  • Convenient to visit our relative, nice exercise room
  • We were suppose to have had the complimentary breakfast but was refused.

“We've stayed here twice. They would not matchroom rates our brother in law received. I believethat availability was there. It would have beenmore accomodating had they been more flexible.The hotel is nice though, clean.”

  • The area was nice and so was all of the staff.
  • The TV set was broken and phone was not working. I had to stay in a smoker room because they did not have a non smoking room available.

“I had an okay experience at this hotel except for the few problems. Broken TV and phone not working. A non smoking room was not available. Towels were not in on the second night. Had to go down to lobby and request them.”

  • Friendly, convenient to downtown Whittier and shops. Lots of parking. Ready to please.
  • Nothing.

“We held our 50th Wedding Anniversary at this hotel and the staff was wonderful and that is why we recommend our friends to stay here. It is like a home away from home. We had to extend our stay two more days with no problem. Our daughter and her husband also stayed.

  • It is very clean and comfortable. Personnel were friendly and helpful.

“The Radisson is a medium sized hotel with many amenities. Personnel are helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and well furnished. The TV selections and the restaurant leave something to be desired to. There are, however, numerous restaurants within walking distance.”

“Compared to other Radisson Hotels I have stayed in, this hotel did not meet standards. There was a concert scheduled and no provision was made parking - wise for the hotel guests. I was unable to make use of the valet service and had to park quite a distance and lug my own bag to check in. Very inconvenient and inconsiderate.”

  • Rickety elevators, poor workout room, very noisy in lobby.

“I had an overall good experience at this hotel. The hotel looks like it hasn't been renovated for about 5-10 years, so it isn't as nice as other Marriott's. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. Most of the machines in the tiny gym weren't working. Hotel offered a gym pass at the local gym a mile away, but provided no transportation to the location. The lobby and parking lot are busy on weekends, but the restaurant turns into a night club for the locals.”

  • The front desk staff was extremely helpful, they changed our room from one with two double beds to one with a king size bed.
  • The music from the lounge was quite loud.

“The staff was wonderfully helpful, they moved us to a different room and gave us free breakfast coupons. The bed was a sleep number bed, this was challenging to find the correct comfort level. The view from the room was nice but it also faced the lounge where the hotel had live music both nights. The music was quite loud, especially with the window open. The hot tub was broken, dirty and surrounded by caution tape.”

  • Very clean and accommodating amenities in rooms. Friendly staff and surprisingly caring. Great location to places of interest.
  • The club night at the hotel was chaotic. The public in attendance was laud and wreck less especially in the parking area: Not enough parking spaces.

  • The front desk staff and the gift shop staff had the friendliness of a them park resort. Above and beyond what was expected.
  • Room conditions, calking in bath ceiling in room, look of AC unit in room, the simple little fixer upper things.

  • Very friendly staff, clean rooms, prompt reply for items needed like extra towels, baby crib etc.
  • Restaurant not suitable for small children (2 years old), vending machines out of water and soda on every floor, ice not available on every floor.

  • Delivered a very great 20 year high school reunion environment.
  • Room 518 stuck closet door, punch hole in bathroom door, remote went missing from cleaning and WIFI didn't work.

“Room could have been slightly better maintained. Although the restaurant staff is great, the kitchen is incredibly slow. The facility and staff delivered an exception event for us and made 200 people happy.”

“Very crowded bar, dance floor, very loud. Window air condition unit did not work, On demand TV did not work, crowded parking lots, like a cheap hotel, bottles and trash on the floor and in the elevator. Pictures falling down in the elevator. Elevator door needs WD40. Beds very comfortable, very nice staff, good price.”

  • Very poor ventilation, bad smell in rooms, poor AC.

“Disappointing. Very poor ventilation, moldy smell and mold around the edges of the bathroom with a smell that wouldn't go away. Also the carpets, especially in the hallway were dusty at the edges. Also the beds, although touted as comfort by number, were uncomfortable. I will stay away from this chair for sure.”

  • I liked the professionalism of the hotel employees.
  • The air conditioning malfunctioned constantly and the parking was very limited.

“This hotel was overall a nice hotel but likely not a 3 star hotel in quality. It did have the usual essentials within each room that you should expect to see, but I was disappointed not to find a refrigerator and/or microwave within these rooms. The price was great and did reflect the quality received however. I was hoping for more since this was my wife and It's honeymoon but outside of the air conditioning not working well and the parking being limited and very hard to get into, it was a very nice hotel to stay at.”

  • Nice and comfortable sleep number bed.
  • Rooms need some cosmetic maintenance to achieve better appearance of cleanliness.

“I wouldn't rate this 3 star deluxe. The room is not as clean as I expect it to be though I wouldn't fault the housekeeping. The bathroom looks like a 1 or 2 star level motel. I had to argue for an hour to finally get a non-smoking room. Staff are friendly but doesn't appear to have much to offer, or are not empowered to resolve issues with guests.”

  • Thursday is club night with gangsters and no parking.

“The hotel was fine just never stay on Thursday nights. The place is packed with a line around the corner and no parking because they have a club down stairs. And there is nothing but gangsters and they will fight you over parking. We were told to park across the street and at 2:00 a.m. they would call us to move our car because that is when the night club closes.”

  • The lobby was attractive.
  • The spa was closed for reservations and the pool was more like a wading pool than one that one could swim in.

“The hotel was ok. The staff would only give us a smoking room when it was obvious that the rest of the hotel was not full. When we complained of the smell, we were moved to a handicap smoking room. That room was not as smoky smelling, but did have a musty odor. I felt we were treated as second class citizens.”

  • The hotel room smell bad, especially the bedding and pillow.

“When we went inside the room, the window was opened. The room smell musty. That may be the reason why the window was opened to get rid of the smell. The bedding, especially the pillow has smell. Since, it was late, I didn't request for another room.”

  • Housekeeping was exceptionally thorough.
  • TV only had a handful of cable channels and the set wasn't very large.

“It's what I expect in a 3-star hotel. It was used to be a Hilton and was undergoing renovation. The room had a few signs of wear (e.g. obsolete TV set, A/C not very powerful) but was adequate for my needs. Bed, bathroom, elevator, lobby, pool and spa were very nice. Check-in and check-out took a total of about 5 minutes. They put me in a room next to the elevator.”

  • Select comfort beds and location near downtown Whittier.
  • A little off beaten path.

“Radisson Whittier is in interesting location. Near downtown Whittier with lots of shop & restaurants. It is off the beaten path a little as not right off an expressway. Very friendly and helpful staff. They are trying to do a number of upgrades on the hotel so there was a little dust. Some places showed some age - which is why they are doing upgrades. Select comfort beds are nice touch.”

  • The air conditioner in my room did not work.

“I stayed at this hotel in the past and really enjoyed myself. Unfortunately this trip the air conditioner did not work in my room and no one came out to fix. Also the ice machine on my floor and the floors above me and below me did not work also. Room service was a little slow. My bed was not made till almost 03:00pm.”

  • The room is equipped with sleep number bed.
  • There is no refrigerator in the room and they only give bottled water on the 1st night.

“I stayed at the hotel for 5 days. Unfortunately, even though I wanted to have a king size bed-non smoking, they were all booked so I had to be satisfied with 2 double bed room. Stayed at the room for the first 3 nights before I can finally move to the King size bedroom. None of the room has refrigerator which I wish they have one. Overall, it's a decent hotel and just what you expect from the price.”

  • The hotel was clean and had updated furnishings and amenities. Excellent beds.
  • Loud music late into the night from the nightclub; there was marijuana smoking by the nightclub clientele in front of the hotel.

“The physical appearance of the hotel and the customer service were good. I could not believe that the Radisson would compromise their quality and reputation in order to run a nightclub adjacent to their hotel. Any time we came back to the hotel in the evening the parking lot was full. We had to walk through the people loitering in the parking lot; obvious customers of the nightclub. This was not acceptable for family of four with young children. They were cursing and smoking marijuana; we did report this to the front desk. They didn't seem surprised! There was absolutely no security outside the hotel nor in the parking lot; which noting full view of the hotel. I had to park late one night alone with my small son; walking back to the hotel we did not feel safe. They should at least have security! I will not recommend this hotel and be hesitant in the future to stay at a Radisson again.”

“The sleep number bed was horrible; I tossed and turned all night. I did not have a good night sleep. I woke up with a bad back ache. When first entered the room, it smelled like urine as if someone urinated all over the room. The bedding felt dirty, the carpet was worse to walk on; the coffee maker was not clean.”
