• A very nice looking place and the staff was very congenial and friendly to us.
• Getting off the street to the hotel was a puzzle but that's one for the city planners, I don't blame the hotel staff!

“I am very critical of the level of peace and quiet in a hotel and this Red Lion was totally quiet, we had such a peaceful night's rest in the quiet and the wonderfully comfortable bed. I am a cancer patient who has to travel for my treatment and that is why we stayed in Aurora.”

• Free airport transportation.
• No A/C in hall way of 10th floor and it was hot and muggy.

“This hotel is a favorite for visiting ball teams. We had very noisy neighbor for two nights!”

• Exceptionally beautiful.
• Location.

“The hotel was amazing. High quality linens and the bed was the best night sleep I have ever had at a hotel. The hotel itself was older, you could tell it in the fixtures and woodworking, but the details showed they care and the bath and body works soaps they provided made that worth the trip all by itself! Conveniently located.”

• It was an unexpected pleasure, the rooms were very clean and spacious. The location was great, withing 5-10 miles of shopping and restaurants.
• The restaurant in the hotel was dated, which reflected on the restaurant staff.

“I would recommend this hotel to everyone, the price was exceptional, the location was within 10 miles of shopping and restaurants. The rooms were very clean and quiet.”

“It is a little difficult to navigate the road to the hotel the first time but once there it is easier. Our hotel room was very clean. Parking was convenient and safe. This hotel caters to the business traveler. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub but they are seasonal. There is no continental breakfast. Not even coffee in the lobby. For a clean safe stay this hotel is worth the money.”

• The comfort of the rooms.

“I have stayed at this motel twice already it has easy access from the high way, malls and good food places are near by. It is one of the most beautiful sites that I have stayed at in a long time and one of the most comfortable stays that I have had.”

• The lobby, restaurant and staff.
• There were only two pillows per bed. Staff did bring more at our request. Hot tub was closed.

“It's a lovely hotel with a rich feel. The burgers in the bar area were excellent. The kids enjoyed eggs and bacon for breakfast. The bathroom seemed very clean, beds were comfortable and
grounds were beautiful.”

• Conveniently located right of I-225, also has a nice exercise room.
• The light switch plates are a textured plastic and as a result look dirty & grungy.

“This is an older property and as a result some of the fixtures could use updating. My room was clean and comfortable and everything worked as it should. I would say this hotel is a great value even at their standard rates.”

• The staff was very friendly and helpful.
• It is difficult to get to the hotel - it wasn't obvious which road in a maze of roads to take.

“The hotel has been recently purchased by a different hotel chain and is in need of renovation. In time, I think it will be an excellent hotel.”

• The rooms were comfortable.
• No free breakfast. We come to expect it.

“It was hard to get to, lots of zigzags to get to the driveway of the motel. We had to turn around, get back on the highway, turn around again and try 3 times before we figured out how to get off the highway and get to the hotel. Once I found it was easy. the rooms were great. the pool was just off the interstate with a highway traffic view from the pool. The bar was nice although I do not drink. Others were enjoying them selves there. I think it is great for business travelers. Probably not for the kids.”

• The lobby was beautiful. I loved the bath and body works shampoo and conditioner.
• It was a little hard to get to if you are not familiar with the area.

“The room was very nice. There was plenty of room. The shower was great. I was especially impressed to see soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner from bath and body works and not some cheap brand that smells funny. The lobby was beautiful.”

• The desk clerk was very nice.
• The red Lion Hotel put me in their worst room in the farthest corner.

“Ant in the bathroom, ugly bed spread, not enough towels, hole in wall to the outdoor, pillows were very dusty (I have dust allergy).”

• It took 2 hours to get to! Was a nightmare to find the right exit to it!

“Room was pretty clean, did need to be vacuumed better, was a lot of stuff left on floor that vacuum could have gotten up. Shower door was broken, hair on bath room floor, restaurant was great! Waiter too!”

• The comfort and cleanliness of the room, I really felt relaxed when I was there.
• The AC vent was positioned directly at the head of the bed. Cold air blowing directly in my face.

“The Red Lion Southeast was more of a weekend getaway for me and my wife. The room was clean and neat. When we did speak to any staff, they were kind and polite. We had a good time.”

• Comfort beds, restaurant food available late & complimentary wireless internet.
• One room key card malfunctioned. Got locked out around midnight, no id, young desk clerk seemed to be bothered.

“I have stayed here before many times. I generally have had a good experience. When I went for ice down the hall just before midnight, I came back with ice to find the room card key I took would not work. When I went downstairs to the front desk, a shift change had occurred. The sole desk clerk acted bothered when I explained my predicament. He seemed confused about what to do when he asked me for an ID, and I said "It's in the room with my wallet." He was rude and unprofessional, and if other desk folks acted that way I would not ever stay there.”

• The shower did not drain gross.The rooms were not that clean. They needed renovated.

“The hotel was just taken over, but the rooms should really have been renovated before they were sold. They are terrible rooms! Outdated and dirty. The shower did not drain either.”

• The front lobby looked nice.
• The rooms were old, motel 6 quality bedding, cigarette burn hole on bathroom counter, no replenish. of toiletries or towels, housekeeping was poor.

“I would never recommend this hotel. This hotel was dirty and awful. Definitely not a 3 star. i.e. One example would be our bedding. When we returned the bed had been made, the comforter was thrown up over our crumpled sheets. They had restocked our bathroom with only two towels, one washcloth. The bathroom was dirty. Overall we were not pleased at all.”

• Larger spacious rooms. the select comfort beds are great. the amenities, such as the in room coffee are a good idea.
• The wall mount A/C made so much noise, I couldn't run it at night.

• The lobby was great.
• The rooms were 1-2 star. Pillows and bed were poor quality. Small rooms. Really hard to find entrance.

“The lobby and the pool were the nicest part of the hotel. The lobby was huge and great to meet someone in and sit for drinks. The pool was outside, but very warm even on a cold day. The rest of the hotel was not that great. Instead of doing all the right turns you need to stay straight on the Van road. Otherwise you will go in endless circles. Seeing the hotel, but not being able to get to it. The rooms were also poor. Pillows looks flat and small, beds were older and out dated, bathrooms do not look like they have been redone since 1990s, and the room was small with no view. The work out center looked great, but needed to be oiled. Most machines were not smooth. The treadmills were the only thing that worked well. The hotel might be good for business travel, but not good for a vacation with family.”

• The Ice machine on my floor didn't work and a hotel rep. gave me wrong directions.

“Overall I liked my stay in this hotel. It was very convenient to shopping and restaurants. The location was a bit frustrating but a minor setback. One of the Reps gave me wrong directions to the Hotel which they should know very well. For the price I got the Hotel for it was well worth it. I would stay there again if necessary.”

• The clerk who checked us in was FANTASTIC! Friendly, helpful and fun to talk to without being smarmy.
• The halls were really hot and the elevator seemed really old and dirty.

• Great staff; nice, clean room; convenient location.
• Morning staff seemed really slow, but possibly due to training.

“The Red Lion Inn is absolutely huge and caters to every need - family, couples, business. Convenient dining, albeit pricy but worth it. New construction; clean rooms; huge, soft pillow top beds. Outdoor heated pool and hot tub; workout room; in-room internet access; and business center. Very professional and neat appearing hotel. Just off I-25 and the 225 By-pass, convenient to get to any location.”

• Outside appearance and public areas very attractive even classy.
• Hard to get in and out of, rooms large but run down.

“Beautiful exterior and interior public space, but that's where it stops. Bedding and furniture old and tired. Two cheap plastic glasses and paper coffee cups were all that was provided. Maybe it will get better with renovation, but no renovation can improve on its location. Nothing decent near hotel and even then you need to walk under freeways and across entrance and exit ramps to get anything. Many rooms could be very noisy because of Freeways.”

• The hotel did not inform us that the power in the hotel was out. We learned that from another patron while we were checking in.

“This hotel was very clean. We ordered room service twice. The food was average. The power was not working at the time of our stay. We were not informed of this problem when we checked in. We were told this information by another patron. The power problem was not remedied for several hours. For the price the hotel was a good buy.”

• Friendly staff, low cost and exercise room.
• Hard to get to, confusing streets. They had no hot water, different tower and room to take a shower.

“Red lion had just taken over this hotel. It needs a lot of repairs and updating. The hall ways to my room were very hot, even though my room was cool. The hot water heater's being out were a big problem and their was no offer for my inconvenience. Just pack up and go to a different room to shower. Overall, I expected a little more for a upscale 3 level. I have stayed there before and will most likely stay again.”

“This hotel was very nice for a mid level hotel! It was very difficult to get to off of I-25 in Aurora. There were some very quick turn offs that are easily missed if you're not in the correct lane. The hotel was very clean, quiet and the staff was very friendly and willing to help. Bell boy only seemed to be there during evening hours because I could not find one in the afternoons.”

• Beds were nice.
• Lots of minor maintenance issues through room and hotel.

“This facility, recently acquired by Red Lion from another hotel chain, is attractive, yet could benefit from a thorough inspection for deficiencies. It does not yet require a renovation; however there are many minor maintenance issues throughout that should be addressed immediately for a hotel of this star level to attract repeat customers. There should also be a guest entrance on the North side of the facility for that parking area.”
