  • The theme the activities, Breakfast buffet and staff. It was well suited for my granddaughter.
  • How far I had to walk to get ice.

“I felt this hotel was everything they stated it was. My granddaughter [who is 8] was drawn to the castle theme. We enjoyed all the activities they offered. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was really quite good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with family or business.”

  • Staff was accommodating, location was near highways.

“The facility is working hard to become a castle, and even if it is not there yet, the staff works hard to make you feel like royalty.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[9] • Location:[7]

  • Room was very nice, comfortable-great beds.
  • Hallways and elevator were dirty and marked up.

“It was okay, not as nice as other 3 star hotels-needed a facelift, esp. the hallways and elevator which looked dirty, needed to be vacuumed-would say it was a 2-2.5 hotel.”

  • Clean, convenient location, pretty landscaping, decor inside and out.
  • Front desk staff could have been more personable, bathroom door huge and in the way a lot.

“We were generally very satisfied with this Radisson Grey stone Castle and would stay at it again. Really nice breakfast buffet, very clean dining area, rooms very clean and very comfortable beds.”

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2
Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[5] • Location:[7]

  • My room was very quiet.
  • Overall the hotel was in poor state of repair.

“While not expensive this hotel is not worth the price. This hotel is not well kept up. The bathroom door in the room was difficult to close, which I suppose is a good thing due to the fact the door was permanently locked. The safe in the room did not function properly. The quality of the food was terrible at best. The scrambled eggs only slightly resembled something that may have come from a chicken. The overall lack of class of this hotel was most clearly displayed by the fact that the staff allowed guests to eat in the dining room without footwear. The Radisson company should be embarrassed to have their name on this facility.”

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9
Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Very clean and friendly staff. The food and atmosphere was outstanding.
  • The locks on the room doors (Not only ours) did not work properly. The commode was too low to the floor.

“The problem with the card key (not only our room). Outside of this small problem, the stay was very nice and comfortable. We were treated like family and felt at home with our accommodations. I will recommend this hotel/motel to anyone and will stay there the next time we are in Denver.”

“I am in a hotel ten nights or more a month and have seen a lot. This is a 2.5 hotel at the most. I was fine here but the hotel did not meet that standard.”

Aug 16, 2006 by Alex from Colorado Springs, CO
Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8
Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Clean. Free breakfast buffet.
  • Too hot in common areas. Very flat pillows.

“The hotel was clean and the staff courteous. Great complimentary breakfast buffet! Unfortunately management elects not to turn the A/C to a very cool setting in the corridors. Elevator malfunction on the night we stayed forcing us to use the even hotter stairway. Additionally the pillows were wafer thin. Room doors made of wood and showing their age. Not the most secure room doors.”

May 8, 2006 by Mike from Washington, DC
Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3
Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[7] • Location:[4]

  • Excellent breakfast; very quiet.
  • Sagging mattresses with very little support; stained bed sheets upon arrival.

“This hotel was originally a 3-star but from appearances, has not been a 3-star for the last decade. It does not appear to have been remodeled; I'd guess it was built in the 1980's. The mattresses were visibly sagging, likely from years of guests sitting on the edges. Upon arrival, one bed sheet was stained with what I hope was bleach. The wireless Internet was unavailable 2 out of 4 nights. The television remote sensor had been improperly installed on the side, so it would often not respond. On a positive note, an excellent complimentary breakfast was served each morning. The hotel was quiet, nearby to quite a few restaurants.”

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2
Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[6] • Location:[9]

  • Price included full breakfast which was above average.
  • The motif was "cheesy" and fell short of the expected quality of a 3 star.

“This hotel more accurately should be rated a 2 or 2 1/2 star.”

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[6] • Location:[10]

  • It was in a good location that looks great from the outside.
  • There was nothing distinctive on the inside of this castle. The elevator did not work one day and when it did it was scary (old, slow, etc)

“If you live in the North Denver area, it is quite something to tell your friends that you are taking your wife to a night at the Radisson Castle. Revel in their envy, because that is about where the joy stops. We found the inside to be just a hotel. There was nothing special in the check-in where it took quite some time to find a room. The room was just a room...nothing exceptional and the beds quite hard, but be sure to request a room on the first or second floor. The elevator worked at times and not at times. When it worked, it was painfully slow and you wondered if it was going to get you there. When it didn't, the stairs actually had an awful smell. The breakfast was great and on-the-house. Perhaps that, and the status of being at the "castle," is what would make this a 3 star hotel.”
