“This is a 2.5 star hotel masquerading as a 3 star because it is a 'resort.' They refused to keep me in the same room for all 5 nights. Most of the staff seemed new or illiterate in English, and therefore clueless and incompetent. I don't care what nation a staff member represents, I care that they do their jobs competently instead of having to run to the back to ask the manager questions 3 times during a simple check in process. After raising heck with the manager and paying to stay at a superior hotel for 2 days while still being billed (including the resort fee) for this one, most of the problems were corrected on my second and last day there (out of 5 days scheduled and paid for), even though it was a section under renovation that the hotel refused to give me initially. Those renovation issues were more acceptable to me than the stale smoke, cologne, nasty carpet freshener, cigarette burns, and mold in the first room which I was told I couldn't smoke in and would be billed a huge amount if I did.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Jenny from Jeromesville, OH
“We were scheduled to arrive on Saturday, March 22 very early - around 4 AM, so the reservation was actually for March 21. We were told twice when I called ahead that they would save our room for us since were checking in so late (around 4 AM on Saturday March 22).We arrived around 5:45 AM. My sister went in to check in and came back after about 20 minutes. They had lost our reservation. They said they had a large conference check in and they had lost five reservations. Ours was one of them. The front desk clerk didn't tell my sister what was going on when she checked in - he just called the manager. The manager told us to go to the Radisson Hotel Lake Buena Vista and they would house us for the night since that was our reservation. Clearly they had that wrong, too, since we had paid for two nights. He said we would have to come back that afternoon since they would only pay for a room at the other hotel for one night. We had a two year old with us and were not interested in moving. We explained we had just driven 18 hours. He offered to let us shower in a room a guest had just checked out of. He'd make sure we had clean towels. I'm not joking or exaggerating - he really said this. We said no way. He said we'd have to talk to the day manager about not having to move back to the Resort Celebration on the night of the 22nd.We arrived at the Radisson Hotel Lake Buena Vista only to find that the manager at Radisson Resort Orlando - Celebration hadn't even called ahead to make sure that Lake Buena Vista had rooms! He sent us with a letter to pay for one night. We were very unhappy, but the manager at Lake Buena Vista was fantastic! He set us up for one night and sent us up to the room since he understood we were exhausted from our long 18 hour drive from Ohio. About 15 minutes later, the manager at Lake Buena Vista called us in our room and told us he had taken care of the reservation from Radisson Resort Orlando Celebration and we would not have to move.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Samantha from Midlothian, VA
“Hotel is okay - but has no queen sized beds. Shuttle to parks is excellent.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Lea from Defiance, OH
“Very nice location of hotel by Disney and dining, with a relaxed atmosphere.” Mar 30, 2008 by
Vivian from Miami, FL
“Overall, we had a very pleasant experience staying at this hotel. It was clean and attractive as well as being very well situated. Although near the major Orlando theme parks, the setting amidst the tropical gardens made one feel "away from it all".” Mar 28, 2008 by
Matthew from Homestead, FL
“The hotel is very comfortable and close to Disney. My children enjoyed the pool and slide.” Mar 27, 2008 by
Paula from Tarpon Springs, FL
“It is a moderately priced, clean hotel. Good for a weekend trip with the family or an extended business stay. Nothing too fancy, but not run down either. The staff was very helpful, and seemed to care about our concerns. An unexpected surprise.” Mar 27, 2008 by
Jeff from Springfield, MO
“Relatively clean. Decent room for what we paid, but hard beds. We were focused on Universal Studios this year for spring break and the distance/traffic from hotel is not good. Plenty of closer hotels. Felt safe, friendly staff, nice pool and spa areas. Free wireless internet worked well (not available in all buildings). They did let us check-in a little early which we greatly appreciated. The $11/day recreation fee is silly and just a way to pad the revenue. If you're going to charge for it put it in the room rate and stop playing games.” Mar 27, 2008 by
Cynthia from Cary, NY
“All and all we had a great time. Here were no towel and face clothes 2 out of the 3 days but, housekeeping tried to accommodate.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Jerry from Clayton, NC
“Overall pleased with location and amenities. Would recommend.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Joe from Lake City, FL
“Location starting to show its age though it remains clean. Check in was very quick and easy; parking area is a LONG way from the entrance to the rooms (I was in building 4000).” Mar 25, 2008 by
Karen from Tampa, FL
“Once the staff moved us to a room off the first floor and away from the main entrance, the stay was wonderful. The hotel staff was very friendly and cooperative.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Jane from Putney, VT
“So big that it was impersonal. Not very clean, with cleaning staff in halls almost 24 hours. Extra charges were a surprise.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Leslie from Savannah, GA
“My family really enjoyed their stay at the Radisson. I would recommend this location to anyone traveling with children, but if you are looking for a high-end romantic get away you may want to look to another location.” Mar 24, 2008 by
Edward from Edwardsville, IL
“Location good, attractive grounds/facilities, room clean, beds good. 18% gratuity added, to pool-side bev. & service fee at $11.50/day very irritating & disappointing. Room small, main pool not heated-Mid/Late March & cant swim.” Mar 24, 2008 by
Matt from Novi, MI
“My wife and I had a great stay at the hotel. Everything was easy to do. We did have to pay $11 extra per night for services that we didn't use (ex: shuttle to Universal because it only went one time to in the morning and one time back in the evening). The stay was very nice!” Mar 24, 2008 by
Patty from W. Bloomfield, MI
“Lovely property.” Mar 22, 2008 by
Charles from Columbia, SC
“This hotel provided a good breakfast buffet and had both a heated and non-heated pool which the children enjoyed. The room could have been cleaner. Also, the bathrooms were too small!” Mar 21, 2008 by
Sue from Omaha, NE
“Handy location to Disney---a little dated although we had a sleep number king bed that was nice.” Mar 20, 2008 by
Nicolette from Savannah, GA
“It was great and close to a lot of local attractions and restaurants.” Mar 19, 2008 by
Sean from Kissimmee, FL
“Good luck finding a staff member that smiles, let alone speaks English. The staff is incredibly unhelpful. Our room had no pillows or towels and it took 3 hours for the staff to rectify. The employee at the quick service restaurant took my order, I paid and then he stared at me for a minute and said "what do you want?" I asked for my credit card back and he slid it across the counter on to the floor. Not a pleasant experience at all. I will never go back to this hotel. The only positive is that the hotel has sleep number beds.” Mar 19, 2008 by
Ellen from Eugene, OR
“Somewhat dated decor; free tram to Walt Disney World didn't run often enough to be convenient so we ended up driving ourselves and paying for parking instead. Comfortable bed. Internet and on demand TV didn't work the entire 3 days we were there.” Mar 18, 2008 by
Tammy from Warren, OH
“The hotel lobby was nice. The rooms were dirty and smelled like smoke. This was a poor quality hotel.” Mar 18, 2008 by
Stacey from San Diego, CA
“Nice hotel, would return. Nice pool with slide, waterfall, nice jacuzzi, heated pool. pizza hut downstairs, gift shop, diner, sports bar, restaurant, kids activities, and close by everything. Only thing is beds, are too close to each other, but very comfortable and clean. Loved the down pillows and comforters.” Mar 14, 2008 by
Regina from Cambridge GB
“Hotel was clean throughout; rooms on the large size did not feel penned in good value for money, close to main roads, quiet location, staff helpful.” Mar 13, 2008 by
Nicole from Valrico, FL
“Staff is nice, easy check in, over the phone check out. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, comfortable bedding, and adjustable bed mattress. Enjoyed the room very much.” Mar 12, 2008 by
George from Hutchinson Island, FL
“Older building / hotel that was redone. Select comfort beds were nice. Was OK for the money.” Mar 12, 2008 by
Harry from Surfside, FL
“Facilities are nice and location is excellent. I did not appreciate having to pay a daily service fee. Deli was convenient in the evenings. restaurants were not a great deal from a price standpoint.” Mar 9, 2008 by
Gary from Panama City Beach, FL
“The hotel was overall OK, the main complaint I had was the $12.00 a day service charge and service charge placed on meals at their restaurant.” Mar 6, 2008 by
Chris from Miami Beach, FL
“This was without doubt the worst room I have stayed in for the last ten years. I was lead to believe that it was separated with another area for children to sleep, it was not. The room looked old, torn carpet at the cloth set, the bathroom has a cracked sink, urine stains on the toilet bottom, rust in the shower, and rust on the door. As far as the sleep number beds, one barely worked, and the other didn't work at all. The filter in the air conditioning unit was filthy and looked as if it hadn't been replaced in years. The room we were given was on the second floor just above the walkway so the shaded had to be pulled all the time to prevent people looking in on us, so there was no view, not that there was a view with the shades open. Nothing to see at all. A great view of a parking lot. As far as dining, room service was ok, but the main restaurant of the complex, was average food at best, and although children eat for free, two adult breakfasts were nearly $40. Would have been much better off driving 2 miles down the road and eating at golden corral. Had a small refrigerator, but no microwave in the room. I would never stay at this hotel again. A room at the Econolodge would have been just as nice, and less money.” Mar 5, 2008 by
Neil from Oregon, IL
“Easy to get to, parking was close, security was good. The outdoor pool and relaxation areas were the highlight.” Mar 5, 2008 by
Seth from Weston, FL
“This was a nice hotel very convenient to Disney World. The bathrooms were small, but the rooms were fine. Nice pool area, although the main pool's heater wasn't working.” Mar 4, 2008 by
Cj from Riverview, FL
“The two main things that we did not like was that when we took our showers, the tub filled up and it took a very long time to drain out. The other thing was there was vomit by the elevator on the tile. It took a while for someone to clean it up. We found that rather disgusting. When there was something on the floor, the staff generally walked by and did not pick it up.” Mar 3, 2008 by
Korey from Sarasota, FL
“If you are going to stay here for rest. Dont stay here. The slamming of doors in rooms all around you will make you crazy. The walk to the room was about two or so miles so be ready to walk and then try to find your room in the maze. Youll understand what I mean. If you decide to stay at this hotel.” Hotel Representatives:
